ODYSSEY

The world of Alterlund was once a prosperous, beautiful one. It was not perfect, by any means, but its teeming, mixed populace was largely happy. Trade boomed, great, bright cities flourished, and ancient forests were revered while odd flying machines sailed the skies.

What troubles and enemies there might be were taken care of by the Ancient Guardians. The eldest of the elders, wisest of the wise, these Sages watched over Alterlund from their mighty, breathtaking Towers. Their magic allowed them to protect the people from evil; some even believed them to be gods.

But where there is light, there is also darkness…

A mysterious, nameless group crept into the safe haven. One by one, they killed the Guardians, sending their spirits fleeing into obscurity, and corrupted the great Towers. Without its eternal protectors, Alterlund soon fell. The ones responsible placed themselves on high, as Rulers of all, and established an empire where only they and their followers rejoice.

Ten years have passed…

One soul, apprentice to one of the Ancient Guardians, gathers his energies. He knows his world must be saved, before its light is lost completely, but there are few now who dare stand against the dictators in these times. He cannot do it alone.

And so he looks to other worlds. He seeks out those who have met darkness and prevailed, and pulls them into Alterlund to aid him in his quest.

I must be a glutton for punishment, for wanting to put this into action. But once I have an idea, I cannot help myself. If I do not breathe life into it, then it will run my mind ragged until I do. There is also the simple fact that I love playing RPGs with the folks here at the Shrine.

So here we have it. Another RPG, brought to you by yours truly, and the awesome Lil_luv. We hope this story generates some interest, and that it may open a window to those of you out there who might be a little intimidated by the beast that is KH:O.

Before getting started, though, let’s get some information out of the way.

***

RULES

1. Please do not god-mod. You are responsible for your character and your character alone. Try not to force another player’s character to act or react, at least without their permission or consent.
2. Your posts can be as long or as short as you would like them to be. All we ask is that you use story format and not script format. By that, I mean writing in third or first person, depending on what you like.
3. You can have as many characters as you like. Just be sure that you can handle them all. You can play as an OC or as a canon character; just be sure to put up a good character chart for the OC. The big requirement here is that your hero—should you choose to play as one—should have had some experience fighting evil in his or her past. And since the populace of Alterlund is mixed, your character can be of any race, fantasy or otherwise. If you would like to play a villain, let me know. I’ll give you all the information you’ll need.
4. This RPG will be dark, and violent, but try not to go overboard with gore and foul language.

***

That should be it. As I said before, I hope there is some interest, and that we get some willing players.

Please? XD

For the love o' God, people, let's keep this one running for a good long time, pleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasePLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAASE!! :D

Lemme see if I can try again with the characters from my Spaceman Spiff fic project.

***

Name: Calvin Watterson
Codename: Spaceman Spiff
Age: 23
Race: Human

Abilities: While he doesn't possess any magical powers whatsoever, he isn't at all defenceless. He's very quick on his feet. He's quite fast and agile, knows some hand to hand combat, is an expert marksman with a laser pistol, and is a very fast thinker. With the job he has, he absolutely HAS to be a very fast thinker.

Appearance: Has blonde, spiky hair, bright blue eyes, and can usually be seen with a cocky smirk on his face. Though whenever he knows the situation is serious enough, he'll lose that smirk in a hurry. His normal attire consists of a red and black striped t-shirt worn over a long-sleeved turquoise-coloured shirt, black pants, and dark red sneakers.

The standard Spaceman uniform, which he's required to wear whenever on a mission, consists of a light blue shirt with a black lightning bolt symbol on the chest, yellow shoulder pads, a yellow glove on the right hand, a black, metallic gauntlet on the left hand with different functions, light blue pants, yellow boots, and a yellow utility belt, where a Spaceman or Spacewoman keeps most of his or her weapons.

All Spacemen also wear a pair of black goggles over their eyes. When the goggles are placed on, digital white lights appear on the lens, and change shape, depending on the wearer's emotion. For example, if the wearer is surprised, the lights become big, round circles. The goggles also have different vision modes to switch through, such as night vision, or heat vision. There's also a function to audio or video record whatever is happening around the wearer.

Spiff's weapons consist of the standard Death Ray Blaster, which shoots electric bolts, and some smoke bombs.

The standard metal gauntlet on his left hand can shoot a grappling hook, which can allow him to climb up a wall or building, or even allow him to swing across some gaps that he can't quite make across by himself. The gauntlet can emit an energy shield to protect a number of people from certain attacks. Spacemen can also spray knockout gas with these gauntlets, should they be assigned to bring back an enemy alive for interrogation. Although, Spiff did put in a request to have his gauntlet modified to include a built-in music player. Normally, Spiff never likes to go into a mission without some music playing in the background. He seems to think appropriate battle music would make the fight that much more epic.

Background: Growing up in Chagrin Falls, Ohio was quite boring for young Calvin Watterson. His home was always too quiet for his tastes. He always dreamed of going off on wild adventures, and seeing new places and rare sights. A couple of years after graduating college, he was soon recruited to join the Spacefarers Alliance, but as a mere soldier in training. As he was new at the time, he was a bit inexperienced, often making some bumbling mistakes during his training sessions. Over time, however, he would improve greatly. His marksmanship with a laser pistol was something to behold. And he was quite fast and agile on his feet. And he quickly became one of the best pilots in the Alliance. Commander Spittle noticed his growing talents, and sent him and other soldiers in training on their first mission to the planet Zok. The soldiers were assigned to protect the city of Zartok from an invasion of evil aliens known as Zorgs. It was here where Calvin's skills were put to the test. The battle was violent and bloody. The Zorgs were ruthless. And many of Calvin's fellow soldiers had fallen. But he wouldn't give up. He remained headstrong, and kept fighting on. Soon, the Zorgs' numbers had been greatly reduced, and they were forced to retreat. Spittle congratulated him, and appointed him as a member of the Alliance's elite team of Spacemen, giving him the codename “Spiff”. From that point on, Spiff would have many adventures exploring the outer reaches of space, and fighting the evil Zorg army, led by Lord Zarthron.

Spaceman Spiff is always eager and ready for Spittle to assign him another mission, as that would mean a new adventure for him. Another opportunity to seek out new life, new worlds, and maybe bust some Zorg heads. Normally, he acts before thinking, which often puts him in very dangerous situations very fast. However, his brain will race furiously to come up with an idea that will get him out of these situations just as fast as he gets into them. Though he often takes pride in the fact that he's one of the Alliance's most valued Spacemen, likes to boast about himself, and sometimes comes off as a bit of a jerk, he is not at all heartless. When it all comes down to it, Spiff has a heart of gold, always looking out for the innocent and helpless, and will always answer the call for help when he is most needed.

As far as personal interests go, he seems to be a fan of most things that came from the 1980s. It's why you can normally find him playing music from the player in his gauntlet that came from that era, whenever he's locked in a fight with the Zorgs. He's also a fan of most things Star Wars, Batman, and Looney Tunes.

***

Name: Hobbes Siberia
Codename: Spaceman Mort
Age: In human years, he'd be considered 24
Race: Tiger

Abilities: Like Spiff, Mort doesn't possess any magical powers whatsoever. But being a tiger, he has naturally quick reflexes, speed, and agility. Much more so than Spiff. He's at his fastest when he's running on all fours. He's also more skilled in the ways of stealth, able to hide in the shadows and sneak up on his enemies with ease. He's more skilled in hand to hand combat than Spiff too. He's very ferocious in combat. His teeth and claws are really something to fear.

Appearance: Hobbes is a tall, lean tiger of the planet Pantherinae, with natural orange fur and black stripes. His belly, muzzle, paws, and the insides of his ears are covered with white fur. He also has a black nose, yellow eyes, and a long tail, also orange in colour, with black stripes. Normally, he has a kind, heartwarming smile on his face, yet most of the time, whenever dealing with Spiff, he'll frown, knowing something bad is bound to happen. Usually, whenever something does happen, he'll freak. His eyes shoot wide open, his frown grows larger, showing his teeth, and his tail fluffs up.

Much like the other members of the Alliance's elite Spacemen team, he wears the standard Spaceman uniform whenever he's on a mission, as described above. The shirt, the gloves, the belt, the weapons and gadgets, everything.

There are some instances, however, when he sees no need to use the grappling hook function in his gauntlet, as he can perform some feats of agility without it, him being a tiger born with natural athletic skills.

Background: Hailing from the planet Pantherinae, a planet of sentient, anthro tigers, Hobbes Siberia was happy with his tranquil life, always taking it easy, and laying back without any problems. Zarthron had soon disrupted this peace, however. Ever greedy for power and control, he led a faction of his Zorg army to conquer this world. Now, the tiger people are in constant war with the Zorgs. Hobbes was one of the many tiger people who took action, and fought back against the Zorgs. Hobbes notably fought the Zorgs with much more passion and ferocity than his fellow tigers. The higher ups at the Spacefarers Alliance took notice of this, and allowed him to join the Alliance as a new recruit. Hobbes accepted, willing to do anything to drive the Zorgs away. Hobbes first met Calvin in training, and the two took an instant liking to each other, becoming fast friends. Soon, the time came for Hobbes to prove himself as a worthwhile addition to the Alliance. He was among the soldiers sent to protect the Zokian city of Zartok to ward off the Zorg invasion. He bravely fought alongside Calvin, despite the odds that were stacked against the Alliance soldiers. Soon, they succeeded in driving off the Zorgs. Along with Calvin, Hobbes' skills were also recognized, and he was appointed as a member of the Alliance's elite team of Spacemen, given the codename “Mort”. Hobbes, aka Mort, is often partnered up with Spiff on various missions and assignments, as the two work very well together.

Spaceman Mort, like Spiff, is very caring, never turning down anyone who needs his help, and always protecting the innocent, fighting for justice and everything that's good. But that's where the similarities end. Hobbes never goes looking for a fight. He's never willing to throw himself into danger just for the heck of it. Only when he needs to. Also unlike his friend, he always insists on thinking the situation through rather than running headlong into something without considering the consequences. Despite what they may or may not agree on, Spiff and Mort have a strong friendship, and always rely on one another to do the right thing, and look out for each other. Even if Spiff is brash, brags a lot about himself, and is impatient, Mort has faith in him, knowing full well that he would never do anything dishonest, or anything that would endanger innocent lives. Clearly, the two share a bond that can never be broken.

Mort is also hungry most of the time. Despite his skinny appearance, he eats very frequently, his favourite food being tuna fish. And even when he does get his fill, his stomach is never satisfied for too long, as he'll become hungry again.

***

Name: Susie Derkins
Codename: Spacewoman Lyla
Age: 23
Race: Human

Abilities: Much like a lot of the other members of the Spacemen team, she doesn't have any supernatural abilities. She's very proficient in hand to hand combat, and very athletic. She's also more of a tactician than Spiff is. While Spiff prefers to think of plans on the fly, Lyla likes to actually take the time to plan out offensive and defensive strategies. Which means whenever she's partnered up with a fellow Spaceman or Spacewoman on an assignment, she's the one who usually leads the charge.

Appearance: Smooth, brown hair that reaches her shoulders, brown eyes, usually has a kind smile on her face. That smile disappears whenever she gets angry. Then she has this mean scowl on her face that could frighten mostly anybody. She can usually be seen wearing a purple tank top, a pair of blue denim jeans, and white and black sneakers.

As stated above, she's required to wear the standard Spaceman/Spacewoman uniform whenever she's on a mission, carrying the same weapons and equipment.

Background: Susie is sort of a childhood friend of Calvin's, growing up as his next-door neighbour. Calvin used to hate her when they were both children, because girls reeked of "cooties", and were inferior to males. Susie would be amused at times, but mostly, she was just annoyed with him. Now that they're grown up, they've become better friends. Sort of. They have a love-hate relationship. The two remain close friends, yet because their personalities and ways of thinking severely clash with one another, they're constantly getting on each other's nerves and annoying each other. This can usually range from exchanging smart aleck comments, to outright shouting and yelling at each other. Despite all this however, they really do care for each other's safety, and won't allow anything bad to happen to one another. Which leaves one to think that there may be something deeper between the two...

Much to their luck (or chagrin, they didn't really know which one it was), Susie was recruited to join the Alliance, joining her childhood friend. The training was hard, tough, and harsh. They didn't let up on her just because she was a girl. But she saw her way through, and developed the skills she has today. Along with Calvin and Hobbes and many other soldiers, Susie was sent to Zartok to protect the inhabitants there from the Zorg invasion. Though she saw that Calvin was still just as brash as ever, she really got to see how much he had matured over the years. Though initially he was excited to kick some Zorg butt, now he was much more serious about protecting the city, and warding off the Zorgs. When push came to shove, he really did care about all the innocent lives that were at stake. Eventually, all of the Alliance soldiers that were left drove back the Zorgs, forcing the aliens to retreat. The soldiers that made it back to the Alliance space station were welcomed back with open arms. Everyone congratulated them for their efforts. When Calvin, Hobbes, and Susie were inducted into the elite team of Spacemen, Susie felt proud of herself. But more than ever, she was proud of Calvin, who proved to her that even if he does comes off as a jerk sometimes, in the end, he cares for everyone around him.

Spacewoman Lyla is a lot like Mort. She's more down-to-earth than Calvin is, a bit more realistic, and sensible. She never tries to rush into anything without thinking it through first. She's nice and kind to almost everyone around her. She'd never do anything to hurt any civilians, or any of her loved ones. However, whenever she gets angry, she can be pretty scary. What usually provokes her is whenever injustice rears its ugly head. Calvin gets on her nerves pretty easily too. One should also be aware not to make any jokes about her... *ahem*... chest. That's just about the easiest way to get your ass handed to you.

***

I'll add one other bio later on.

Not sure if these could really count as canon characters, since they've basically been reimagined for my project.

Sweet! Welcome aboard, Soni.

And, yes, let's work hard to keep this one running. I have a mind to do just that; we've done it with KH:O, after all, even when it nearly ground to a halt in the past few months.

Anyway, some characters of mine...

***

Name: The White Knight, or the Man in White

Age: Unknown

Race: Appears to be human

Appearance: Tall, lanky, and incredibly, unnaturally pale, the White Knight has long, blond hair and ice-blue eyes. He is always dressed quite elegantly, and always in white. He carries a sword as a weapon, which is disguised as a cane.

History: The White Knight--or as he is also called, the Man in White--has no known name. Even he introduces himself by his title, rather than a personal name. Just as his true name is a mystery, so is his past, though he appears to be human. He is one of the members of the cruel group that attacked and overwhelmed Alterlund, and he oversees one of the many districts of the land.

Personality: The White Knight is sadistic and cruel to a fault. He enjoys hurting others for the joy of it, and he often goes out of his way to "play with his food". However, the White Knight does not slack in his work or Ruling. He often takes care of problems in his district himself, as he despises loose-ends or nuisances.

Abilities: While not magic, the White Knight is an exceptional warrior. Agile and graceful, he is a master of the blade. He is also stronger than the average person, and his hand-to-hand abilities are nearly as strong and talented as his swordsmanship.

***

Name: Coraline Jones

Age: 11/12

Race: Human

Appearance: Thin, and a little tall for her age, Coraline has dyed her brunette hair blue. She has a few freckles, and a bit of a crooked nose, but is, more or less, your average human, little girl. She is usually wearing her prized yellow raincoat, yellow swampers, and a Michigan ball-cap to replace the Academy cap she lost just recently.

History: After moving to Oregon with her parents, Coraline discovered a small doorway in her new home. It led to an interesting, if odd, Other World, where an Other Mother gave her the attention and color she wished for. Unfortunately, the Other Mother was a beldam, a witch who lived on the souls and life of children she trapped in her web. Coraline managed to escape, and save her parents and the souls of three other children.

Personality: Sarcastic and spunky, Coraline is brave, resourceful and able to think quickly on her feet. It is in large part how she was able to defeat the beldam. She has a good heart, but she does have something of an overly aggressive, jerky side to her.

Abilities: While she may not have any powers, and be your usual kid, Coraline is quick and tough. She does what she has to do to get the job done, even if she is defenseless or on the losing end. She also has excellent aim.

***

Coraline is, of course, from the titular movie based on the Neil Gaiman book. If you haven't seen it, or read the book, do it. It is creepily awesome.

Oh cool! Ya picked Coraline! Awesome choice.

I have a few ideas of my own, and considering the only RPG I've been running so far is KH:O I think I'm okay to do a second one. Nothing is really stopping me.

Its just one thing, I don't know who to bring in as a starter. Change, if I send you a list of potential candidates can ya help me narrow them down a bit? I wanna know which ones I should consider bringing in.

Yep. I just can't seem to stay away from Sonic when it comes to these things. :D This time around, my main Sonic character is Espio.

Espio's appearance here doesn't really take place at any particular point in the Sonic timeline. Let's say roughly around Sonic Colours. With the different voice cast, some of the characters sound older, so I'd like to imagine that they've aged about two years or so.

***

Name: Espio the Chameleon
Age: 18
Race: Chameleon

Abilities: Espio has devoted a lot of his time training himself in the ways of Ninjitsu. As a result, he has become a very skilled ninja, able to take opponents on using a unique martial arts style, and putting his shurikens and kunai to good use. He's also a good detective, able to gather together information and research.

He can smash his head into his enemies and knock the wind out of them. This can be especially painful with that horn on his forehead.

As he's a chameleon, he can render himself invisible, though he needs to have complete concentration to keep himself hidden, as he could lose said concentration by even the slightest distraction.

He can lash at foes with his long, and incredibly strong tongue, and even toss them about with it.

He also has the ability to scale walls and ceilings.

Appearance: He has a purple body, with smooth, barely visible scales, a tan skin muzzle, and a heart-shaped tummy/chest, yellow eyes, a yellow horn above his muzzle, no visible nose, a long, coiled tail, and three black spikes on his back.

He wears white gloves with triangular violet pads, which are backed by black cuffs, with white bandages in the middle segment. He wears violet shoes with black straps and accents, the collars looking similar to the cuffs backing his gloves.

Background: Before the Chaotix Detective Agency came into being, Espio was a private detective himself, a while before he ever decided to train himself to be a ninja. He believed that an ancient civilization had once existed on an island that had at that time mysteriously risen from the ocean, and went to investigate. However, he ran into trouble when he had his first encounter with the evil Dr. Eggman. It turned out that this mysterious island was the evil doctor's new base of operations, his Newtrogic High Zone.

Espio tried to fight back against Eggman's machines, but eventually, he was captured and thrown into one of his Combi-Confiner booths, the doctor's intentions clearly being to freeze him in time. However, before he could succeed, Knuckles the Echidna came to his rescue, while Eggman made his getaway. Knuckles and Espio soon set out to free some others who had come to the island and were unfortunate enough to get caught, including Mighty the Armadillo, and Espio's soon-to-be fellow detectives, Charmy Bee and Vector the Crocodile. Once everyone was freed, they all put a stop to Eggman's plans to nab all of the Chaos Rings and rule the world. Afterwards, Espio realized that he was such a hothead, and figured maybe he should teach himself to be more disciplined and calm. When he met up with Charmy and Vector soon afterwards, the three thought of the idea to start up a detective agency together, with Vector as their leader.

Over time, Espio would become much more calm and disciplined in his ninja training, and would go on to solve many cases with his friends and comrades, Vector and Charmy.

Whereas Vector can be childish at times, and Charmy is loudmouthed and obnoxious, Espio is usually silent, and quite reserved. However, the times when he's silent and keeps to himself is only because he's meditating, storing spiritual energy for when he next goes into battle, so it's nothing that anyone should worry about. Espio is calm, disciplined, and wise. He's very serious when it comes to solving crimes and fighting evil, and has a militaristic discipline. When one talks to him, he can come off as being very opinionated and self-obsessed. But when push comes to shove, Espio remains loyal to his friends and allies, always focusing on his current mission, and fighting in battle with much determination, never intending to lose.

Spyro the Dragon

Age: 16/17

Race: Dragon

Posted Image

History: As an egg, Spyro's nest in the Dragon Temple was attacked by an army of apes and his future mentor Ignitus was forced to send the young dragon down river into the arms of a loving dragonfly family. It was only years later when Spyro learned of who he truly was and discovered that he was needed to help the Dragon Elders save their world from the ravaging ape army and their supposed leader Cynder, a black dragon of malicious intent.

As Spyro unlocked more of his long dormant abilities he discovered that Cynder was from the dragon temple as well, stolen while still an egg and twisted into becoming a slave to the Apes' real leader, the Dark Master. With Spyro's intervention, Cynder's plan to revive her master was stopped and she was freed from his influence.

Spyro did not have time to lick his wounds however. He had strange dreams, the moon became eclipsed, Cynder ran from the temple, still feeling guilty over the things she had done and the temple itself came under attack from the apes shortly after her departure. Believing all these to be signs of a prophect that foretold the Dark Master's return coming true the dragon elder sent Spyro away to find a safer haven. After several adventures, including a brief reunion with Cynder that ended when she was kidnapped by the apes once more, Spyro found his way to the Chronicler an old Blue dragon who told him of the Dark Master's history. That he was a purple dragon as well, named Malefor whose insatiable thirst for power turned him into the fabled dark master. More disturbing Spyro was told that his return could not be stopped and cynder would return to his fold against her will. Refusing to believe that, Spyro wen toff to save her. He accomplished this task, but was exposed to the evil of the Well of souls the site of Malefor's return. Malefor was freed and Spyro almost gave in to the evil as well.

Spyro was forced to use his power to encase him and Cynder in a crystal for three years. When they awoke they were chained together and surrounded by enemies. They escaped thanks to the efforts of Hunter the Cheetah and together sought to bring down Malefor who had since re-risen to power. Through many battles both he and Cynder confronted the corrupted monster and sent Malefor back to his prison as well as undid his plans for world destruction.

Since then Spyro's life has been relatively more peaceful. Although bandits, monsters and pirates make their preseance known they are hardly as big a threat as Malefor posed. Spyro himself has become older and in more control of his powers. Cynder has remained by his side as Spyro's mate and constant companion since the end of the war, the two are rarely apart. Despite the bumps towards this end, Spyro's life is now relatively peaceful.

Abilities: Being a purple dragon allows Spyro access to many abilities. Besides flight and his physhical prowess, Spyro's most powerful resource is his command over the elements through his breath. Most dragons have only one element power, Spyro has all four of them as he is able to use fire, ice, lighting and earth.

He also has a fifth power that requires an extensive build up of rage that is focused through the sting of battle. Called the fury breath Spyro rarely uses it unless he has to. Purple dragons are known to have other abilities, as Spyro was once able to control time for a short period. But Spyro has not sought out to unlock many of these powers again instead honing his more reliable powers. He also fears of growing too powerful, and becoming more like Malefor, so that keeps him in check as well.

Personality: Spyro has become more confident and outspoken since the end of the war, Before he was very meek, mild and unsure of himself. While parts of that have remained, Spyro's is now more ready to take stands, his resolve steeled by the battles with Malefor's forces. He remains humble, mostly wanting to just live out a normal life with Cynder, but his relationship with the dragoness has rubbed off on him a bit as Spyro has become more brash and grown a better sense of humor as well.

If one thing hasn't changed, its Spyro's fear of destiny and the enormous amounts of responsibility he heaps onto himself. He does not share burdens easily and while he knows he can defy destiny his duties have grown since the end of the war. Many Dragons and other races of his world look up to him, something he is not entirely comfortable with. He still feels weak for giving in to the power of the well of souls, and it has stunted his development of other powers out of fear of making a similar mistake. if there is any comfort in his life it is Cynder who assures him that his burdens are hers as well and they shall face them together.

Tali'Zorah Vas Neema

Age: 23

Race: Quarian

Posted Image

History: Tali's people, the Quarians were exiled from their homeworld 300 years ago by their own creations, the Geth. A race of machines the Quarians made to make their lvies easier by performing mundane repetative tasks. When the robots' AI started to grow so did their curiosity and they began to ask questions of their creators as to the meaning of their existence. Fearful that the Geth would rise against them the Quarians tried to shut down the Geth, but the Geth struck first in a newlyborn reactionary response of self-defense. Soon the Quarians were forced from their homeworld, leaving on an armada of ships called the Migrant Fleet. This "Flotilla" served as the home forover ten million surviving Quarians, but came with a price as the sterile enviroment of the ships ruiend the immune system of the Quarians forcing them to remain in their envirosuits or risk possibly dying from exposure.

It was this enviroment that Tali, born as Tal'Zorah nar Raaya, was raised in. A socially tight-knit community of millions of nomadic aliens, forced to travel the stars forever in search of a home, treated by the rest of the galaxy as vagrants and nuissances. (Space faring Gypsies if you will) Naturally the Quarians began to heavily resent the Geth, Tali was no different.

Her Mother died a few years back to an airborne virus, while Tali was saddened by her death, it hurt more because of who she was left with. Tali's Father was a work oriented man, heavily engrossed in his work. He rarely had time for his family, rarely smiled and citied his work as more important than spending time with his daughter everytime. Because of his high status in the government of the Quarian people as an Admiral had a lot of work to preoccupy himself with, forcing Tali to make her own way in life. Tali loved her father, but he rarely if ever showed that he cared about her. She secretly resented him for it.

When Tali reached maturity she was sent out on her pilgrimage. A passage into adulthood all Quarians take, where they leave the flotilla and search for something valuiable to return back hom with. This gift would be the Quarian's way of being accepted on a new ship.

Whiel out in the vast Galaxy, Tali learned of that Geth had resurfaced and were attacking human colonies. Curious, she tracked a number of Geth to a secluded world and found evidence on one that implicated that a Spectre, a special forces operative inservice to the Galactic Council, named Saren was coordinating the Geth attacks.

Realising the value of this information, Tali hurried to get it to people who could use it. Unfortunately she wound up being cornered by Saren's assassins. Luckily for her, she was saved by a Human, an Alliance marine named Commander Shepard. With Tali's help, he was able to prove Saren's crimes to the Galatic Council and after being sworn in as a Spectre himself was sent after Saren.

Tali would find herself aboard Shepard's shipe the Normandy and set herself up in the ship's engine room. The human crew readily accepted her as part of the team, admiring her mechanical genius and readily enjoying her warm social attitude and pleseant company. It was through Shepard and his crew that Tali completed ehr pilgrimage when the Commander let her have a copy of Geth Intel cache that they had found, revealing much about the Geth and their evolution over the years. Invaluable information towards the Quarian cause to reclaim their home planet. Tali, ever grateful, promised to stay on a see the mission through to the end and stop Saren.

It turned out, however, that Saren was not the real threat. He was a but pawn in a far more devastating event on the horizon, a mass galactic genocide orchaestrated by a race of malevolent space-ship sized sentient machines called the Reapers. They were using Saren and the Geth return to the Milky Way Galaxy and renew a cycle of extinction that would see them enslave, indoctrinate, abduct and ultimately exterminate all life in the galaxy. Why? No one knows, but their arrival is coming soon.

Tali helped Shepard stop Saren's plan to help the Reapers return, by killing the indoctrinated Spectre and destroying the Reaper's herald, a Reaper called Sovereign, from ushering the in it's brethren's return. But Shepard knew they had only delayed the Reapers, and vowed to stop them no matter the cost.

The vow would seemingly go unfullfilled. Months later, the Normandy was attacked and destroyed by a mysterious alien craft and Shepard was killed along with the great alliance warship. Tali survived, but she and the others kenw they had lost much in this attack, not just a great man but great friend.

Tali picked herself up from the disaster and moved on with her life. She returned to the Flotilla with the hope that she could at least prepare her people for the coming Reaper storm. If Shepard could not be around to stop them, perhaps she could at least prepare her own people for when the time came. She delivered the Geth intel to the captain of the starship Neema and was accepted onto the crew of the ship adopting the name Tali'Zorah Vas Neema. She warned her people of the coming Reaper threat, and unlike the rest of the galaxy they seemed more inclined to listen, trsuting Tali's judgement. Of course, considering Quarian history, their past dealings with genocidal machines probably made it an easier story to accept.

Tali's experience found her placed pm missions the Admirals deemed, "Necessary for the continued survival of the Quarian people." She quickly became respected among the Quarian people for her reputation, but the new job came with doubts. The missions were increasingly hazardous and except for a few people she could trust, Kal'Reeger of the Migrant Fleet Marines, her companions on this escapades were less than team players. She often questioned the cost of these misadventures, wondering if most of them were reaqlly worth it, even if they accomplish her dream and that of the entire Quarian people to regain their homeworld.

Tali at times misses her days aboard the Normandy when she did feel like she was making a difference. When Shepard would come down and let her prattle on about her people's history and her own life. She always thought she was being boring and overly talkative, but he always seemed interested and ready to listen. He treated her no different than the rest of the crew, a rarity when it comes to Quarians and othe races. Sometimes she thinks maybe he's still out... but as she has had over a year to mourn her loss she tries to ignore those feelings more and more.

Abilities: Tali's mechanical and technological knowledge even exceeds average Quarian standards. When one considers that the Quarian people are generally all highly skilled in fields of technology that is high praise. Her time fighting the geth has also increased her knowledge. Tali can overheat enemy weapons, has learned how she can not just overload synthetic enemies and their sheilds, but drain them to boost her own shields and her own hacking skills have also greatly increased.

One peculiar trait of hers though is her personalized combat drone. A program she designed from scratch, combat drones are used by militaries all over the glaxy. They are roving balls of electronic energy that can serve a variet yof functions. Tali's custom made Drone is a purplish pink drone she has affectionately named Chikita Vas Paus. Very few people actually name their combat drones, but considering how much pride Tali takes in her work it is not hard to udnerstand why she has a certain level of affection for the thing, it helps that combat drones have no AI so she has no animosity towards it.

Personality: Tali hungry for knowledge, incredibly tech savy, incredibly nice, selfless to others, highly social and outgoing but she is a complete nervous dork. She will often go off on tangeant when she is nervous, will explain herself at length and will tongue tie herself when she is trying to explain her feelings. Her reasoning is no one can see her expression through her envirosuit so she has to be very clear what she is feeling.

And she is very clear if you piss her off, Tali does not take betrayal of trust, belitting of her people or endangerment of her friends very well. She will not hesitate to speak her mind and tell you exactly what she thinks, in this regard she can be very blunt. She also has a bit of a deadpan snarker streak because of this. Lose her trust and its hard to get back.

One final important detail, Tali hates Artificial Intelligence. She does not trust synthetic lifeforms (robots) or AI programs in general. She believes they will always seek to do away with organic life, as they have no use for it. It is a peculiar kind of hatred, it is not based on racial backgrounds or stereotypes, its more on a personal level, seeing them on the same morality scale as organics. Tali's beliefs about AI were only further confirmed through the Geth attacks during her pilgrimage, but in truth she somewhat realises why the Geth rebelled, so they would not become slaves. If nothing else Tali feels making a race of slaves was wrong, the decision to deactivate the self-aware Geth not so much. Considering that she played no part in their attempted genocide and that she must pay for it by living forever in a envirosuit, her anger at machines becomes much more understable. She is paying for crimes she did not commit, while the Geth themselves remain unpunished for what they did to her people.

John Marston

Age: 38

Race: Human

Posted Image

History: Born in 1873 to an Irish drunk and Prostitute mother, John Marston has never led an easy life. His father died while he was still young and he was sent to an orphanage until he was 17 when he ran away with his future wife Abigail. Together they bothed joined a man named Dutch Van Der Linde's gang. Dutch taught John how to shoot, how to read and how to survive in the old west. He also taught Dutch how to rob, steal and murder. Dutch justified it to John as taking from those who did not deserve their wealth and giving it to the poor. For a tiem John believed it.

Until one day in 1908, his supposed fellow outlaws and friends abandoned him during a bank heist that went wrong. John wa sleft for dead, but he survived, abandoned the Outlaw lifestyle and decided to raise a family with Abigail.

As the old west died however, his former comrades continued their murderous ways. The government sought to bring them all to justice, and their front man at this fight was known as Edgar Ross. He kidnapped John's family and forced him to comply. John had to hunt down his former friends. It became a personal quest, an attempt to destroy the demons of his past and get on with his life.

Through the help of several characters, nefarious or good-hearted, John eventually tracked down and either killed or captured his former comrades. Dutch was the last of them and while he had obviously gone insane, killing innocent and guilty alike, John could not totally bring himself to kill his former mentor. Dutch opted to kill himself throwing himself off a cliff. Ross seemingly lived up to his bargain and released John's family.

Ross instead merely let John get comfortable on his ranch before attacking it whole sale with an army of soldiers and federal invesitgators in order to punish Marston for his past crimes. In Ross' mind Marston could never be redeemed, and sought to wipe out the last member of Dutch's gang, becoming the sole man responsible for briinging order to the west and forever tarnishing John's name.

John knew he'd never be free of Ross, but his family at least could. As Abigail and his son Jack now ride out of the back their old barn on horseback, John Marston prepares to make his final stand. The old west will die with him, but John Marston will take a few more of Ross' men with him before that time comes.

Abilities: Marston is not a superhuman, but he does have an affinity for weapons and is an expert gunslinger. Marston has purchased a wide array of old west weapons as well as newer technologies such as the bolt action rifle and the 1911 9mm. He still has plenty of classic revolvers and repeaters, as well as his trusty lasso, as what cowboy is complete without one of those. he also brandishes a knife and more recently a Tomahawk Hachet that he can throw. Along with that, he also has dynamite and molotov cocktails for more traditional forms of explosive devices.

Marston is also a survivalist who knows his herbs, an accomplished hunter who can kill a bear with a single bullet through the high at a hundred paces and master horseman. All things a good cowboy needs to know to make it in the west.

Tying into his gunslinger mastery, Marston also has tremendously accurate aim. When he's really focused time itself seems to slow down and allows him to pick his targets to pull off incredibly tircky shots, sometimes killing several men in the span of a few shgort seconds before any of them can figure what happened.

He cannot however swim.

Personality: Marston, despite his outlaw past, is a highly moral person. He's extremely polite to women and understanding towards the plights of those less fortunate. Despite not being a very smart man, he does have his own form of wisdom born out of his own harsh life. He posesses a rather sharp wit to match sharpshooting skills.

Nothing is more important to him though than his family, so much so that during his escapdes to capture his former comrades, he was forced to work with several people he personally despised in order to acheive his goal. It was not something that sit well with him.

Marston remains in a constant struggle to redeem himself, even if at times it seems like a lost cause. He knows he has done horrible things, and has tried to do his best to make up for them. But it always seems as if the world conspires against him. It doesn't help, that the west is a harsh land, harsh enough to dampen anyone's spirits. But Marston keeps going, he keeps surviving, hoping that perhaps one day he can escape the sins of his past or at least provide a better life for his family.

Commander
YAAAY! :D Everyone looks awesome, guys!! I have been itching to roleplay for FOREVER now. I'm excited now! :booya:

Name: Hokuto Centers

Age: 29

Appearance: He has short, wavy brown hair that falls into his cerulean blue eyes. He's fair skinned, like his sister, and well-built. He also has pointed ears, and a haunted look in his eyes. He usually dresses in a pair of baggy jeans, hiking boots, fingerless gloves, a grey wife-beater, and a black, hooded trench coat.

Abilities: He has all the basic magic necessities that an elf has. His element is closer to water so he uses that more, though he is a pretty skilled magician. He is also a very agile and strong fighter. He once could use dark magic, fueled by his previous mistress, but he no longer can.

Personality: Hokuto has always been a rather gentle and peaceful soul. Despite his previous desires to kill his little sister, he never much liked fighting or the idea of it all. Under his Mistress, he was forced to leave his pacifistic ways. But now, he prefers to avoid any kind of confrontation if he can help it. He is very jovial and smart, with a lighthearted personality, but he tends to brood a lot and keep to himself. He always had a habit of shouldering the blame and guilt of every situation. For a while, he could only blame everything on his sister, but upon her death, his guilt increased tenfold and now he carries the weight of the world on his shoulders. He is fiercely loyal and stubborn and a bit on the shy side. Like his sister, he is known to keep secrets.

History: Hokuto used to be the servant of a powerful demon woman called Syrinx. He grew up as a very bitter and angry young man with only the thirst for revenge against his little sister and the love for his Mistress to keep him going. But in the end, when he faced his little sister for the last time, the kindness in Hokuto's heart was re-awakened. Just those words from his sister's lips, "I'm sorry," was enough to break Syrinx's spell over him. But it wasn't broken in time for him to save Ani, his sister, from her demise. Syrinx and Ani killed each other. Blinded by shame and guilt, Hokuto couldn't bring himself to offer condolences to his sister's husband, Johnny, and their young son and infant daughter.

For months, he watched over the family, just in case they needed him. He confirmed later that they didn't and never would. He soon began to travel again, seeking ways to redeem himself for the wrongs he did while he was under the demon's spell. A whole year has passed since the death of his sister. Even now he is still followed by demons working for Syrinx, looking to kill him for his betrayal.

Name: Rain Jewlitt aka Methuselah

Age: Roughly 595 years old

Abilities: Rain can't die. That's his main ability, but with his immortality came the ability of unnatural strength. He isn't much of a fighter, however, and prefers not to unless he has to.

Appearance: Very tall and slender, with long white hair, tan skin, and gentle green eyes. On his chest, where his heart should be, is a large iron cross. Usually wears a slightly futuristic priest's outfit; a long, black robe with a white stripe down the middle and around the collar, with regular black slacks and shoes, with a matching hat and glasses (that he doesn't really need and loses constantly), and two, small silver hooped earrings in each ear lobe.

Personality: Rain is a lovable person. His personality kind of resembles Goku's from DBZ or Vash the Stampede from Trigun. He is goofy and loves to laugh, and he is more gentle than anyone you could ever meet. He also has a haunted air about him, and is rather insecure around people because everyone dies so quickly. He is the "nice screw-up" type. Though he will tell you differently, he is more human than anyone else.

Biography: He is known far and wide as only Methuselah, and it has been centuries since someone has called him by his first name. Several bounties were placed on his head, because everyone wants to know the secrets of immortality. But no one has ever been able to catch him for too long. He was an orphan all of his life and grew up in an orphanage. He and a friend of his, Yuca Collabel, studied to be priests a few years later, but then Yuca turned on Rain one dark day. He shot Rain down and fed him the heart of an "angel," then Yuca took his own life when Rain woke up. Rain was immortal ever since, and now lives in wait for Yuca to be reborn.

Manga: Immortal Rain

That's it for now. I'll add my baddie later, and possibly another character. I haven't decided yet. XD I might make it easy on myself this time around.

This one's sort of Part OC, part canon. It's my character from Dragon Age Origins!

Name: Xerxes Surana

Age: 24

Race: Elf

Appearance:
Posted Image

History: Xerxes was born in the elven alienage in the city of Denerim. At a young age, he was found to be sensitive to magic and was immediately shipped off to Ferelden's Circle of Magi.

There he was raised and trained in the way of magic. He was quite talented and very gifted, so much so that Irving, the first enchanter took a special interest in him and trained the boy himself.

When he was 20, an incident with his freind Jowan led to him becoming a Gray Warden, a group dedicated to fighting the Darkspawn and ending Blights when they occur.

In a battle in the south, things went terribly wrong and Most of the Gray Wardens died in combat, all save for Xerxes and another Gray Warden named Alistair. Together, these two gathered an army a a group of warriors to fight the Darkspawn Horde. Xerxes struck the final blow against the Archdemon himself.

In the end, Xerxes was named the new Gray Warden Commander of Ferelden.

Abilities: Xerxes is a powerful mage, and commands control of Fire, Ice, Earth and Electricity with deadly skill. He has also mastered the magics of Spirit healing and shape shifting.

Personality: Xerxes was a bit of a jokester in his past and rarely missed an opportunity to crack a joke. His time as a Gray Warden, however, has hardened him. He know acts with a cool head and a wise attitude, though his fun-loving natures has been known to peek through every so often.

Cool beans, Xipz. I'll add him to the OC list, since he is your own creation for the game.

I suppose I should add this guy here, too. He is kind of important...

***

Name: Daniel Logan

Age: Unknown

Race: Human

Appearance: Daniel is a willowy guy, very thin and almost emaciated looking. He is getting on in years, so his hair is graying and thinning. He wears the robes of an Apprentice to the Guardians, even now, and carries a staff. The staff is largely ceremonial, though he has been known to use it as a weapon from time to time.

Personality: Calm and cool headed, a father-figure in the highest sense, Daniel tends to think things through. He can be a bit of a dreamer, however; he trusts in his heart above all else, as well as the parting words of his late Master. Though he may be cautious to a fault, Daniel is very willing to fight for what he believes in and those he cares for.

History: Daniel is one of the few surviving Apprentices to the lost Guardians, having served underneath Master Phobos. It is he who found his Master while Phobos lay dying, after the attack by the Rulers, and though he tried to save him, Daniel failed. With his dying breath, Phobos told him that, according to Lore, in the darkest hour, help would come from the stars.

Daniel did not know what to think of this, and so he pushed it to the back of his mind. He forgot about it, and aided various rebellion groups for ten years. But with the world steadily growing worse, he has remembered his Master's words, and with newfound wisdom has come to believe that Phobos meant that the aid from the stars meant heroes from other Realms.

He has sought to bring about just that, by bringing the heroes himself through magic.

Abilities: Daniel is a magic-user, but he is not as strong as some of his fellow apprentices. He is quite good at smaller, pointed spells, but he lacks the great power that would make him a battle-master. As such, he has learned to store magic in his staff, and to use this same staff as a combat weapon.

Okay, I've got two more characters for now. :D ...Well, technically, there are six more characters, but five of them are all in the same person....>.> Ahem.

First, my Good Guy.

Name: Gettou, Motoko
Gettou, Hibiki
Gettou, Fujiko
Gettou, Mikiri
Zero

Age: 16

Appearance: Her appearance varies depending on who she is at the time. Motoko-Chan herself is rather petite in size with shy brown eyes and shoulder length black hair usually tied in pig tails. She has thin rimmed glasses and is usually dressed in her high school uniform.
Hibiki looks the same, only her hair is down and wild around her face and she doesn't wear Motoko's glasses. She is the one who looks the most like Motoko, but wears a smug look on her face that often confuses those around her.
Fujiko is a more mature version of Motoko with a slightly larger chest. She also doesn't need Motoko's glasses and her hair usually frames her face and hides her left eye.
Mikiri usually wears her hair in a strange pony tail atop her head. The best way to tell who she is, however, is by the size of her chest, as odd as it is to say. Often she rips through Motoko's clothes unintentionally, but is not shy to show off at all.
Zero is a combination of all three. Her hair is down and her face is blank like her eyes. You can tell it's her when her eyes become glassy.

Personalities: Motoko is a very shy and well-mannered girl who cares more for everyone else than she does herself. She doesn't feel anger and get's scared easily. She is easily flustered and very gentle. But she always seems to hold a hint of sadness in her lovely brown eyes.

Hibiki is a wild-child with a love of fighting. She is crude and rude and is the most tomboyish of the group. She's very brave and strong-willed and is incredibly loyal and loving. She is also incredibly stubborn and rowdy.

Fujiko is calm and quiet and mature. She is the smartest of the bunch and often pulls them all out of the craziest of situations. She is brave and wise and quite friendly and easy-going, though she does keep to herself more often than not. She is the voice of reason of the group.

Mikiri is a much more childish version of Motoko. She is very bright and bubbly and cute. She loves to laugh. She is the friendliest of Hibiki and Fujiko, but is also the least conservative. She has a great love for food and has a habit of whining, but she has a huge heart and love all of her friends very much.

Zero doesn't have much of a personality. She is made up of only uncontrollable rage. When Motoko goes into this state of mind, everyone before her becomes and enemy and she doesn't care who she kills. Zero is the dark part in Motoko's heart.

History: Motoko was orphaned at an early age when her mother passed away. She was left with three different men who each became her adopted fathers. All three of her Dads were great combat specialists and they each put her through horrible and inhumane training to prepare her for the scary things in the world. That much stress on her young mind caused her to develop a split personality. From one Father, Tatsuya Rukawa the Tiger Killer, the personality of Hibiki was formed. From Jin Hayase the "Sword Saint," formed Fujiko's personality. From Takezou Kuruma the "God of Submission," formed Mikiri's personality. Together, each personality formed HiFuMi. Motoko was horrified by her mental disorder and loathed the idea of blacking out; each time she did, she would find someone hurt by her own hands and it would break her.

She discovered later in her life, thanks to the attempts of her high school friends, that she had a fourth personality buried deep inside of her known as "Zero." Zero is the built up anger and rage inside of Motoko's heart that she could never feel. Knowing that she has such a dark being within her, Motoko now strggles to merge with HiFuMi and silence Zero once and for all.

Manga: Change 123

She...they....are gunna be fun to play.

Now for my number one baddie:

Name: Kara, aka the Serpent Sage

Age: Unknown

Appearance: Her face is hidden behind a luxiurious blue and black mask, decorated with white and black pearls. She is fair skinned and her long black hair is pulled into pig-tails that cascade down her back. She wears a gorgeous, strapless black and blue gown, similar to a ball gown, that falls past her feet. On her arms are elbow-length black gloves and with her, she carries a black staff with a white orb on the top.

Personality: Not much is known about her or her personality except that she is ruthless and selfish. She takes what she wants and doesn't take no for an answer. She is jovial and polite and very intelligent. It's rare to see her get mad.

History: Once, long ago, Kara was a kind-hearted young lady. She worked, together with her younger sister Nira to guide souls to the after life. She became the Sage of Death, meant to act as a Grim Reaper of sorts, while her sister became the Spirit Sage, the one who guides them through to the afterlife. She was satisfied with her job until one day, she vanished without a trace. She returned years later as the Serpent Sage, a dark sorceress working to bring the world under the control of her Master.
