The movie sucked. But I'm gonna watch New Moon next time anyways =P The acting stunk, especially Bella (gawd I hated her every five secs she was blinking). And the romatic moments were so awkward. When I was reading the book it seemed sexy, in the movie it was awkward turtle like eww And the special effects was sort of bad gah! Still love Twilight though, and again Imma see the next movie <333 |

I'm actually one of those people who enjoyed the movie fairly well. Yeah, there were times when the acting wasn't too great, yes there were details left out, and yes, Edward didn't live up to anyone's expectations (although I called that before the movie was even made), but overall, I felt it stayed true to the spirit of the book, which you rarely see happen these days when a book translates to a movie. My main complaint were a couple of moments (say, the time Bella gets cornered by those four guys in the city) that they should have prolonged, in that case, to emphasize the tension and convey the danger of the situation, but I thought it did a pretty good job of conveying the story. So yes, the medow scene probably should have been longer, there should have been a longer fight between James and Edward and Jasper should not have looked like a space case the whole time (yes, I know they were conveying him still getting used to being a vegetarian, but he had the same expression the whole time! It should have gotten worse whwn he got around Bella or something!), but as a casual fan of the series, I'm not getting upset about little details they left out (like outfits they changed and such) or imagery that had been left up to the reader that they changed from how I'd imagined it. I actually enjoyed a few of the creative liberties they took and as a non die-hard fan, I wasn't as picky about the omission of certain details that I didn't think were essential as a dedicated fan would have been. Keeping that in mind, I felt it was an overall good movie and that fans, though they may complain all they like, should at least find solace in the fact that it was one of the few movies that fairly well stuck to the book. |

this movie was good. there were certain parts of it where it seemed unaturally fluffy and too fake, and sometimes just non-believable. the best parts were when the action was at its climax- during those parts i felt like it came alive the most, and was the most true to the book. but i suppose it must have been a hard book to do, since the book was practically all POV. im impressed with the way the director(s) was able to create the same emotions within the audience (or most of it). and the piano (Bella's Lullaby) was phenom. ive already downloaded the sheet music <3 . 4 stars outta 5 ^_^ |

Yeah, you're right, but when I thought about it for a while, most of those parts in the book were unnaturally fake and fluffy and unbelievable anyways. |

Grrrrroar. Rumor has it that they're planning to get rid of Taylor Lautner as Jacob. THEY BETTER NOT. I love Taylor Lautner. HE'S SO CUTE! But supposedly the directors are debating wether or not Lautner is right to play Jacob after he finds out he's a werewolf. They wanted to replace him with the dude who played Prince Caspian, who actually wants to play Aro. |

Yep. That and the whole drama between the supposed Kristen-smoking-a-bong pics, and the "Robert's a hard-core party-er". Although I do believe that Kristen does look stoned most of the time and Rob is annoying sometimes, I'm just kind of sick of the drama surrounding the movie. |

Oh, c'mon. It's a movie, which guarantees drama in the first place. Throw in Twilight, and you have a bona-fide recipe for high school level drama on a Hollywood scale. I'm not saying it doesn't get annoying, but it's to be expected. |

Well, that and the books seem to breed drama wherever they're bandied about, from the girl at my school who considers it her "Bible," to the fangirls who cut their necks and present them to Pattenson. All this fuss, over...what, exactly? I'm a quarter into the first damn book, and all it's managed to do is annoy me. Thus far, we've established that: -The Cullens are mysterious. -Edward is ZOMGSMEXXAY!!111!1111111oneone!11!one2! -Bella is a whiny, self-obsessed hypocrite. People keep saying "It gets better after chapter 8." Whoop dee goddamn doo. Again, some 125 pages in, and I've read cereal boxes with more development. Regardless of whether or not it picks up--and with highlights like Vampire!baseball, Sparkly!Edward and the little fight scene that wasn't, how could it not?--a book should not take 1/4 of its entirety to stop sucking. Funny how I keep hearing about how many people are fanatically devoted to this book, yet the vast majority of people I talk to share my opinion on it. It was a bonding point between my girlfriend and I; after reading it, she told me that she broke down and started searching around her house for the plot. I'm not far from doing the same myself, folks. |

Ahh, Twilight. It's weird for me. About six months ago, I was an avid reader and enjoyed the plot thoroughly, not as much as some, but I believed it to be an allright story and well written. Along with pretty cool cover art, if that matters. But then came -dun DUN DUNNNNNN- the fangirls. OH MY GOD. How annoying can you get? "OMGOMGOMGOMG EDWARD CULLEN IS SO AMAZING <333" OMGOMG HES SO HOT!!!!!1111!1!!ewqrq" "I WISH MY BOYFRIENND WAS LIKE EDWARD CULL-" -BLAM- STFU NOOB. Anyway. the fangirls were just simply driving me crazy. Also, the fact that every Hot Topic had replaced all of the actually kinda cool stuff with black t-shirts with Edward's face on it. Good fking lord, come on. He's a narcissistic, contradictory, depressing, selfish waste of a good character plot point in a story. I despised him the entire time I read the bloody book. (Though I didnt have a soft spot for Jacob, either.) All of the other characters, for me though, were enjoyable enough to read about. I'd have to say Emmett was my favorite, but no one likes him. Oh well. The whole sparkeling in the sunlight thing was....kinda gay. Actually more like. -dramatic hero music- "MEGGAA GAAAAYYYYYYY" I didn't understand why they had to play baseball. It just didn't make any sense to me. Bella was a very well described and enjoyable main character, though, I'll give Stephanie that. Sadly, though, thanks to the raving fangirls and the constant quotes, and the all of the merchandise and the fact that all of the fangirls LOVE Hot Topic now, I cannot stand niether the book, nor the store anymore. They just completely turned me off from it entirely.

I have never read these books nor have I seen the movie. However, what I can deduce from what I have read from both those who did and did not like them is that this book series is about a girl who falls in love with a vampire, who is a horrible, abusive person; but apparently it is okay because he is attractive. From what I can decipher from the fans' comments (They are usually in txtspeek and use caps and exclamation points in extreme excess), they really wish that they could find a boyfriend who would, I'm not kidding, cut the brakes in their cars and look at them through the window while they're sleeping. Maybe I missed something additional that makes this sweet and desirable... does being supposedly attractive make trying to kill you sweet? I also hear sunlight doesn't hurt vampires anymore. I'm calling bull. You have to be a pretty damn powerful vampire, and I'm talking Dracula level, to go out in sunlight and not instantly perish in a mighty blaze. So my initial reaction is: coolness factor nil and moral lessons extremely questionable. If there's anything you think would change my mind, please, interject. If this guy really is a Dracula level vampire, and he does in fact slaughter hundreds... well, that will make the moral lessons even more questionable, but the coolness would go up somewhat. EDIT: Okay, looking at the google ad of Twilight at the bottom of this page... goddamn that is one of the ugliest guys I've ever seen. |

Oh, totally. If you enjoy whiny, bratty, self-obsessed characters with the common sense of a turnip. "GEE GOLLY GOSH. I'M IN A TOTALLY UNFAMILIAR CITY THAT I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO BEFORE. I THINK I'LL WANDER AROUND IN THE BAD PART OF TOWN LOOKING FOR A BARNES & NOBLE." It also bugs me how she whines incessantly about how much she hates Forks, yet she chose to move there in the first place. |

You know what I find extremely amusing (and hugely annoying)? If you utter the name Edward, SOMEBODY around you goes nucking futs. "OMG EDWARD CULLEN?!?!?!?!??! DO YOU KNOW I'M AN EXPERT IN THE 'CULLEN'ARY ARTS?!?!?!" No. Example: Me and my friend were talking about Fullmetal Alchemist. And I happened to say Edward. A girl at our lunch table was like, "OMG EDWARD CULLEN?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!111!!!1one" We just kind of looked at her. My friend thought it was funny. On the other hand, I found it downright annoying. However, I was instantly cheered up when Facebook had some pretty awesome Flairs that read, "Edward Cullen trembles at the name Edward Elric", "Did Edward Cullen attempt a human transportation?" and such. Makes me happeh inside.
