If they insist on the shoeless look, the least they could do is give him a new costume so it looks much less out of place.

I can't stand how childish she writes Gar.  He would try and focus on getting Raven back first, but he can take a hint.  After the first time no one listened to him, he would keep whining about it, he would give up on them and try something on his own...

She seems to be following on the Judd characterization. When she was in the enemies hands that time, he was bugging too. Understandable that he'd be upset, but I expect Gar to be a bit more on top of it.

But to be honest I'm just waiting for a new writer and I'm going to simply forget this run ever existed the second we get it.

Please. I hate gar in red, it clashes so much. He looks like a christmas ornament. I much preferd his white and purple number from Geoffs run. Or even the one that was based on the cartoon series outfit. well one can only hope.

I think that's where everyone is at this point. I just hope she doesn't do anything that needs to exist in the DCU continuity before she's done.

I'd rather not have that one back. It looked horrid on Gar. Not even Tony Daniels could make it work.

I'd like the McKone purple and silver outfit back; if not, it would be best at this point if someone just straight up create a new outfit for him. Worked okay on kid Gar in the show, but on adult Gar in the comics it was just... yeah.

Gar's never really been a hero with great fashion sense, honestly.

It ain't even just us; I've seen the series under Henderson referred to as a "monthly abortion".

So yeah, pretty much everyone is ready to get a new writer.

Sad to say, but I'm starting to think there may really be someone else controlling Gar's emotions when it comes to Raven. This is getting way, way over the top. Henderson can't be that clueless when it comes to Gar, can she?

Considering she knows next to nothing about how to write most of them?

Yes.

Remember, Ms. Henderson has the subtlety of a brick.

Think maybe we should notify DC about this? They should've known how poorly the sales are doing or the writing itself on this series a while a go.

Personally, they should just tone down the color, from red and white to something like crimson red and gray. That's kinda how it is most costume transformations. Either few less colors then before or from bright to dark.

If anyone has a Facebook and wants to see what Dan DiDio has to say - plus talk about what's wrong with the book - I'd encourage it, as who knows, might get an interesting answer.

I don't understand why some people like this shoeless look. I mean, just because I enjoy not wearing shoes all the time doesn't mean I'd want to fight crime without them. Broken glass, metal shards, lava, fire, too many hazards in that line of work, not exactly smart to be going around barefoot.

I tried looking, but don't see a facebook account on the guy, just other guys with the same name. You sure he has one???

Unless any of the side-effects from Sakutia includes padded feet along with the green skin, elf ears, and fangs, then most ground hazards wouldn't be a problem. But if no reason, then go ahead and give him the damn shoes, so long as they look cool to match with. Or to make both sides happy, why give him some form of foot covering other then shoes, like some kinda foot wrapping, or maybe a hero version of those new 5-finger shoes.

the only way I'd get on board with BB wearing shoes again would be if they had paw shaped markings on the bottom and he left paw prints in the dirt and sand and such.

aww, come on DL. I'm trying to be diplomatic and reach a comprimise

and the vote is currently 3 to 2 lol

And think of the possibilities. We know his costume has some manner of shapeshifting itselft. Mybe each time we see then they could have different prints on them. One scene they would be cat paw prints, the the next time we see them they could be chimp feet, then maybe bull hooves or duck webs...

it would be a funny little detail for people to paw attention for that wouldn't really effect the stories one way or the other. Kinda like how some artisits draw deadpools belt buckle to match his facial expression at all times.
