DL owns b****s on IGN:
If there's one thing I cannot stand, it's ignorance. It brings out my inner troll. |

I'll reserve my judgements till I actually see the movie. But I would prefer things if Marvel took away the X-Men liscense from Fox. They do better when they control their own movies ala "Iron Man". But that guy you were arguing with is a total retard. |

Marvel would probably like to, but a contract's a contract. To be honest, there's little doubt Origins was made simply so Fox didn't lose the rights to make X-Men movies. I think it was getting close to the time between films where Marvel could have taken back said rights. As it stands, Marvel currently has to suffer with the leftovers it didn't license out when it comes to building their movie universe. Until the rights revert back to them, they can't use Spider-Man, the X-Men, The Punisher, Daredevil, Ghost Rider, Blade and a few others. Thankfully just about all of the Avengers were never licensed out, so there's that. Still, it must smart for Marvel not to be able to use several of their most popular characters and franchises.
I said as much. I try to be as nice as I can to most people, but IGN brings out the worst in me. I take a policy whenever I go to that site never to take any s*** I see lying down. I hate their community and nine times out of ten I make it clearly known with every comment I post. I almost feel sorry for the poor idiots; they don't stand a chance against me. |

Well I wouldn't know much about the community, so I'll take your word on it. Me, I'll always consider youtube one of the worst communities. If its not racists, Nazi lovers, annoying nihilists, anti-americanists, religious fanatics, communists or conspiracy theorists... its some annoying prick who likes putting up spam or something thats incredibly dickish and stupid. I count my victory against the idiot Che supporters as a major boon to my intelligence. One moron got into pusedo-new age psychiatry ****. Another just kept saying "Viva Che!" over and over ad nauseum. Some arguement. Only one person was smart enough to understand what I was trying to say "Che was a totallitarian, he did bad things, stop calling him a hero and making him out to be a martyr." He didn't make much of an arguement for the bastard, but he at least got my point and tried to debate things intelligently. Even the video itself was crap. "Che wasn't a threat to America", really? So his plan to go to South America and ignite a revolution that would spread towards America and start world war III wasn't a threat? Who were these so called experts and who the ***** gave them degrees? Off topic... anyway... It definetly sucks that Marvel can't use its own characters. They did fine with Spider-Man for two movies, X-Men 2 wasn't bad either, but damn do I wish Marvel got the chance to do their heroes justice. You know what sucks most? This means Wolverine won't appear in Avengers. Son of a bitch. |

I'm of the opinion that there was only one really good Spider-Man film. That's the first one. I really don't get what the big deal was about the second one and I'm an admitted easy mark for Spider-Man. I mean, seriously, it's not that the second one didn't have a decent story or anything. It's just that the actors felt like they weren't even trying. Everybodies performances just felt so wooden and lacking emotion for half the movie. Even Toby sounded bored half the time, even more so than usual consider his usual lower key tone. To be honest, I thought everybody was miscast in the first place; Toby was way too low key to play the geeky, witty Peter Parker and Kirsten understood Mary Jane less and less as the trilogy rolled on. Lame-duck acting buried 2, I felt. Let's not even discuss 3; I liked it better than most, but it was certainly mediocre. I really, really just want the Spider-Man franchise to revert back to Marvel. I'm sure they could do a proper job with it. Same for X-Men; the first one was fairly decent, but the second was too heavy on the symbolism and carried solely on Nightcrawler and Wolverines back.
There are no Nazi lovers or revolutionists there, but the users there are so stupid, so horribly ignorant, that it's enough to skyrocket my blood pressure.
I'm okay with that for now. Wolverine didn't join until a couple years ago in the comics. I figure he'd be a character to use for a third Avengers flick, not the first. With luck the rights will lapse back to Marvel by then. |

If this happens, what is your opinion on actor choice? Would you have them keep Jackman, or get someone else? I for one am not so sure. It would be nice to have Jackman for continuity's sake, but I can't help but feel like Jackman is a little too soft for the role. Maybe it's the voice. |

I'm a little use to Steve Blum providing the voice for Logan actually. After awhile he's really grown on me. Its the way he says "Bub". I know he probably wouldn't be able to play the role in the movie, but I like his portrayal the most. I don't mind Hugh Jackman... just so long as the traditional costume comes back. Say what you will, I've always been partial to yellow and blue myself. I grew up with it in the X-Men cartoon so its my favourite. |
