.......weeelll, it is some sort of disfigurement, and that's what Wade is. But even so, I don't THAT's Deadpool. As for the latest preview they're stating: Stop at 1:49 and 2:06 to see this “Weapon XI” guy, and on 1:54 for Ryan Reynolds, then decide. Plus, in 2:06, has anyone notice that this guy has LASER-EYE VISION???? I doubt Wade has anything laser related....unless it's in the form of a gun. |

It seems like this movie based game might actually be good. |

While this game looks promising, my past experience with movie-based games is gonna cause me to be more than a bit skeptical of that statement until the day I actually play the game and it proves me wrong. |

I wonder how long the game's been in development. The development cycle is generally a pretty decent indicator of how good the game will be in most cases. Tie-in games usually rush out the door because they absolutely must meet the target date of the film's release otherwise there's no real point. Some buck the trend though. By the way, that screwed up guy you've seen in promotions and such? Weapon XI? That is Deadpool. I'm very, very concerned about that. However, I plan on reserving final judgement until the movie hits theaters. Gambit's involvement basically insured I'd watch it. Sure, it's most likely nothing more than fan service, but I don't care much. I've been waiting since the X Trilogy first started for him to show up in film. |

Yeah, I don't care much for it either. But as long as Deadpool is as he should be by the end, I can likely overlook it. Some entertainment publications that have seen some previews, up to twenty minutes of the finished film product, say that Ryan Reynolds pulls off the wit well pre-screwed-up-by-the-Weapon-Project. It sounds like the man is perfect for the part, but got stuck with his character in someone elses movie. |

Here's a review from mgalusic. They do a live action Deadpool short film series that I like a lot. Apparently there's a leaked version of the rough cut drifting around out there. |

Yup. Fox is pissed off about it too. To the point where they've gotten the FBI involved. |

An interesting bit of information. A long time ago, movie theatres and movie makers liked to be a bit more interactive with their audience. They made the movies somewhat of an experience to go to. My dad once told me about how he went to see a zombie movie at the drive-in and a bunch of the employees were in zombie make-up, walking around the drive-in and freaking people out. Wolverine is apparently doing something special for their audience as well. Despite the leaked movie, albeit unfinished movie, they've added something in to get the people itnerested again. Secret endings. According to the press release, different prints of the film that go out to the theatres on opening night will have different secret endings at the end depending on what you find. Much like Tony Stark meeting Nick "Samuel L. Jackson" Fury in his apartment. One of the endings does contain Deadpool, which means, hopefully, that they plan on actually doing the merc better service in his own spinoff film (Wait, a spinoff of a spinoff film? Isn't that a paradox or something?) More info here: http://www.firstshowing.net/2009/04/24/x-m...secret-endings/ |

I was at Wal*Mart today, getting my oil changed. They had Deadpool Action figures For sale in promotion for the movie. The whole standee on which I found this stuff (dedicated to the various toys available for the film.) Was Full. There was not a single action figure of the Barakka-Deadpool. The only Deadpools there featured the classic Merc-with-a-Mouth. Maybe the took that other one off the market, but that's just wishful thinking. I might buy one once I get my paycheck on Friday. ---------------------------------------------------------- On a side note, the theater I work at is having a midnight showing of this (as in, on Thursday night). I plan on going to this. When I get back (either immediately or when I wake up the next day) I will try my hand at writing a review. Seeing as I don't have to pay, I might as well give you guys the opportunity to save $8 And I will, of course, detail (in a spoiler) the secret ending in my area. Hopefully it will be one favoring Deadpool. |

http://movies.ign.com/articles/978/978206p1.html Nnnh, I'm torn. On the one hand, I'm afraid of them screwing up this story. On the other hand, the Japan story from the original Wolverine mini is a classic that I'd love to see in live action. Screw it. I hope Origins does well so this is made. |

All right. Time for my half-assed attempt at a review. Go see this movie. It is very good, and does an excellent job of leading into the first X-Men film. Now, onto the reason I saw this movie in the first place. Deadpool. Spoiler: click to toggle And as for my region's hidden ending Spoiler: click to toggle
