BTW, did anyone check the source recently. On the post they did about JT's first issues with the Titansa they said there would be more revealed in the next week (which is now over)

I check the Source daily during the week. They usually put a "keep checking The Source for more early looks" and so on. It could have meant looks at things in general and not another very early look at Teen Titans.

(at least for now, no chance she'll be gone forever)

We'll see. We've gone this long. I'd prefer to hope DC is not stupid enough to bring her back to life.

From a DC Universe panel at a Canadian Fan Expo this weekend.

Krul is also taking over as the regular writer for “Teen Titans,” beginning with issue #88 in October. He said artist Nicola Scott is doing an amazing job and that she was “born to draw that book.” His roster will feature what he calls “the A-List of the Young Justice crew,” including Wonder Girl, Superboy, Kid Flash, Beast Boy, Raven and Ravager.

The writer teased that Damian Wayne, Bruce’s son and the new Robin, will also appear in the book. “Damian shows up to join the team in the very first issue. We’re just trying to mix it up a little bit because we want to have a lot of fun and he’s a great character to write. So it’s cool having him on board.”

So Damian IS joining.

Most excellent.

Funny, the one time we're happy to have another batspawn on the team, it's the one that's hated by all in the DC universe. :P

Wait, if Conner's gettin his own series, does that mean his off the TT's ???

I know. Isn't it awesome? Damians such an endearing little prick.

No, he's still on. Having a solo doesn't mean you won't be on the team. Otherwise Tim Drake would have never been a Teen Titan.

Ehh, just another character to pull focus away from the less fortunate (though far more interesting) characters who don't have any other books to exist in.

Conner gets his own title, Damian is in all the bat books and Gar, Rae and Rose will stil most likely be secondary characters in their only title.

Oh well, no matter what happens, it still can't be worse than now.

Well now, this is interesting; there's a bit from another coverage of that DC Nation panel that the others didn't report on.

On the topic of the post-"Blackest Night" "dead means dead" rule, DiDio brought up Kid Devil's death in "Teen Titans." There was originally a plan for his resurrection, but to prevent the cheapening of death the plan was nixed. Van Sciver: "I don't want to read any more superheroes crying over open graves."

Whoops. Boy howdy, it sure is a good thing everyone wants dead to mean dead in out comics and fiction, amirite? I mean, resurrection is such a horrible thing, bringing back great characters and cheapening the realism of guys in colorful tights who fight gods and aliens dying.

I wish DC would have made just one last exception for Kid Devil and then went with this, but whatever; the fans demanded it, so I guess we're stuck with "dead is dead" for a few years.

Oh good lord, Fu Manchu.

I wish I'd have thought of that.

I wonder how much "Dead is dead" deals with the supernatural? Could a character come back as a spirit, or zombie, or vampire (though I've had quite enough of the last two, frankly)

My point is, when Eddie first lost his powers, I had been wondering. Then when he died it seemed even more likely that they intended him to become an actual demon. And if you are going to become a demon, the afterlife seems like the first place to go.

So, would it be breaking the riles of "dead is dead" if he died, then instead of cominging back to life, merely found a away to return to the mortal plain, still dead, but as a demon?

I just wonder how far these "dead is dead" roots run...

I think you're overthinking it a bit, man. This "dead means dead" edict is pretty much just "no resurrections", I figure. It won't last forever, but I guess for now we're stuck with it.
