I honestly don't know what to say. We're just gonna have to wait and see what Henderson does before JT comes in. Who knows, maybe we'll get something good. Horribly written, but still good, and hopefully JT can make some sense outta it later. |

I wouldn't say its the worst that could happen. I can think of plenty of worst things. ***** The thing I have to wonder is, if they are going to scuttle Gar and Raven, what was the point of Henderson even reviving it like she did? DC already had them at a point where they could walk away from the plotline last year. Heck, in the Cyborg day-in-a-life issue, Gar was even trying to put Raven behind him. But then they go ahead and have both do almost a complete 180, with Raven even sort of acquiescing? That tells me that however this current story pans out there's still going to be something going on with them, because otherwise it makes no sense to put the characters through this kind of wringer only to put them in essentially the same place they were when they entered. Of course, that's assuming that some thought process has actually been going into Teen Titans for the last year, which is not always evident. But still, none of this feels settled or over. |

They're clearly not going to scuttle the two. I mean, in the interview itself, Krul mentions how Gar's in love with her. Hell, it's practically a part of the two now. I'm not worried about the two at all. They've been in a holding pattern for going on three years; nothing has really changed. I'm not worried about that; I'm mad that the possibility exists that Beast Boy will not be on the team and will be in limbo. Remember post-OYL when he was in limbo for almost two years? I certainly do and this reminded me of those frustrations. I'm not really down with repeating it to the point where I just got insanely mad. |

I doubt limbo would be an opinion if Gar was "voted off the island." He still hold a lot of potential and popularity for DC to just have him disappear. If a mini series isn't in the suggestion box, they'll put him in something worth while. We did just mention Slade's Titan's is down the toilet (and on their first issue too), maybe DL's and KB's theory of Gar leadin a band of D-list Titans and taken out Slade isn't to far off if we mention it to the authoritahs. |

He and Raven both do. The trouble is - and the reason I was irritable when you and King made like you wanted him off the team - that they both have nowhere to go. Much as we love them, they're not really seen as League material. The other Titans book - while not popular - is still tied up for the forseeable future with the Slade business. So where do they go? Miniseries - assuming DC want's to take the risk of banking a mini on the two - or limbo. The latter option is NOT attractive at all. If I had my way, we'd be seeing a Beast Boy and Raven book like what Marvel's doing with Hawkeye and Mockingbird; the trouble is viability as a franchise, which is where we run into trouble. |

I'll admit, there was some little, itty bitty part of me that did want them off. But that was do to some of my pessimism in believing that Gar's persona and reputation seemed like beyond salvaging. And I apologize if that set you off the deep end. But lets just put the water under the bridge. Gar and Rachel are Titans and that's that. So right now, we'll just have to hope and pray that DC has a reasonable plan for those two. |

perhaps both ideas could be part of one plan. A BB/Rae miniseries to rebuild the relationship and establish where they are in their lives, and while this three or four issues run, they tie up Slades connection to the Titans book untill the two stories collide at the end of Slades arc and Gar reclaims the complex. We might have a month or two without our favorite couple if the wheels aren't alredy in motion, but it's a hell of alot better than them dissapearing. However, I don't think they will go away, just move venues. I recently saw a lead statue of Gar, and it was his recent look from the begining of hendersen's run (bootless and really hairy arms) I doubt DC would make such a baubble if they didn't think this version of Gar would be around for the foreseeable future. To clarify, I wasn't worried about Gar vanishing, I just posted this news out of dissapointment that he may not get to redeem himself in the Teen Titans book.
wait, you were yelling at me too... No worries, friend. It's times like this when we can all be understanding if one of us loses hope (or their cool) for a briefe moment |

Thanks for being understanding about it. I feel very bad for snapping at my friends. I hate doing that, even in the midst of anger. |

Sometimes we allow ourselves to snap at our friends because we need to let something out, and we know that are friends are the ones who will forgive us for it. All is well DL, as long as you offer me the same understanding if (more likely, when) I ever break down |

Let's hope it doesn't come to that; I'd much prefer we get some kind of good news to work with here before we all start screaming bloody murder.

I think a couples' mini series would be the best thing to wish for. Just some real substantial time to deepen the connon of the relationship. Plus it would be so cool to have a trade paperback book of nothing but our favorite couple. It would become one of prized novels on the book shelf right next to my first edition Joker/Mask

The rumor as posted originally said that the mini series would have them in a "prominent role". That could mean anything from them being the featured characters, to just being on some new team together, or just being around when something big goes down. Wally West was said to be involved, so its possible Wally could be the main character while Gar and Raven are effectively side kicks in some support role. Or some combination of any of this. Really, it was so vague that there is no telling what it could mean. But whatever the case it is, I suspect the jumping off point is going to be the end of the Wyld arc. That's where the clues are going to be. If the next solicit does indeed give us the end of the arc, the cover and solicit itself will probably be a big clue as to what is going to happen. Two things to remind people of: 1) Didio stated at the beginning of the year that Raven would be "changed, not for the better"; 2) Also at the beginning of the year, Didio mentioned words to the effect that "it had been a long time since events in Teen Titans had a major impact on the rest of the DCU, but that was going to change". The Static arc really didn't have much of an impact, so maybe it was the Wyld arc that he was talking about? So maybe something tremendously important is going to happen in the Wyld arc, something that will force Gar and Rae to go off on their own? The September solicits should be coming out in about two weeks; the October solicits come out the week before SDCC 2010 (around July 17-19). If there is a mini series in the works, then it will probably be announced sometime around the middle of July. |

I suppose its possible. As far as Teen Titans affecting the DCU, it's not the lack of that that's the problem. It's the quality. I'd actually be down with a Titans series headed up by Gar, Rae and Wally. It would give all three something to do. Really, that's what they should have done instead of retooling Titans as Villains for Hire; they should have let the remnants - or Beast Boy, Raven and Wally - recruit some newbies and train them. The Teen Titans have always had this "rebellion against older heroes" thing going on, so they're not really suitable for that, despite Geoff trying. Geoff's original idea for the book - the old training the new - should have been used for Titans post Wolfman/Perez team breakup. But alas, we got the Villains for Hire; I wanted it to be good, but instead we got Ryan Choi killed and stuffed in a matchbox. |
