Warrior levels of maddness?

I don't know. Warrior had a comic book back in the nineties. It was the craziest goddamn thing ever put to comic page and not in a good way. Even the brain bleach was not enough to wipe the Santa rape issue from my mind...

If this were true - and I'm guessing all this is an April Fools joke - it couldn't be anywhere near the caliber of the WARRIOR comic.

Later on, there's another sequence towards the end that I'm wondering if it might be a clue as to what is going on with Raven (and by extension, Gar):

I've been guessing that M'gann had more to do with what is happening with Raven since the first issue with the Wyld.

The way she reacted to the mystery cat the smuggeled the Wyld. The fact that she was also attacked by the Wyld but we were never told of her injuries (like we heard about Raven's slight reduction in power) Her diary entry after they Wyld thing fled. Not to mention that the Wyld's two main powers seem to be empathic and morphic abilities (which always made me wonder if it had martian origins, or evil offspring of a parallel BB/Rae lol)

I think the next arc will have a heavy focus on Gar, Rae and M'gann. Which is fine by me as they are really the only characters left that I care about.

The only real issue is if they will all still be around when the dust clears. I don't really think(hope) any of them will go anywhere, but you can't deny that if they were planning on writing someone out, these are the kind of foreshadowing one would expect to see.

There is one upside to the chaotic, directionless style that Hendersen's story is taking: You certainly don't see whats coming next because there is no rythm to it.

I'm pretty much positive none of those three are really going to go anywhere. If any of them were going to go, it would be Miss Martian. But the thing about that is that the character's taken several leave of absences from the team; if they were going to drop her off the team now, there would have been no point whatsoever to bringing her back the most recent time.

I think that in some strange way Miss Martian's becoming an ingrained part of the Titans today; kind of like how Martian Manhunter is considered a constant of the League.

Well, I suppose that's true. But personally I would prefer not knowing what's coming next through good writing instead of chaotic storytelling. Still, Henderson's a rookie and I've never been convinced she was going to be on this book for a huge span of time anyway; thoughts that have only strengthened recently.

At WonderCon this weekend, Geoff Johns alluded to some kind of announcement in two weeks at the C2E2 comics convention in Chicago. From the scuttlebutt being said, its sounding like there's going to be a creative team change on TT. I note that the same weekend as the convention is when the solicits for July come out. My bet is, the July issue will be Felicia Henderson's last and this new creative team will start up in August. And that Henderson will be starting a Static Shock ongoing in August.

Geoff also mentioned a couple of moments before said allusion that he wanted to get back to work on the Titans in the future.

I sincerely hope it's sooner rather than later.

But he also said at a couple of other panels that he wasn't returning to Teen Titans.

Which either means he'll be working on something not called Teen Titans but might have some Titans characters in it, or (more likely) its just an announcement of a creative team change that doesn't include Geoff Johns on the team.

I guess we'll find out in a couple of weeks.

Figures. We could never get that lucky. If Johns isn't returning anytime soon then I don't have high hopes; DC's current talent pool isn't exactly overflowing right now. Marvel's got a lot of the young guns these days. The highest profile acquisition I can recall DC having in years is JMS.

I have to ask: Do all DC book switch out creative teams so frequently or is it just the two books I decided to look into?

I mean it's like the Titan books are foster children bouncing from foster home to foster home, never being adopted.

Though, in the current situation that Teen Titans is in, I feel a clean slate may be the best direction.

If someone does take over, I assume that is when the timeline will be restored. All of Hendersen's work will be the pre-BN whilst (hopefully) the new team will pull them into the present.

It's mostly the Titans franchise right now.

Let's give a small rundown on titles. Grant Morrison and Paul Dini have been working on the Batman franchise in one book or another for about five years now. Geoff Johns had a couple year run on Superman and if he didn't have big obligations he would have been working on the stuff on through War of New Krypton. Gail Simone has been on Wonder Woman for three full years now. Geoff Johns has been spearheading the Green Lantern title for six years now if you include Rebirth. Green Arrow had Judd Winnick as it's writer for over five years. Checkmate had Greg Rucka and Eric Trautman for twenty five issues. Booster Gold has had Dan Jurgans pushing the title forward for the past three years. Geoff Johns was on JSA for about seven years. Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray have been on Jonah Hex for five years and counting. Judd Winick did Outsiders for four years.

That's just what I can think of. The situation with Teen Titans isn't linewide. It could, of course, stand for some improvement.

You know, something just struck me. Even though next issue will mostly be Superboy and Kid Flash saving the day, it may turn out to be a feather in Gar's cap. After all, calling Vic for reinforcemants was his idea. Perhaps that may be something the other teammates considering when they think about him as a leader.

Is this a differen t writer than before? If it isn't, I wouldn't count on it.

It's still Henderson. Even so, I don't think it's a possibility that should be dismissed. We're not entirely sure where she's going with any of this.

Only time will tell, I suppose.

Man, that couldn't be more true. She has the most spastic writing style I've ever seen. Ever single issue seems to be going in a completely different direction than the previously. I mean if I didn't know better, I imagine I could read them in succession and think that each one was written by a different person.

I was at C2E2 on Saturday.

Honestly, the distinct impression I got was that DC feels the future of the Teen Titans is in the YJ characters, both the YJ4 and perhaps some of the others that haven't been heard from lately. I heard no talk whatsoever about the futures for Beast Boy, Raven, Miss Martian, or Bombshell... which leads me to suspect that most (if not all) are not long for the team.

Sorry, wish I had better news, but right now I'm not very optimistic at all that Gar and/or Raven are even going to be part of the story much longer.
