Hey, M'gann is finally in another cover. Also... Damn Conner is going pretty brutal on those flying rays. blasting through two with his eyes and crushing the head of a third in his hand... Yikes... Originally I said "Where's BB in all this?" then I realized that he is probably the Pteranodon. When you can't see that it's green and there are lots of prehistoric looking creatures around, it's kinda hard to tell lol |

Actually, didn't they say in the last solicit that the team had been split? Gar wasn't in the last cover, and he's not in this one. My guess is, he's somewhere else from this group. Maybe he's rescuing Raven all by himself, and when the others finally arrive he's already defeated the bad guy, and then says to them, "What took you so long?" |

Yeah, it's hard to tell if that Pteranodon is Gar. Everything in the back has a layer of red over it. Which makes the hue hard to tell. I hope by this arc Felicia has improved even more; I think the alternate planet premise has potential, it's just going to come down to whether Ms. Henderson can properly utilize it.
That would be awesome. |

Hey anyone else getting a "Dinosaur Island/The Centre" feeling from Darwyn Cooke's New Frontier in that picture? Seriously, those creatures remind me so much of those monsters. Wouldn't it be cool if this whole Wyld thing was in some way a homage to Final Frontier in that regard? Yeah I know, major long shot, totally unlikely, but it would be cool. |

On a second look, I see what you mean, I thought people meant the dragon in the background. I didn't notice the pterodactyl there, but I assume that is him. You can't go by the coloring on this particular cover. Maybe this is when Gar finally takes a leadership role. From the #84's solicit: The Teen Titans are now a team divided as they go on the hunt for Raven! One side is stranded on a dead planet, the other thousands of leagues below the sea. But both are in serious danger as they head closer to a trap set by the dangerous Wyld!
The cover may not actually be depicting the way they're split up into teams. The last cover only had Super Boy, Bomb Shell, Aqua Girl, and Static on the cover, yet they appear with everyone else on this cover. So its likely that, as usual, cover doesn't tell you ****. Hell, even though Kid Flash is center stage in this shot, he might not even have much of a role to play or be important to the story. Yet if you went by the cover, he's the focus, and you would assume the focus of the issue as well. |

I don't know man; that looks to be pretty much the entire team minus Jamie and Raven, so I'm inclined to believe that one dinosaur is Gar, though it is hard to tell. Though this is probably not the finished cover, so it'll be easier to tell when we get closer to the issues street date. |

I think it's Gar because otherwise there are three people missing (one being the goal of the mission) so two seperated from the rest of the team doesn't really qualify as "The Teen Titans are now a team divided as they go on the hunt for Raven! One side is stranded on a dead planet, the other thousands of leagues below the sea. But both are in serious danger as they head closer to a trap set by the dangerous Wyld!" Also, the Pteranodon seems like it is being chased by the catfish/dragon thing. So I imagine it's supposed to be Gar. In fact this cover could be several scenes. Half the team is supposed to be fighting some sea monster (finally aquagirl isn't worthless) but KF seems to be fighting with living earth. in fact, this cover could be up to three scenes. One with KF fighting some earth mover. One with MM, AG, BS and Static fighting the sea creature. And one in this sky with Gar and the dragon. Considering that Cassie and Conner are fighting flying rays, they could be in either the ocean scene or the sky scene. |

Something else to consider is that this is, what, the third issue of the storyline? The solicits tell us they were separated early on, but that doesn't mean that they can't regroup at some point in the story. Honestly, I pretty much expect them to. I suspect there's one or two more parts to the story, so about halfway seems a good point to have the team regroup. |

Its a cover--those monsters you see there may never even be in the issue. Trying to judge anything from this cover is pointless. Like I said, Bart being center stage--the only reasons for that may be that its because its the first cover he's appearing on, and they wanted to highlight that. he may be inconsequential to the issue. There's really nothing that can be discussed from any of this. |

point still stands. Everything we see on the cover could be bull crap. hell, the issue could entirely focus on Raven, with the two teams coming in together at the end for all we really know. It'd be like... the twentieth time just in recent Teen Titans history alone that the solicit and cover wrongly indicate the content of the book. |

I don't really care if none of that stuff happens in the story, the cover is just pretty cool. Monsters and heroes fighting all out. Its very cool looking overall, sorta harkens back to the monsters of the silver age in someways. You know the ones that were all weird looking and came out of the woodwork now and then. Why don't more monsters attack the DC heroes anymore? Matter of fact, why don't evil monsters attack more in Marvel? I miss my Kaiju beat downs, anyone know of any monster fights that happened recently in comics? |

Previews are in. *Sigh* Really hope JT can clean up Gar's obsessiveness. |

You're still paying attention? I've pretty much written the book off in favor of just waiting for JT's run. |
