Though I'm kinda surprised everyones still here. With all the soap operas and JLA transfers, I thought we'd be up to just a few Titans.

I'm betting the writer didn't bother to do his research or pay attention to any of the other scripts. It was suggested that Donna wasn't even there anymore, much less Roy or Wally. Starfires issue just outright suggested half the team was gone and that Gar was pissed about something.

The coordination on this series is frankly just sad.

I don't think the AS has anything to do with this sitch.

Raven is written by a lot of people as a total douche. Tell me where that came from? It certainly wasn't the old comics.

I think she's just annoyed that Gar's still in denial.

Denial nothing. She thinks he's making it harder than the breakup has to be. Remember her lines from #11 how it was hard for both of them?

Either way, it's still annoying how standoffish she's been written of lately.

Thanks Animated Series writers.

I was under the impression that she was being very rude to try and further push him away (her method, something I feel she might beat herself up for later). Just my thought. We'll have to wait and see for her insight on it.

Also the whole Terra thing, while Vic has implied it, we have yet to see Gar's perspective on it. I can imagine him not having let go of the past yet, but I just don't feel he would actually do that to Raven, have her as a replacement that is.

The notion is really stupid and shows a lack of research on the writers part. Raven was the one who pursued him. There was no replacing going on.

Exactly!

Ya know just taking a look at those preview pages again, something just feels so wrong to me. Said something obviously being the writers.

Did I mention I do not like the art?

Is it just me or does Starfire seem to have a big chin in the first page? And why do Roy and Wally all of the sudden look like twins? o.o

Ok, allthough I won't say that all of this is out of character for our titans (given the right circumstances) however, I just don't see where all this drama came from since Deathtrap...

Also whats with everyone always pinning Gar's jokes and light attitude as just an act. I mean back in his confrontation with the zookeeper he even said that it isn't an act. Yes he does have some **** in his past, but he doesn't cover it with humor. He jokes around because thats how he likes to be. It just annoys me when every heroic character who tries to be funny is put into that Pagliacci (I'm sure I spelled that wrong) stereotype.

well this doesn't worry me too much. It still seems like bb and raven are going to be on the teen team, and I don't see them both choosing to go to a new team, and have it be the same one if they are still going to have this antagonistic relationship. Where that the case I imagine one would step down and pick a new team or just drop out for a while.

And am I the only one hoping that Gar will turn into a panda? he did it a couple time in the show, but I don't think he's ever been one in the comics...

Also, is it just me, or is Kory enjoying that sausage just a bit too much in the first page. Can't help but notice that she is wearing a batman shirt while partaking of the sausage...

Good, I'm glad that I'm not the only one who's mind went there.

You know, as of late I buy one comic book a month. That book was Titans, but as things are certainly going to change in this book I might not do that anymore. And if the two characters I care most about do move to the other team, but that book isn't any better, I might not be buying any issues on a monthly basis.

Oh well, come November Marvel is giving my favorite couple in their universe their own ongoing series. S.W.O.R.D #1 hopefully that will be enough to quell my inner shipper...

DeTroyes already reported this on RBSU, but since he's not here..

This is appeared on the DC blog "DC Universe: The Source"

Hiya, folks! As the TITANS editor, I wanted to do something a little different to hype issue #17, in comic stores September 9. My first call for ideas was the issue’s writer.

“My first plot had me making out with Starfire for 22 pages,” he said. “But that got shot down for whatever reason.”

The guest writer? Pat McCallum, fresh off his stint of stalking DC editors looking for work.

So what plot was approved for the issue? “The comic book debut of a villain whose only ever appeared in the animated DC universe, some Golden Age Green Lantern cosplay and the…[dramatic pause]…DARK SECRET behind why Beast Boy can’t go by ‘Changeling’ anymore.”

Pressed for more, McCallum provided the below list, adding, “Everything here happens in the issue—really—except one. A free signed copy of Team Titans #1 to whoever spots it.”*

2 Obscure Easter Eggs that only guys like Kurt Busiek will pick up on.

3 Appearances of Beast Boy’s Pérez-era haircut.

9 Panels with Dr. Double-X

300 Pounds of masked pro wrestler hungry for egg salad

800 How many feet a disembodied head is punted

1 billion Copies sold. Beat THAT, zombie Green Lanterns!

* Offer not valid anywhere. So enjoy pages 1-5 of TITANS #17 instead.

I think I will join in with everyone here when I post this response.

This is just great isn't, so they've essentially said "***** it, write whatever cause they're gonna hate it!"

I'd prefer they delay the book until next week honestly and fix it. But no, we get this crap.

I'm gonna go stick my head in a toilet and give myself a swirly, that will be far more enjoyable then this.

Anybody else catch the numerous references to Pantha? Wrestler (animated series). Disembodied head sent sailing (Infinite Crisis death of Pantha). Pliskin thinks this is pointing right towards the animated series Pantha coming to the comics.

At which point I think I would just slam my head against the wall and pretend this issue did not exist.

I doubt its Pantha, one she's not a villain and two she's appeared in the comics, not just the Animated series. Its probably some stupid wrestler character from the main DCAU... not that I'm aware of any.

It didn't say the wrestler was the villain. It just said an animation only villain would debut. Big difference.

Then it mentioned beefy wrestlers and disembodied heads.

There aren't exactly many characters that fit that description in DC animation. Just the AS Pantha (whom's comic counterpart was beheaded) and Wildcat. And Wildcat is not animation exclusive.

So unless they're going back to some character I've never heard of from the Superfriends days Pantha seems the only real option for beefy wrestler.

We'll know in a week I suppose; not that I'm waiting with bated breath or anything, because I'm getting a "craptastic" vibe off of this.

The art! The art! Arghhh! When did Donna start showing her thong/panties? And Kory looks like a man in the first panel.

I think that Raven has lost her so-called 'unique' personality when she started wearing those kind of clothes. It just seems... wrong.

I didn't expect the preview to be up this early, but I don't like where this is going.

We don't know anything for sure, but whispers about suggest Beast Boy and Raven are moving to the teen team.

Well, at least they're gonna be moving to the same team sooner or later. That means this preview is just a false dawn, right? D=

It's a bunch of fill-in work. To be honest, little of it makes a difference. I wouldn't be too surprised if DC ends up trying to pretend this entire series didn't happen up until the new writer takes over. It's pretty much been a disaster with the exception of four issues.

This is a guest written issue. The fact that half the characters don't even sound like themselves should surprise no one. You'd think someone who was coming on a team would at least do a little freaking research.

Well Tempest's from the description didn't seem bad. Morbid considering what was going to happen, but whatever.

I just want to get past this, get it over with, drop it, as soon as possible. Lets hope Raven's issue flies by and we no longer have to worry about this crap. Is it the same guest writer for Raven's issue too?
