The only thing that seem right was that JT kinda sounds like he was gonna give BB a different love interest (which is just as worse).

Yes, because stating that Beast Boy falls for girls with baggage SO MEANS he's going to suddenly have a new love interest OMG.

Aren't we jumpin the gun a bit much here, guys?

Idon't hink it much of an assumption at this point, he almost flatly said that (althought he likes the character) he won't be writing him

But you have a point. He did say he likes writing Gar, so maybe Gar not being on the team wasn't his choice. Perhaps Gar will be busy somewhere else so he couldn't be in the book. Perhaps DC has somes plans for him.

As pipe dreams go, it would be cool to see him with the others on the JLA.

Dude, please, calm down. You know I'm not assuming that.

I'm throwing in some pessimism around.

Yes. Because that really helps matters. It's really helped the past four years I've listened to every crackpot theory that came around to explain why this little piece might mean DC is going to just drop the pairing. I'm sorry I EVER got testy over pessimism. I clearly missed it's beneficial value.

I fully realize I'm going to come off like a dick to anyone who reads this thread, but I'm at the end of my rope.

Do I? I don't know what I know anymore. All I know is that this fandom has become a depressing place to be. I've hinted that I've felt that way in the past. But hey, why dance around it anymore.

As my life off the internet turns into a literal manifestation of Murphy's Law, it's nice to know that my favorite place to be on the internet can help keep me from any sort of optimism.

Well personally I think we're getting worked up for nothing. He just mentioned some characters he enjoys writing and apparently one of those was Beast Boy. I'd like to think if he enjoys writing him he would just take Gar off the roster. If anything that would be an editorial decision and I don't think they'd scrap a popular Titan for another D-lister.

It's important to remain optimistic in these times, because let's be honest at this point do we REALLY think it could get that much worse? No. I think it can only go up from here. Especially since Krul did a good job on Titans before.

If anything, at least we'll get a good Titans story. One that will be decent enough to enjoy reading.

He wasn't just talking about characters he likes, but a few characters he likes that won't relate to the ones he's writing on Titans.

By being mentioned as one of these characters it implies that no matter how much he likes Gar, he won't be involved in his writing of the Teen Titans.

I'm honestly convinced optimism and this fandom are like oil and water.

Didn't he mention Gar AFTER he said the previous two wouldn't play a part in the book? I think you're reading tyoo much into it.

DL, dude, remember when I kinda got upset about JMS taking over the Wonder Woman book because he called her a female Superman? You calmed me down a bit. And in the end JMS proved himself with her character so it wasn't such a horrible thing anymore.

You gotta at least give it a chance before damning it all. I understand that this fandom has had it rough for a long time, and that the grass isn't always greener on the other side, but until you get there, or until you can catch a glimpse, you can never really tell.

I'm just frustrated and losing my cool. I would prefer I hadn't acted as I did, but... yeah. This is getting to me and the fandom's not helping.

Don't feel guilty about it. We all get pushed too far and loose our cool once in a while.

We've been on a roller coaster ride for the past several years, and not the good kind where there are thrills and chills but the old, rickety kind that keeps threatening to go off the tracks or come to an abrupt halt in the middle of the action. We're frustrated, disappointed, let down, our nerves are shot. and we feel worn out. There is nothing worse then getting your hopes up only to see them dashed -- except having it happen over and over again. Its no wonder we're on short fuses.

It's getting harder for me to keep from getting mad.

All this negativity.

I need SOME kind of hope to hold on to, but it seems like everybody is outright convinced the worst is around the corner and then something like this comes along and ugh.
