Is it ok for me to be slightly nervous about this? I can't tell if it's nervous or excited because this is just too awesome. But it's like, the JL as I've always known it has been completely changed with the new Trinity on board! I barely had any time to enjoy the originals before they're gone! ![]() I'm being melodramatic. People have gone in and out of the JL pretty much forever, right? But this is still weird, yet cool at the same time. OMG I don't know what to think!

Well, the Trinity and other big guns have been the leaders of the League for about fifteen years worth of comics. JLA and most of Justice League of America up until now, to be precise. I think it's time to give it a bit of a break, you know? You can catch up with the regular Trinity and their adventures with the League in trades, though. For now, let's relax and hope for the best. |

No, I can understand. They certainly need a break. Still, almost the moment I get into comics I get a new Trinity thrown in my face. An awesome new Trinity, but I guess it finally sank in. But, like the original three getting a break (I'm waiting on the edge of my seat to find out what exactly happened to Bruce :D8:), it's about time that the ones who are moving up finally get their big break too. They aren't teens anymore. Like I said, melodramatic. XD -Shrug- |

I'm waiting on the edge of my seat to find out what happened to Bruce too. Grant's going to get to it eventually. But in the meantime, I guess all we can do is wait. Things aren't going to change completely though. Superman is going to return to Earth soon. James Robinson has already confirmed that when Superman returns to Earth he'll be taking part in the League again, even if he's not involved in every case or the like. So there is that. |

Eventually. It can be such a harsh word. Was Superman Returns based off him coming back from the events leading up to his return at this piont in the comics? Because...well, considering the events of the movie... =/ I'm pretty sure not many poeple would like that. |

No, Superman Returns was actually an original story. No need to worry about it infringing on anything. It was movie only. Superman is off planet right now because of New Krypton. The bottle city of Kandor was released and resized, releasing a hundred thousand kryptonians on Earth. The last of the race. Conflicts began and before long the Kryptonians turned their noses up and set up New Krypton, which occupies the same orbit as the Earth on the opposite side of the sun. Superman, torn between the home he's always known and the race he hails from, decides to go to New Krypton for a while to keep an eye on General Zod and to try and keep relations cool while New Krypton forms as a new world. Superman is going to return eventually, of course; no matter what, Earth is still his adopted home and he loves it dearly. He's supposed to be coming back soon. As said, when he returns he'll be a part of the League. But with the cast so large, this allows both he and Mon-El to be on the League, since one can be used in one storyline and the other can be when the situation calls for it.
Indeed. But I suppose they have to let Dick stay as Batman for at least a little while. I suspect sometime in the middle of next year, Bruce Wayne will be on the path back to life and back to the cowl. As it should be. |

Oh, good. That whole falling-out with Lois never happens then? So now you're becoming Dl The All-Knowing for Superman too, huh? Or would it be better to just leave it at Dl The All-Knowing? XD You're so awesome. ![]()
Dick will make a great Batman, and I just can't wait to see more of Damian as Robin, the pompous little prick. I love him. XD But I'm missing Bruce, even though I haven't read about it yet. Still, just knowing is enough. |

Oh no. They've been married in the comics a long time. Over a decade, our time. Superman has left Earth before, but he always comes back and Lois almost always knows about it.
Hahaha. Yeah, I'm finding myself more interested in Superman lately. I blame Geoff Johns. He's one of my favorite writers and he's been on Superman until just recently. Leave it to him to interest me in a character I've never really given a chance before.
Damian gets all sorts of great lines, from what I've seen. He's gonna work out as Robin after all; I can just see it. Writers other than Morrison seem to be getting the hang of writing him too. Since he's become Robin he's been getting far more likable, even under other writers. |

Good! I was worried for a moment there. Like I've said before, I was a Superman fan long before I was a Batman fan, which is an interesting turn if you think about it. So I guess it would be safe to say that Supes and Lois was my first ship ever. It's great to hear they've been doing good. <3 So where exactly do people come off with putting Supes with WW? It's from that All-Star series, isn't it? That's where I read somewhere that something was up between those two. ![]()
Haha! Not surprising. Johns' an awesome writer. I'm pretty sure once I become a little more versed in comics that he'll be one of my favorites also. Along with, of course, Grant Morrison.
Can't forget when he totally slammed Dick about his old Robin outfit and whatnot. This was mentioned before somewhere, I can't remember, but it's funny how the dynamics of the roles have switched. Dick is a much lighter Batman, and Robin is the dark, intimdating one. Damian really is his father's son.
That's good. Hopefully they do research, which is what any new writer should do to get characters down. Unlike the latest Titans issue. The one with Kung Fu Raven. Seriously. Even I was like O_o wtf? |

It comes from some Elseworld tales. Kingdom Come, for example, has Wonder Woman help Superman come to his senses and go back to saving the world years after Lois is killed by Joker. Superman is also paired with Wonder Woman in Frank Millers Dark Knight universe; where you'll see that is All Star Batman & Robin and The Dark Knight Strikes Back. Other than that there's no bearing. All Star Superman, on the other hand, was written by Grant Morrison. No Wonder Woman within ten feet. It's largely regarded as a definitive Superman story on top of that.
Yup, he certainly is. He's such a little bastard sometimes. Irregardless, I love having him around in the Bat books.
Yeah, that was definitely some major WTFery going on there. You'd think Raven trained under Batman or something. No way would she be able to pull all of those moves. |

Besides, WW is more into "darkier" men. ![]()
He's one of those little pricks you come to love. Seriously, if he really is walking in Dick's shoes and ends up workin in the TT, I'm gonna laugh so hard, especially if he joins while Gar is still leader. As for JLA, I think Supes would be the only one to come back, Earth is basically is main priority. With Bruce and Diana, they seem to set themselves more on there "home" matters, mainly Bruce. I'm thinkin that since Dick and Donna have everything covered with JLA, Bruce can have full concentration on Gotham (which seems to be his main priority) and Diana would be take her mother's place as Queen of Themyscira. |

Omg, I think I would die lawling. Seriously. Damian would probably throw something just short of a b!tchfit. Even with Bruce and Diana on their home fronts, it would be really cool if they ever made some special appearences. Like as major backup when things get really bad. Like, the end of the world. Again. But worse this time. Something like that. Because, when it got right down to it, Bruce and Diana wouldn't leave the JL hanging by a thin thread if they needed help. And it would make their appearences special, as it should be, imo. |

Hey Ghetto, who's that image by? I like it.
I would f***ing LOVE IT if Damian joined the Titans. Especially if the book had a writer who understood the character. I'm normally one who likes the idea of keeping spawns out of the Titans as much as possible, but Damian I could make an exception for. I could see him grating on everyone and then slowly becoming a part of the team. It would be a great way to have him grow even more as a character.
I think that's what's going to end up happening. This is a pretty heavy push for the "next generation" of the League. It's probably for the best as well, as the "big guns" concept had worn itself out by the end. It's best to shelve it until someone like Grant comes along with a fresh take on it. I kind of like it that way. Keeps their appearances in the League special. Something I thought might happen: when Bruce returns, I'm wondering if we're going to have two Batmen. I could see Bruce allowing Dick to share the name and take his position on the League while he tends to Gotham. One of them would probably end up revising their costume; for instance, I could see Bruce taking on an outfit that looks something more akin to the Batman Beyond suit, only with a cape. It's not that far out there; after all, we have more than one Flash running around. |
