Gar knows how to make an entrance, doesn't he. Attitude/pose kinda reminds me of the roachs in Joe's Apartment.
Don't chimeras usually have three heads or less??? |

It isn't a chimera! Chimera are only lions with goat and snake parts on them. This is some kind of ultra messed up spawn of all things unholy. Typical of the messes Raven gets stuck in. |

Well, it's got tiger, ox, and lizard parts......that's kinda like having lion, goat, and snake parts. XP Ah, who cares, chimeras have been knock around so many times in fiction n'entertainment, they've adopted a lot of different looks, some of them not relating to there original Greek selves. I must say that the finishing touches really clean up on the cover. Hopefully works out the same for #76 and makes up for "Gar Lennon". |

I don't care what it is as long as Gar saves Raven from it.
He does. The cockroach entrance feels more like a Gar move than most we've seen in all of Titans life. And it was amusing. An added bonus! |

That things boney, pale tail made me think of White Martian tails. But maybe that just came to mind because Raven mentioned that it was an empath that called her over. Maybe it's M'gann's future self acting out again? Or perhaps a freaky return of the Zookeeper, with altered powers and seeking revenge on Gar? But, the terribly redundant heads made me think Biblical stuff. I'm no theologian, but I think there was something about a Leopard with 7 heads. No kidding. The old coloring hurt to look at. |

I'm not sure it could be White Martians. I know M'gann is one, but her future self is trapped in her body and M'gann is back with the rest of the team. Other than her, I can't think of how it could be a White Martian; most of them were wiped out back in Joe Kelly's final JLA arc, Trial by Fire. But then again, M'gann is around, so I suppose it's not all that out there to think there might have been one or two others who may have escaped the wrath of the Burning Martian.
Sadly, I think Zookeeper has been more or less forgotten by now. He was used in his debut arc and then with the exception of his appearance in the prison breakout during Infinite Crisis simply vanished from comics. I don't think Geoff used him enough to solidify him as a villain others might want to use.
Well, it was an unfinished cover. Usually if a cover isn't complete in time for solicits they just shove what is done up. If all they have by then is inks, they'll put up the inked cover. |

Well, I remember that when J'onn was first teleported to earth he was clutching the dead body of his daughter. The scientist who had accidentally brought him to earth buried the body, but when J'onn regained his conciousness, it was revealed that the other body was really a part of his body he had fashioned to resemble his daughter in his grief. If Martians are able to seperate their body, then I imagine a martian housing two minds could create a body for the extra mind. In this case I wouldn't be surprised if her future self was using whatever influence to keep M'gann from realising that she was building herself a new body. But it's probably something else. Anyway, the preview on the DC site has two more pages. You know how Gar looks on the cover of 76? Well he isn't mid transformation. Apparently, in this series he is going to retain clawed nails on his hands and feet in his human form. Also shaggy arm hair and the sideburns are back. I'm sure it's an unpopular opinion, but I like the change. |

I think Jaime's being a bit unfair there. I mean his sorta kinda girlfriend is in a coma. I don't think anyone would be complaining if he was doing the same thing Gar was if Traci was hurt that bad. Just saying, we love ya Blue, but no need to harsh on Greenster. |

Ya know Jamie, if your hormones weren't busy jumping between Traci and AquaGirl, you'd understand. I got mixed feelings with this issue. But most of them are good. First, there's how the team views Gar as Leader, calling him clown and not taking him seriously. On the other hand, Cassie and M'gann show great respect for him. Second, hell yeah with Gar confessing to Raven that he still has feelings for her, no matter what their difficulties are. Now we just need Raven's viewpoint. Third, sigh...Bombshell. Seriously, I like a gal with attitude, but when that said attitude pretty much just makes her in to an all around b*tch, then she's asking to be kicked out. Above all, I like how Gar is turning out in this series.
I say keep them. This new feral look suits him. Now if they'd only do something about his hair. At least give'm a buzz cut or something |
