Sweet, eh? Personaly, I think if any other anime is to be made into a movie, CGI animation is the way to go. |

They even gave him a shirt, about time. By the way Ghetto I agree, and not just with the anime either. Video Game movies seem to be decisely better if they're animated instead of live action. From now on I think I'll prefer animated video game movies and CGI anime adaptations to live action unless something changes my mind soon. |

I wholly agree with you guys. Thus far, most of the attempted anime-to-real-life-movies transitions have not gone well. *coughDragonballZcough* I think we are better off with CGI. And yay, good to see the return of our beloved Atom to the world of contemporary entertainment. |

Just to put my two cents in, it doesn't matter whether it's CGI or live action. That doesn't affect the quality of the film. If the project has a garbage script, stupid director and bad actors attached to it, it's going to be terrible whether it's with real people or computer generated. |

True, but at least it looks better and not... well... you know...![]() I thought the whole point of Roshi was that he looked really old but he was actually pretty damn strong. He's more middle age then real old. He better have a turtle, I may not be a fan of the series but I sure as hell know he has a damn turtle. |

I doubt it. I think the only characteristic Chou Young Fat here will have with Roshi is that he's a perverted old fart. Anyway, DL's two cents make sense, I just got carried away with the CGI in this film and how the characters look. Dr.Tenma and Pro. Ochanomizu look great, but voiced by Nicolas Cage, I don't know .

To be frank, I don't think Chou Young Fat is a bad choice, its just he doesn't look enough like Roshi. A bit of makeup, fake beard, sunglasses I'd probably accept him. Can't be any worse then... not green Piccolo. |

I was really relieved when I heard the Astro Boy movie was going to be CGI. I knew that if it was gonna be a live action movie...it just wouldnt work, simple as that. I too perfer CGI and animated films when it comes to making anime and video game film adaptions. I guess for some cases...perhaps it's alright, but majority of the time, it's CGI/animated for me. Anyways, looking forward to the Astro Boy movie =] |
