Hey one's blotted out! Mystery time! Which Titan could it be? With so many dead its hard to tell.

Hmm, this is kinda DC admiting "Yes we've killed lots of people who were on this team. We know a lot of them were needless, but hey here they are as zombies and they're totally bad ass and going to give you more of the teen drama you want out of this book. Please forgive us for killing them now."

Oh so thats our dead Titan huh?

Crap... that has to suck. I mean you finally drop the Aqualad title, get a badass name like Tempest, start taking responsibility and more power since your father figure died... and then you get killed off.

Seriously... he's gotta be pissed.

It explains why the Titans issue he starred in felt so ominous. It was intended to. When you look back at it, it seems so obvious that he was being set up for the fall.

I think the Aquaman sides of things are really being cleaned out for a revamp of sorts. the new Aquaman left, Tempest is dead and Atlantis is in shambles. This seems like a lot of slate cleaning.

Either way, this explains what Tempests role in Blackest Night and Blackest Night: Titans is going to be.

Whoa, where was I when that happened? That's gotta be the short reign in Atlantis in DC history.

Looks like BL Terra's taken another Titans swing, or another one at Gar if he's still on the team.

I'm not sure but that could be Terra II, she was more connected to the Teen Titans then she was to the original NTT team. Afterall Gar rejected her remember?

It happened in Blackest Night #2, released this week.

Ok, so we have Phantasm (who is kinda like several zomibies in one if you think about it) Pantha, Kole (I think), Terra, (possibly) Tempest/Aquaman, Hawk and Baby Wildebeest...

You know, it's funny how BB and Rae first became official after an attack from a group of ressurected team mates. Also, wether it's announced by this point or not if they will stay indefinately, our favorite couple will most likely be in this issue tying up whatever happens in the book before to draw them back to the teen team...

That's probably not the actual Phantasm. Chances are very good that it's actually Danny Chases body taking on the role as Black Lantern Phantasm. The real Phantasm was basically a merging of a lot of souls into one.

Phantasm, far as we know, is still out there.

Oh, and look close; that's definitely Terra. She's sitting on a rock.

I know it's Terra. If you look at where my commas were placed, you'l see that the "(I think)" was in reference to Kole and the "(possibly)" was talking about Tempest/Aquaman.

Oh. I read it wrong then. Sorry.

Yeah, that's definitely Kole front and center. When you look real close, you can see the character resembles her enough to remove most doubt. The shadowed out character is definitely Tempest. He was killed in Blackest Night #2.

I daresay he's the first real casualty of note in the event. Yeah, the Hawks were wasted, but resurrection is basically built into their character. Aside from the requisite redshirts, he's the first real loss in regards to the heroes.

I think this Phantasm is Danny Chase, before the whole Azarath incident and back when he was nothing but a dick. I'm not sure how the "merged souls of Azarath to create some kinda entity" coming back as a single BL would work out in this sitch. For one, if all those souls came back as BL's, wouldn't they have back with they're original bodies?

It has to be Danny Chase pre-souls of Azarath. The bodies come back. Not souls. The souls have nothing to do with it. If it was the Phantasm that simply dropped off the face of the Earth a while back, that would bring about a lot of major issues in regards to the Black Lanterns and what's been established; I don't think Geoff would let such a screw-up occur.

Well, that being said, Gar's probably gonna have two BL's on his ass. From what I remember, outta everyone, Danny had a real bad relationship with Gar the most.
