Yeah, in a comic issue over two years ago. Xipz just posted the page in particular.

Oh, that one. I thought you guys were talking about in Titans #11. Darn. Sorry for my stupidity. :P

It's not stupidity. It's cool. Not everyone has the time to keep up with stuff like this; which is why guys like me are around to keep people up to date.

If you want a general recap of what's happened since the kiss, the comic map is on the main site. I keep it updated. I am waiting for something significant before I update it though. That and there aren't any scans of the relevant stuff from #11 floating around to use right now.

By the way, stick around. The more of us around, the better. We'd be glad to have you as a bigger part of the community.

Thanks for keeping everything updated! I don't read the comics, so it's nice to be able to just read the stuff that happens between Gar and Rae. I check in every now and then to see if there's anything new with the comics, so I plan on sticking around. I just don't post much. :)

It was this issue, Titans #11. Raven said they weren't really together and she only kissed him because he needed support or some crap like that. But there were a lot of hinty stuff. Romeo and Juliet allusions, for one thing, and the general feeling that Raven is pushing him away to try and protect him.

In general, she basically dumped him because of her low self esteem, thinking she's a danger. Pretty much dumped him BECAUSE she cares about him.

No scan's yet. I think my friend I asked for the scans forgot about them. I'll message them again.

Scans, ahoy!

Spoiler: click to toggle

I really don't think anyone (including the writers) knows solidly what happened between them during the OYL gap. =/ Who thought skipping a year was a good idea? Just made everything rather messy.

Kryptocow saves the day!

Thanks much, Krypto. Saves me a lot of trouble. ^^

The OYL jump was an interesting idea, but I think what ended up happening was it ended up being poorly hashed out. We were supposed to get a bunch of stuff in 52 that just ended up never happening. What occurred was things ended up shifting and the series started becoming more about the running plots they had going; they had to commission the World War III miniseries just to get the events leading into OYL in continuity before 52 ended.

Remember that when 52 was first on the horizon and being planned out, Geoff made a lot of statements in regards to the Titans, saying that they would show up now and then, among other things. When the series finally came, everything sort of shifted and eventually a lot of things talked about didn't crop up.

Things just seemed to spiral out of control and OYL ended up a bit of a mess for it. Some series benefitted from the jump, however. Checkmate managed to start right in the midst of the political thriller action thanks to skipping all the boring stuff. We managed to skip a lot of the Green Lantern Corps recruiting and rebuilding. So it wasn't a total bust, storywise.

Some series just suffered for it. Interesting idea; haphazard execution.

Anyways, on the breakup, we all know this ain't the end. The relationship, both happy and strained, has been a focus of the series ever since it lost it's way and didn't have any idea where it was going otherwise. I think much of the drama is partly here to kill time until the new team shifts hit.

Unrelated note: Haha giant spider transformation. Beast Boy; all the powers of the animal kingdom, none of the respect.

Well, he first became Blue Beetle in Infinite Crisis, so I don't know about that. Actually, I think Blue Beetle was one of those series hurt by the jump. They were going to start a new series with a new Blue Beetle, but he was introduced in Infinite Crisis; therefore, he somehow had to be taken off the board for a year in universe time. The first issue of the first arc didn't really read well because of the attempts to make sense of that.

Meh, OYL wasn't a very good idea in the end. Lets just leave it at that.

Still, it wasn't all bad. Even though 52 didn't answer all our questions it filled in enough holes to make educated guesses. Terra and Young Frankenstein's deaths in WWIII must've shooken up Gar badly, so much so that he both couldn't lead the Titans effectively, it strained his relationship with Raven and eventually had him leave to join the Doom Patrol again.

Thats the best theory I got.

Of course we never really got to see BB/Rae moments as the relationship was on going. (Sigh) Thats what you get when you're dealing with a universe wide crossover series that spans so many characters. Its virtually impossible to properly give everyone the time of day. Someone will get left out.

I'm thinking of reading 52, from what I hear it was a very good storyline in and of itself as it gave a lot of small time characters the chance to shine. Plus Grant Morisson got to morph Skeets into a giant space bug.

Can't go wrong with weird ass stuff from Grant right? Help me out here Dl, as a comic is 52 worth it? Ignore the inner shipper for a moment.

Very much so. It's a pretty awesome series. It may not have ended up how it was intended, but it was arguably a better story because of that.

Plus, Grant Morrison writes the Space Team segments, consisting of Starfire, Adam Strange and the character he helped define, Animal Man. Plus he has Lobo, the most violent character in DC, find religion, rip Starfire's shirt off to look at her jugs and eventually give up the religious ways because it sucks. Lobo as the spiritual leader for an entire sector of space. How could that NOT be awesome?

Oh, and the other storylines kick ass too, I guess.

Just so long as Lobo got a smack in the jaw for that I'm good.

I heard he was worshipping some space dolphin. Yeah, that sounded like Morrison's work to me.

Punch Lobo? Do you think she has a death wish? This is Lobo we're talking about here. Besides, he wanted a look at her hooters in return for his help. So as I recall, they let it slide.

And yes, Lobo worshipping a Space Dolphin. Definitely Morrison. It's so twisted.

Letting it slide, but then there's the Tamaranean view on morality to consider.

To be technical, he worshipped the Triple Fish-God, and became Archbishop of the first church.......and then kills him in the end. But I think Space Dolphins were involved.
