It was better. It just didn't go the way you wanted it to, so you're complaining.

Hm.

Sounds like you think I'm a brat, but in reality, the reason you stated is why everyone doesn't like certain things.

It was only two posts...meh. WRY SO SERIOUS, SAM?

Anyway, I was just commenting on that fact. Don't wanna be post nazis(not saying you are, Sam), allow a little leeway. Just a wee bit.

But yes, please be civil everyone :)

Or Jaki's gonna have to lay some smackdown(with what, i don't know).

Honestly, I'm fed up with the Twilight series. I was getting sick of it recently, and I was hoping Breaking Dawn would pull me out of that slump. It didn't. Now I hate the series. Which is really sad.

By the way, just as an aside, something being canon and written by the original author does not immediatly mean it can't be qualified as crap to some. Everybody hits a sour note here or there; whether their awesome or not doesn't change that.

Just to counter the "well it's canon by the original person who has more money than you so it must be good" argument. There are several people with book deals I don't have who can't write worth a damn. Hell, even the best slip up, which is why that's a poor argument. One of my favorite authors, Steven Cannell, had a pretty lackluster book that I never even managed to finish called Riding the Snake; despite the fact that he wrote something as innately excellent as King Con among other unbelievably great books like the ones in the Shane Scully series. This isn't even mentioning his strong writing on several television series.

Some people even get lucky in regards to getting popular.

Canon can still be crap canon. Who it's written by doesn't change that.

It's alright Jaki. Just let it go. Nobody got an unfair warning or anything. Nobody got hurt from a little back on trackness. Not something that really needs debating. ^^

A very good point was brought up at another site.

Edward can't spawn kids.

In the beginning, when Twilight started, Stephenie clearly said that vampires cannot reproduce. And they have no other bodily fluids besides the venom in their teeth. SO WHY IS THERE ALL OF A SUDDEN REPRODUCTION?!

Or in the person's words, and I quote, "Where'd did Edward get the 'lil swimmers anyway?"
XD

"Wisconsin - having more fun than you since 1848!"
"I'm a nice person! I just took a shower! AND I JUST WASHED MY HAIR!" - Michael Jackson (right before a bunch of kids shoved him into his pool... fully clothed)

not to argue, but i thought it was females that couldn't do it, with the physical changes involved.

then again, doesn't sperm have to be at a certain temperature for it to survive?

like really warm

so they should be ded.

True dat. Edward's too cold. So that's why it's all retarded like that. This plot has holes all over it. Holey plot.

But Steph did say that Vamps can't have 'lil childrens. And like I said before, they don't have other bodily fluids besides venom.

Sounds like a retcon. Retroactive continuity. When something in a later story contradicts something from an old story and overides it as the truth.

This is the first time I've heard of a retcon in a book series though. They usually have their **** together enough so that it doesn't happen.

Unfortunately, this is true.

But I kinda feel bad for Stephenie. I mean, she's got to know about the recent backlash. There's A LOT of people who hate the book. Just type, "I hate Breaking Dawn" in google and see the results.

Poor Meyer. I still like her as an author. The Host is good.

Already? That didn't take long at all. There must have been more fans of the series than I thought.

I wouldn't worry about it. She'll likely bounce back later. Everybody has a bad novel, even some of the very best. It usually doesn't affect them in the long run though.

It wasn't in a book. Steph clarified herself.

Hmm. Well if it wasn't stated within the books themselves, I suppose it's not out of the question for her to change her mind about the whole thing. I've changed around a few of my own ideas several times.
