I was just about to post that.

I'm a little annoyed Gar is back in "Terra could have reformed" mode. I thought we'd moved past that by now. But then, maybe this is some sort of damage control; as in trying to forget the crap Brad Meltzer tried to shovel.

He'll change his mind once Terra starts trying to kill everyone in sight and laughs while she does it. Or they'll bring up the whole "She was evil get over it" thing again

Ugh, just when you thought the cover couldn't be any more disgusting, they add on more details. Although I am lovin Ed Benes work on the TItans, Gar actually looks more mature then he has in previous issues.

I'm pretty sure one look at her decaying face will change his mind in a second. Plus, it seems like he's not alone on the whole "reform" thing. Donna looks like she wants her son back, evil or not. Cassie's all about Conner being back, and I'm pretty sure that issue is not gonna end well.

I'm hoping Ed Benes will become the regular artist of one of the Titan titles. To be honest, this is some of the most pleasing work - for me anyways - since Tony left Teen Titans with the conclusion of Titans East and Julian Lopez's fill in work on Titans wrapped. I'd like having Ed Benes on a Titans title.

So Rose is resorting to prostitution. Poor girl...

I don't think she's selling herself. Donna's naration relatates directly to the scenes we see while she's talking. She mentions those who focus on the one's responsible and we see Slade having just killed a hive underling. She mentions those who linger on the past and we see Red Star getting blotto next to a picture of his dead family. Then she talks about people who avoid and deny the past and we see Rose brushing a guy out after finishing with him...

Yes, this could be a prostitute kicking out her John after the "trasnsaction" is complete, but in context to the narration, I think it's something else. I imagine it's more along the lines that Rose is escaping her real emotions by distracting herself with less "complicated" ones. To me, I look at this scene and see a girl who just wants a quick endorphine high and doesn't want to deal with the guy once he's served his purpose.

Also Rose is too proud to let herslef be used. Even though she's a good guy, I think it's more incharacter for her to steal in moments of financial need rather than sell herself.

But prostitution or not, I really hope she's not the pregnant sillouette from Omens and Origins...

Also, I'd like to point out that I totally called the situation regarding Don not being around. Go ahead and search through the forum to see, totally called it.

We're done, you have three minutes to leave before I cut it off

Theres a guy pulling his pants up, they're in a hotel room, she's in skimpy clothing. I may like Rose, but the language she uses speaks for itself. She's selling herself for money.

We may never know. Back when we saw that Origins and Omens, I believe Sean McKeever was still on the book. That was probably one of his plot points that may have been dropped when he left the main feature of Teen Titans.

It surprised me. But I suppose it makes sense. Dove is all about peace and balance. Something like the black rings might not be able to penetrate the Lord of Order's minion. Chaos? Not so much, which would explain why Hawk rose.

We may not know more of why until we get deeper into Blackest Night. Geoff said that it speaks more to Don Hall than the rings; that his body can't be corrupted by something like this. Still, we don't know a lot of things about the rings and their effects.

Time will tell I guess, but good looking man; you did indeed call it.

Not necessarily. That is indeed one way to look at it, but some of the more aggressive women might tell you to get the hell out and leave them alone after sex. Something in the vein of "when my cigarette goes out, you should too". Also, isn't she addicted to adrenaline? Sex is a pretty good way to get that up.

It's possible it's prostitution, but I'm not jumping the gun. It seems left up to interpretation, really.

Fine, I suppose there are other ways to interpret it. I just see it more along lines of this then anything else really.

Admit it; you just want it to be prostitution so you can imagine yourself purchasing her services. =P

Oh I can do that any time I want. I just have to imagine myself as Tim when Rose showed up naked and actually give in to her advances.

Hmm, makes you wonder what the going rate on meta-prostitutes would be. I bet preconitive abilities would make for an interesting encounter...

JT Krul talks "Blackest Night: Titans"

http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=22679

The whole thing sounds bitchin', but I really hope that this is the last hurrah for the Terra business. Despite looking forward to this, I've been having a hard time really caring for the prospect of "Gar denies what Terra was and has to learn the hard way again".

Well, just got the issue, and it kinda does go into what JT Kurl said. Gar knows and acknowledges the truth about Terra, but that just makes it worst on him. I'll see if I can get some scans later, but for now.

What did you think of the issue? I've been having high hopes for JT Krul. Be honest; if you think it's no good, say so.

Well, I'd have to wait for the next issue to give my fullest consent. This is just an introduction issue, I'd like to see what actually happens to the Titans, before I make the mistake of pinning him as the perfect writer, only to find out that either he kills my favorite characters or makes a pretty stupid plot twist in the next issue. But I do admit, I like how he's running things so far. If I where to compare JT's methods to other writers, I'd say his way of writing is somewhat like Sean Mckeever's way of presenting a story line, but has a reasonable creativity and "easy to readness" that's similar to either Geoff John or Marc Guggenheim.

All in all, I give this guy a thumbs up.
