So they released the first trailer for Bioshock 2, Sea of Dreams on the Next Gen Console versions of the first Bioshock.

Man, what a great game. Hopefully, the next one will only be better...

Discuss please!

That's what we have LM for! :)

I know that the trailer really doesn't show much about the sequel's plot, but that's a good topic to discuss isn't it?

What do you guys think is going to happen?

Probably something to do with the Little Sisters, considering we have a grown up one that apparently misses her Big Daddy. She's holding a doll of it after all. Probably new plasmids since we see sand being lifted up magically.

Other then that, nothing much.

I don't think the sand would symbolize anything, though I must admit I didn't connect that to plasmids...

Still, the structures are clearly some sort of metal.

Also if that was a grown up little sister, than why are the buildings just then being formed? I thought that Bioshock 2 was a prequel...Unless she's building a second Rapture...

I'm not sure, I don't know anything other then rumours. I don't think its a prequel, I'm not aware.

But they weren't metal, they were sandcastles. You're thinking of the logo.

I have NOT played the first Bioshock because I'm not aloud to play M rated games.
I basically know the plot and gameplay, and I have sort of an idea. I like what 7th said about building a second rapture, but I believe that this game may take place mostly above land. Possibly on the seaside. Maybe the remnants of Rature rose to the surface? But I don't see how a Little Sister could tie in.

God, I want a Big Daddy plushie.

That's a definate possibility frungus.

I wish some of the characters in Bioshock didn't die though. It'd be so cool to see them in the next one.

Dr. Steinman: My god that guy was awesome. Not for his fighting skills, but just for his sheer insanity. The mad scientist is a cool theme too...

Sander Cohen: Once again, freakin amazing work on his insane personality. Sander might be in the next one even if it is a sequel and not a prequel though. You can play through the game and not kill him...

Andrew Ryan: (No description is feesible for the audacity of Andrew Ryan's awesomness)

Frank Fontaine: Wow...

Do you think Jack will still be around?

Highly doubt it, depending on which ending is canon. He's either dead or crazy. I'd say he's dead, and old... old and dead.

I don't think it will take place on land or in a different rapture. Its more then likely we'll head back down to the city again to see more of it and perhaps some old parts as well. Again what we saw was an older little sister, why I'm not sure, but she ties into the game somehow... I think.

I agree on the character analysis by the way.

Has anyone seen this? These guys are making an animated movie (series?) about Ryan. I'm pretty sure it isn't made by the actual Bioshock team, but prove me wrong. It's not canon though.

I guess I have to agree with you there LM. Jack's reappearance is unlikely.

I still want it to be a prequel. It'd be nice to see all of the characters in person (figuratively) that we only got to hear on recording.

It'd be nice to see Anne Culpepper before Ryan had her assassinated. It'd be nice to see Dr. Steinman mutilate his first unknowing patient. It'd be nice to see Sander Cohen make the recording of "The Wild Bunny..."

PLus we'd get to see Ryan and Fontaine again while they were still young and active...

And yeah frungus, I've seen that. It's not the real team, no. I talked to the guy in charge about avoice acting part. I never got around to it, but I think I would've made the part. I do a pretty good Fontaine (not to blow my own horn).

Are they gonna start?
