If you wanna read canon that sounds like bad fanfiction, then spend that $20. If not, don't bother. |

Might as well read it, then. It's good for a few laughs -- after you've repeatedly thrown it against the wall. |

The backlash over this book amuses me greatly. Especially Spazz's reactions. I love reading a bad book get ripped to shreds. Then, suddenly, Meyer comes online and capslocks "AUGUST FOOLS" and everyone finds out that such wasn't the real book and they were tricked. XD |

We in the business refer to that as "covering your own ass." It's what Nintendo did following E-3--now she's going to write a whole new book to get over the negative backlash she's gotten over her shitty Vampire Wet Dream Novel #339. |

Oh boy, did Nintendo ever try covering their ass. I mean, they went balls out trying to. Too bad it didn't work. Most of their fans are still horriby pissed off at them, because they see it as a validation of their fears that they dont matter as much to Nintendo anymore. Can't say as I blame them. Nintendo's got a hard-on for the casual market. Hell, Oprah just bought a Wii; expect sales among middle aged chubby women to increase in the coming months. Nintendo bounced back after the Gamecube, but it was thanks to the loyal fans who bought their line of BS. Eventually, it's not gonna work anymore.
I'm really laughing myself to death over this. People were saying this was going ot be the next Harry potter as far as crazes go. Now it seems everybody is pissed off at the book. XD |

Hence why it's so lame. ---- LOL DL, she better be like "LOL IT'S JUST A JOKE, I GOT JOKES YA SEE?!" cause this book was so... bad. It didn't appeal to me like the first three. And for the record, I could care less who Bella gets with. We all know it's gonna be Edward, because it's been like that from the start. ~~~~~~~~~~ RANT AHEAD ~~~~~~~~~~ BELLA get's EVERYTHING... she wants a vampire boyfriend, she wants a best friend she can USE and hurt over and over again, she wants to be a vampire, have sex with him, get married to him, she doesn't give a crap about her family, and she's HAPPY when she heard she got pregnant. ... I WOULD BE SCREAMING HOLY HELL IF I FOUND OUT I WAS PREGNANT AT 18 OR 19 COLLEGE?! No, not for me, I want to marry my Vampire boyfriend and get laid because that's me, Bella. There could have been more development other than love. I mean, couldn't there have been tragedies that helped build Bella as a character or make her stronger? Maybe Charlie dies? And she gets so upset which postpones the wedding and then vampires try to hunt her down next but theirs this big actiony finale. Then finally at the end she gets married with Edward and Jacob meets a girl at the wedding who "dazzles" him just as much as Edward "dazzles" Bella. BUT NO.... Instead we get to see her pregnant so early on in the book and watch her change into a different Bella. IT IS LIKE A BAD FANFICTION. And Jacob IMPRINTS on her baby. And forgets EVERYTHING? Couldn't there have been some conflicts where he struggles with this acceptance. He's loved Bella for so long but falls for her baby? Seriously now, and what happened to Meyer's "She can't get pregnant from vampires"? Lame excuse is given. The book was good at some points but overall it was a NO NO. And trust me, I was a big fan of the Twilight Series, but this was a disappointment. |

Yeah. You know how Carlisle was talking about how toddler vamps are a major no-no? Well, Bella's baby is TECHNICALLY a no-no (hence the Volturi coming to take care of the abomination). Bella's all like, "Yeah, this thing could very well take my life. Hell, it could take the lives of the ones I love. But that's OK! "Seriously. WTF. I mean, MAJOR WTF. And Jake with Renesmee gives me the heebie jeebies. Ugh. Just ugh with an extra side of ugh. The only person allowed to imprint on a toddler is Quil. Because he's cool like that. I suppose I could always look forward to Midnight Sun... I don't know if I want to even read it now. I'm glad the series is over, however. I couldn't stand more Renesmee. But if Meyer starts a new series STARRING RENESMEE, I will seriously murder myself. Ugh. |

You people are a major buzzkill. I loved Renesmee. She wasn't a no-no. She was a living, breathing half-human that could GROW and DEVELOP. Not a bloodthirsty, ravenous little vampire who couldn't be tamed. The Volturi coming to get her was a misunderstanding by Irina... and an excuse for the Volturi to come and acquire more talents. But then they wimped out. Which was annoying. But Ms. Meyer likes her characters too much to kill them off, I can tell. And who the crap would want to go to college when you have the choice to live forever, which gives you all the time in the world to learn what you would have to learned in college? Whatever. I'm looking forward to more books with Renesmee in them. I hope they happen. Can't wait for Midnight Sun, either. |

Oh. Jane Eyre. Poor Helen. ._. That book has some really good imagery and it's pretty depressing. I suggest a prozac after reading. Anyway, I thought the book delievered. It was hilarious, the characters grew and Nessie was the cutest thing in the world! I just wanted to pick her up and never let go. I was glad to see Jacob and Edward became close and the fued between the two ending. Edward and Jake's love for Bella was the only thing they pretty much had in common and when Jake imprinted his love for Bella shifted into more of a friendship. There was no reason for Jake's bitterness for Edward anymore. It wasn't messy anymore and it wasn't too angsty. Thank God. I keep hearing everyone say bad fanfiction or whatever and when I do I kinda laugh to myself. Stephenie Meyer is a published author who makes more then your parents, she not only owns the Twilight universe but she created it. She can do whatever the hell she pleases with the universe. If everyone wrote what they thought should happen then it really would be bad fanfiction. (For more then one reasons of course.) Oh, and guys.. Look up at the title of the thread. This is the Twilight thread; not the E3 & Nintendo thread. There were a few things I could've done without. Like Jake being called son and the Volturi not killing some side characters. But that really doesn't matter because the good out weighed the bad. I'm hoping for a Nessie/Jake side story. It would be so awesome. OH! AND BEN WAS SO AWESOME. *such an avatard* LOL GAIS http://community.livejournal.com/lion_lamb/1651773.html Breaking Dawn in like 500 words. |

The fact that she makes more than my father does disappoints me because her book is crap. The fact that she can do whatever she pleases with the universe also disappoints me because she let it sell out like crap and she encourages teen pregnancy with this book.
She can do whatever she wants with the universe, and she does this. It's very disheartening. I will not be reading Midnight Sun. |

You're entitled to your opinion. Go ahead. Who cares. And to the other part.. LOL.. I'm not even going to comment on that crap. The circumstances ARE so fiction. Bella got preggo by a VAMPIRE. HENCE why it IS fiction. And abortion. The author is mormon.. Last time I checked they're kinda against killing babies. |

It's your choice to read it. Feel free not to read the next however-many books Mrs. Meyer puts out tying in with this series. I'm so glad I was here from the beginning and I have respect for Mrs. Meyer. Ahh. <3 And Sean - OMGLOLthat link cracked me up. XDDD |

Oh, of course it was my choice. I usually go by the don't-like-don't-read policy anyway. Thing is, I read the first three books (well, I liked the first book the best) so I was expecting something... well, better.
And Muslims are against premarital sex but I write about it all the time. Still, I guess you can see where you're coming from -- personal beliefs of the author tend to rub off on their characters. But still. |

It was better. It just didn't go the way you wanted it to, so you're complaining. Hm. |
