Something must have messed up in your tags Zenny; I don't see any of the images.

Alright-ee then let's try this one more time:
EDIT: Goddamn spoiler tags! Never work when they should, updated last post with them instead, they should stick this time.

This seems kinda outta the pot line for Gar. If anyone read #14 on Vic's spotlight, it shows Gar has somewhat gotten over Raven dumping him and is now on an online dating service.

The dating site means absolutely nothing. His line about empaths in #14 is proof enough that he's still licking his wounds. If anything he joined a site more a a way of going through the motins, or more likely something to point at when others ask how he's moving on. Or maybe even a jab at Raven hoping to instill some jealousy.

This story will be good because we'll get to see Gar away from the people that he puts up a front. Even around Vic he doesn't let out completely. Not so much that he's ashamed of his feelings, but more that he takes as his responsibility to keep the others around him happy. Gar realizes that when people are down, they won't trust some sadder than them to cheer them up. So he pretends to be in a good mood (weather it true or not) so that the people he cares about will come to him for help. It not an uncommon complex really.

Anyway, round about point is, when he's not around them, he won't feel the need to help them, therefore won't need to hide. It will be good to see his unabridged feelings

Zen, those are hillarious. Wouldn't call them spoilers, but great none the less. However I think the first one would read better as simply "Green: it ain't easy". But good call on that, I always wanted the titans to go to a Kareoke bar so Gar could turn into a frog and sing that song.

And Crazy 18, great job as well. I think if you didn't point out the miss-proportions, most people wouldn't notice it. Particularly since the picture is drawn in forced percption to make it appear at an angle.

"What he plans on doing will shock you"

Yeah, I highly doubt that.

My guess he strips down and goes for a run. That would be expected.

It's a solicit. Of course something like "it will shock you" is going to show up. That's just how those things are written.

Which is why I highly doubt it will really shock me, especially considering these "Day in the life" stories are pretty much singular spotlights on each of the characters. I'm not counting on anything super insanely life changing is going to happen in any of these stories. They just look like fun reads, nothing more.

Shocking or not, it's nice to something Titan or Gar-related that doesn't involve BL's or resurrections.

I wonder if DC is thinking about changing Gar's code name. I started wondering this when I saw solicits for the "Last days of Animal Man"

I don't really want them to, but I guess it might make sense. Particullarly since Eddie dropped the "kid" part of his name in favor for "Red" and he's even younger than Gar.

Also, what does everyone else think will be the effect of the new Doom Patrol title on this title and Gar over all? I'm hoping nothing more than him being referenced once or twice and maybe a cameo.

The Last Days of Animal Man takes place in the future bro. Buddy's not going anywhere. Thank goodness for small favors.

Besides, taking on the Animal Man name is not a good idea for Gar. It's a terrible idea. Beast Boy is seen as a B to C lister as it is. As awesome as Buddy is, he's probably somewhere in the W's. It'd be a step back for him.

Absolutely nothing. Doom Patrol uses the original cast. Kieth Giffen has already stated he has no plans to really sue any of the others for anything but a brief cameo.

Man, they are so adorable. ^__^ What I would give to know more of what happened during that missing year. <3

Oh yes, the two are unquestionably adorable together. <3

Maybe someday we'll get an issue or mini or something where some of the missing year is filled in. I'd love something like that.

This looks like it could develop into a pretty good story. Again, as always, many thanks to the comic fans for keeping thos of us without much access to the current comics updated. Can't wait to see how this one develops.

And Zen, those pictures are awesome! First and last ones are the best!

First off, let me state that I wasn't hoping Gar would take on the name "Animal Man". Truth be told when I read that's what his "future self" did I felt it was a bit phoned in. If he changed his handle at all, I would hope he goes with "Menagerie" like he had in Kingdom Come.

However, then they might change his powers to match, which I really don't want...

Not too sure how happy I am that The "last days" story is in the future... I don't care much for Buddy or how his powers work... No offense dl.

But I'm glad the DP book will stay close to just the core characters. I always liked that teams combination. But mostly I'm just glad none of our outside characters like BB will get muddeled up by being in too many stories with too many writers.

How many Wolverine situation mad absolutely no sense because Marvel insisted on including him in nearly every book they had running? Too many chefs spoil the soup...
