I've always felt that when it came to the names for the future selves in that story that Geoff was basically just pulling them out of his ass at that point. Raven and Gar are pretty tough to figure out a legacy name to attach to them for such purposes. Animal Man was probably the only one that made sense at the time; he obviously couldn't even figure one out for Raven, considering she was just called "Dark Raven" in that alternate future.
Eh, none taken. Buddy can be a hard character to get into for the reasons that he's generally not someone you see a lot of. The last time he had a solo was when Grant Morrison revitilized the character; which was, without a doubt, a classic run. Other than that he really doesn't show up much. His powers aren't overly interesting, but that's not what really draws to him. He's just a generally cool character in general and a family man first and foremost. Plus, he breaks the fourth wall; that s*** is always cool.
To be blunt, I'm not even sure another Doom Patrol book is even a good idea anymore. Ever since Grant Morrison left it's been one failed revamp after another. When John Byrne brought back the original members for his abysmal run, I kind of just slapped my head. The main issue with the Doom Patrol these days is that they really don't have much of a place these days in or out of the DC universe. Much of the conceit of the team revolves around them being freaks of nature that are outcasts of society. The last time that really worked was Morrisons run. That's really the problem with the classic lineup. They barely qualified as "freaks" during the original run of the team. Now they don't even come close. There are so many heroes with far freakier powers that they seem mundane and the mission statement doesn't really work. Sure, you can have them take on oddball threats, of course, but you're still losing something. I'm surprised the new Doom Patrol is even happening; if this one fails too, however, I'm not going to be surprised if DC simply gives up on the team for a good, long while.
Well, Wolverine is their most popular characters, if not THE most popular, so I've learned to let that go. I kind of liken him to Marvel's own Batman. Honestly, he's one of the few characters Marvel has that is as versatile as many of DC's. I do agree that they need to start cutting back on his appearances though. Once Marvel realized what a smash he was they went completely overboard. It's pretty much been that way ever since. |

Ok, deduction and speculation time... This solicit says that Gar is tired of how his team views him. He got a chip on his shoulder. It also says that he plans to do something that will change that, "shockingly" We also know from the #18 solicit that the team is on the verge of spliting up. Lastly add to the mix that we know BB will show up (at least for one issue) with the Teen Titans... Prediction: Feeling underappreciated, unuseful and pigeon-holed as the immature one of the group, Gar decides to check in on the younger team in hopes of meshing better with others of his maturity level. Once there, he finds them in trouble of falling apart themselves. With his intervention, the team pulls through and Gar not only realizes his own real level of maturity, but also finds fullfillment in all the earlier mentioned areas which he lacked with the other team. At the end of all this, Gar arises as the new team leader of the Teen Titans. More speculation... The #18 solicit mentions that Raven makes a desicion that will affect (not mention as being positive nor negative) her relationship with Gar. We also know that on Raven also visits the young team along with Gar... Prediction pt 2: Raven chooses to rejoin The Teen Titans along with Gar, affecting their relationship at the very least by letting it continue (but most likely implying a reconciliation between the two) All speculation, and most likely heavily biased by my hopes, but I like to think that it at least makes sense weather it happens that way or not... |

That's a very plausible idea for what might happen. Gar decides to help the Teen team and Raven's decision that might alter her relationship with him is to follow. I like it. What will actually happen remains to be seen though. Hopefully you're not too far off track. |

A guy can hope. I'd like to imagine that this is DC making up for stealing our opportunity at seeing both BB in command and see BB and Rae together. It would be like picking up where OYL left off. |

H-uh. With this issue, I might just start picking up this title again. It'll be nice to have more than just Wade in my comic selection. |

This looks to be the issue where Gar decides to leave the Titans and head for the Teen team. The issue that released today showed him looking at a screen of the Teen team. It's been suspected but not confirmed that he'd be jumping to the teen team; evidence is suggesting more and more that's where things are going. Raven's already moving there too, so all seems well. |

Well, Titans looks like it will be interesting in the future too though. Deathstroke is supposed to be leading. We're probably going to get an entirely new roster to go with his leadership. |

If all is according to our theories, and it seems to be so far, this looks like the starting point to a major transformation in the DC Universe. So far we've guessed that Gar and Rae are gonna be the headmaster and headmistress for the TT, Dick, Donna, and Mon-El are gonna be the new "Big Three" of the league, Vic and Kory are headin in the League as well. So far, we've got Dick running around in Bruce's kevlar, the said suggesting evidence towards Gar, and Kory's off to the Justice league (I think). So far, I think we're getting what we've been asking for.
Interesting twist, though some part of me thinks that if it's an all-around new roster, it'd probably gonna consist of mishaps or retired villains wanting redemption...which is kinda cool now that I think of it. |

It's certainly a big change for the Titans universe. In #16, Kory was asked to join the League, but she mused that she wasn't sure she was ready to be part of a team right now. I think that's significant. Would they be mentioning Justice League and her if they weren't looking to put her down that road? As dismayed as I am to see the roster this book started with drifting to their separate ways, it may well be for the best. Donna, Dick and Starfire moving up to the League? Possibly Vic too? Gar and Rae the backbone of the Teen Titans? That's some interesting stuff right there. Besides, I think it's about time some Titans moved to the big time.
It might well be. I'm thinking perhaps the new Tattooed Man may be a part of it. The creative team for his mini is on board after all. I suppose we'll know soon enough. Either way, I think the Titans sect are headed for interesting times. |

I don't get it, aren't Clark and Donna still around? Why do they need replacements? Are they just not in the league anymore? |

Clark is currently off on New Krypton. The Super Family is keeping Metropolis in one piece in his stead. So he's kind of out of action. Diana's also busy with her own stuff; between Genocide, Themyscira filled with pregnant women and Diana renouncing the gods, she's kind of got her plate full. Both left the League. So if you can't get the real Big Three, why not get the next best thing, eh? |

No problem. There's a lot of interesting stuff going on in the DCU all at once. Hence why it's not easy to miss that Clark and Diana aren't all that active in the grand scheme of things. |

Yup I think we can expect BB leading the Teen Titans pretty soon. I'd say "just on the team" but I really can't seem him following under Wonder Girl... |
