He at least new the characters and you could tell he had a certain fondness for them and tried his best to make them shine. I don't think Henderson likes Gar at all and she seems likes she does just as much as she can with him so the uppers don't get on her case. I firmly belive she never wanted him on the team and was hoping that DC would let her write him out after the first arc. |

If that's her game, they better make DAMN sure they put Gar and/or Gar/Rae on their own series, or at least put them on another team worth while. Seriously, we need to bring that idea to DC. |

I didn't like the way Winick wrote Gar or Raven, which is about 75% of the reason why I picked up that book. But I might have come around if he'd actually been allowed to write the stories he wanted to write, rather than been forced to dump everything he had planned just a couple of issues in.
There was posted a rumor a few weeks ago on DCMB to that effect. Not sure if there's anything to it considering the source, but the report is out there. |

His Raven was the one that bothered me most. But honestly, I'd have taken what we had over what we have now. Titans #5 and #6 showed me that if editorial had actually bore down on him he could get the job done. With Henderson, she seems to have a gross misunderstanding of the basics and seems to have an even worse case of "quipping", or having a lot of the dialogue be little more than things one might find quotable. We went from a guy who didn't always hit the mark with several characters to someone who not only has trouble giving different voices to characters, but has difficulty with even basic pacing and structure. |

No, we've gone from someone who wasn't hitting the mark all the time to someone who is just waving the gun in the general direction and pulling the trigger. |

That's a pretty spot on description of the way things have gone. To think, the first issue felt like it had so much promise. What the hell happened? |

exactly! her first two issues weren't that bad at all. Gar was peacocking a bit in the first one and Raven's lines ine the second were kinda weird, but other than that it looked like the book was really going somewhere. But then it all started to degenerate after that. the story struicture left, the dialogue went south and the attention to detail was far more lacking. I'd really like to know if something im Hendersons personal life is afecting her focus, or if DC keeps telling her she has to change what she written and then is forced to write a new story rushed on the spot. it's just odd that each book seems to get worse and worse when they started out rather good... |

Technically, her first few issues were good because Sean McKeever was helpin her out before he headed out to do Rose's side-story. But even so, she could've a least remembered a few tips on how to write this. |

1) Felicia Hendeson is currently an executive producer on Fringe. I believe that may be what is taking a lot of her time. 2) I thought her initial treatment of Gar was at best tolerable but little more. I didn't like the way he came off as being a total jackass when he seemed to barge in to take over the Titans, and his treatment in the Dakota storyline wasn't much better. 3) Henderson's dialogue has been banal at best, atrocious at her worst. Still, I do think there has been some marginal improvement over the last couple of issues. But its been very slow improvement, and I don't know if it will be enough to turn things around. 4) Henderson still doesn't seem to have much affinity for either Beast Boy or Raven, which makes me think they were handed to her at a latter date. In any case, they clearly are not the characters she's most interested in. Cassie and her leadership tribulations are becoming the cornerstone of Henderson's run. |

It was my understanding that she left Fringe when she got the deal with DC. I could be wrong but I think thata what I read in her interview |

Actually yes the second season just ended May 20th. Anyways, so I finally got to read the issue. I thought it was alright. Cassie, annoying biatch as usual. This Conner/Lorena thing...for the sake of Cassie getting pissed, I want more of that. The Wylde's origin...seriously? ò_ó Oh and I thought Gar looked rather good in this issue. Waay better than...well, this;

I honestly have no idea why the artist thought that panel was good and didn't straight up redo it. That **** was nasty. |
