I can't find the topic for this. We need to fix that search engine. Anyway, good news about the game. Its officially been announced Atari has picked up the game. Hey, activision's loss is their gain. http://ps3.ign.com/articles/927/927801p1.html So now we just got to wait for the game to finally come and shower us with Ghostbuster goodness. |

As long as it's coming. I'm not particularly surprised Activision lapsed on it. They've been losing money recently; hell, I think they're planning on dropping 6% of their workforce; and before you think that's not much, that's around 600 jobs. Hell, maybe this will give Atari an actual hit for once. They've been forced to rely on the Dragonball Z franchise for way too long once their attempts with Driver failed. |

That reminds me, I should really start building that if I want it anywhere close to being ready for next year. Anyways, Hurrah! And it's not like 2009 is far away, I've been wanting to be a ghostbuster since the 80s, I think I can handle a few more months. |

Also I read today, apparently the third movie is being written and our four favourite busters have all agreed to give it a go if the script agrees with them. |

Ahh, I'd heard that too. I'm hoping the script is good so that they all sign on. I'd prefer it to be live action, but I understand why they'd be looking at a CG film. It has been a long time since the last film.
I wish I still had my toy proton pack from when I was a kid. I used to have a lot of the toys they had out for the films and such. The trap, the proton pack, the jumpsuit. Ahh, memories... |

We had a photon pack once. I liked the noise it made. Unfortunately I lacked the awesome brown jumpsuit. At least next summer I'll be able to live out my busting fantasies. When I played it out in my youth it did make me feel good. |

Don't forget the ever important PKE meter. ...This is going to take a good chunk of time and lots of money, but I hopefully will be able to build one in a year or two. If I don't give up completely due to no talent with tools. |

Haha! I had that too! I had a bunch of the Ghostbusters toys way back then. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Ghostbusters were my two early childhood obsessions. I still have a soft spot for both of 'em. Unfortunately, several of the toys were lost to the ravages of time and my sister. Mostly my sister. She wrecked a lot of my stuff when she was younger, including several old comic books. She continues to wreck things today, but it's just on a larger scale. |

If this wasn't stated as a video game, I could'a sworn this looked like a new GB movie, the developers got the actors faces down the point. |

Woo. Yeah, like GhettoMac said, those are some sick graphics. Moments like this make me love the increases in technology we've had in the past few decades. And the gameplay looks prety good as well. I'm guessing that possession moment in the trailer means you'll have to fight the ghost inside the person? (And possibly extract it?) This could turn out to be one of the few decent movie-based games out there. *dons a protective, brown jumpsuit* Bring it on! |
