Well, we now know who the first member of Deathstrokes Titans squad is going to be. A character Grant Morrison rehabilitated, the hero - though he's one more in the shades of gray - called Tatooed Man. From FCA: Ink #6. ![]() ![]() I pretty much called this months back. But it's nice to have confirmation either way. I actually think he'll be a good fit for what looks to be a gray team in the vein of Secret Six. It has me wondering who else will be on board. My bets are on Ravager, but considering her strained relationship with her father I'm not sure how that will work out. Not to mention I'd rather she punted Bombshell off the Teen team and joined it again. |

Wow, alright, guess it is heading that way. I wonder what the fan reaction is going to be like... I think it might be Ravager. The two of them appear to be coming to a confrontation with each other, if nothing else. They're on the cover of one of the BN tie-in issues, so we'll get an answer there. That or maybe she switches teams with Bombshell, you know. Fans have wanted Rose back, and Bombshell isn't the most loved character, she's been fighting the most with everyone on the Titans except Miss Martian, and she has worked for Deathstroke before. They might pull a switcheroo, have Bombshell go work for Slade, and have Rose rejoin the Titans. I don't know who I'd rather have on Titans anymore, though. I think Bombshell has some potential given the army brat angle (though they need to tone down the bitch aspect). I would have said Rose, but thanks to McKeever killing off Eddie, I lost half the reason I wanted to see her back on the team.

Sean only took away Eddies powers and set up his death (Origins and Omens from back when Sean was still writing the title). He left before he actually wrote that story. So it fell to fill in writer Bryan Miller. I'd like a switcheroo like that, because I honestly prefer Rose with the Teen team. Even without Eddie, she was still a large part of the reason I stuck around. Bombshell is just an irritating fill-in of the role she occupied; and I doubt the army brat angle will really be played up as much, since I don't think it's been brought up since she actually joined the Teen Titans. Out there thought: Perhaps Slade will go for Jason Todd to join the team in his Red Hood guise? |

Jason would fit I think. Who else? I think there's gotta be at least be one other person besides Deathstroke who is associated with the Titans to help justify the name a little more. I don't mean a current member or a hero, but either a reformed villain or a fallen hero from their past. I'd have said Jericho, had his eyes not been torn out. I've seen some people mention bringing Risk back in. There was also that quote from Didio in the interview: Nrama: Are there any other villains we should keep an eye on in 2010? DiDio: By the middle of next year, Deathstroke and Zod will be very front-and-center. That's a pretty short time, actually, since the issue in January still focuses on the remaining Titans. That means between February and what I suppose will be May or June, Deathstroke and his team will start moving toward the next coming event (assumed to be war between Earth and New Krypton). That probably also means not much time for their own stories, and makes me wonder--will this team really be all that gray? I mean, it sounds like they may be thrust into being adversaries for the JLA quite early on--at least in terms of comics--about five issues before the war event begins. Guess we'll see. |

I'm hopin for that switcheroo too, but I get a feelin M'gann, and probably Raven (since she has a better understanding of thing) would be the only ones willing to have her back on the team. Gar maybe, I don't know what his views are on the Wilsons. With Slade, it's been on/off, same can be said for Joey, but not as much as Slade. So I'm guessin Gar would accpeted her. I've seen nothin but negativity when her and her dad are together, even though Slade is doin everything "insane" to protect her. Slade makin a Titans team could be influence her to join so she can just keep an eye him in case of any suspicion. Cousre, she can just do the same if she joined the TT. My out there thoughts: Maybe Batgirl (Cain) under a new alias. yeah she and Slade have a bad history, but lets face it, who doesn't have a bad history with the guy. |

I think the only real opposition would be Cassie, which would depend largely on whether or not she decided to engagify her bitchitude. Aside from Megan and Raven, Rose is pretty much a clean slate with everyone left and she never seemed to have problems with Jamie that I can remember. Also, Gar must not have a problem with her; he had to have been aware she was a Titan thanks in part to the brawl with Titans East and didn't state a problem or the like. For the most part, getting her back on the team wouldn't be all that difficult; it's just a matter of what happens after her co-feature story wraps up.
I think Jason Todd is more likely out of the Batman sect. Cass is in kind of a rut right now. She left the Batgirl identity behind and has left to try and find a purpose in her life again with Bruce gone. He was one of the last good figures in her life and he's gone (presumed dead), which it makes sense to have the loss affect her. Jason fits pretty neatly into a gray area team MO though. He believes he's fighting crime the right way, through lethal force. You could consider him a villain, but considering he targets only villains it puts him in a bit more of a gray spot. |

Sounds about right, I mean fittin in the TT now is nothin but frustration, so it's no surprise it wouldn't be easy for her. But still, I 've got the feelin wherever/whoever Slade is around lately, they'll end up on his team. That said rut was what got me think that it would put Cassie back on the road again. Jason hand's down, but he'd have to look over Deathstroke's criminal record if he is joinin, and if he's as lethal as we know him, that's gonna be difficult. |
