This Rage mode thing seems pretty cool.

Also, I love the Joker's moves.

Indeed. I'm quite happy with how he looks. He really looks like he stepped right out of the pages of a comic. Except that he needs a splash of light, light blue on him. Otherwise, it's good.

I guess blue's always been that other colour to go with his costume, huh? Not black?

Well, a dark blue, yeah. The scales of the armor there that you see, however, are usually a lighter blue.

Still, even with black, it's not like he can be mistaken for anything but the comic Deathstroke. That's definitely him.

All this reminds me of why I hated Slades AS design (or how he was used in general, for that matter).

I've actually watched the entire series again, and looked at how he is in the comics. I gotta say, maybe those evil plans would've fit someone else better. Maybe an original villain, or someone who's just as evil as Slade was in the AS?

For some weird reason, his appearance in "Things Change" reminds me of when Beast Boy and him actually had a more civil conversation regarding Terra. I think it's the only time he came close to behaving like his comic book counterpart, and even then it's not very much.

It definitely would have fit someone else better. It was really too "bwa ha ha" villain-esque for Slade. In the comics, he's a mercenary and once a member of the army. He had a sort of moral code; and the only reason he took on the Titans is because he was taking up his dead son's contract.

The AS version was just some random villain under his name and with a similar uniform. Sadly, that evil has seeped into the comics now. I'm waiting for someone to come along and wipe away said nonsense, get Slade back to how he used to be.

When you step back and compare it to the real Titans, it becomes far easier to see what I meant back when I regularly called it a butchery. XD

Actually, now that I look back at your old article, look at the series, and compare it to some of the comics, I gotta say that you're right. There are some things about the comic that shouldn't have been changed for the series.

For instance, I think Plasmus was a bit more intelligent in the comics.

He was. Hell, several villains were more intelligent, menacing in the comics. Oh, and Brother Blood in the comics? Has nothing to do with Cyborg. He's a friggin leader of a cult centered around Trigon.

Sometimes it really pains me how much the AS screwed with everything.

I believe Raven's story arc in season four was an adaption of the Terror of Trigon story. I know it couldn't possibly have been close to the comic books, but how does the show's telling compare to the original comic book story?

As far as an actual story, it wasn't the worst of the show by far. But as an adaption of Terror of Trigon, it missed a lot of key beats.

In the original story, Trigon forceably escaped from his prison that the Titans had made for him. When he went to earth, he took complete control of Raven and destroyed Azarath. The Titans were actually forced to kill Raven to stop her; and Rae's body was used as a vessel by the souls of Azarath and Azar to kill Trigon outright. After the battle was done and the Titans assumed their comrade dead, Raven rose from the ashes, reborn, finally free of her father's influence.

Compare that to the season four plot; and you can see the differences. Raven is used as a portal, regressed in age, Titans fight shadowy counterparts, Robin finds her, blah blah blah, Raven turns teen again and in a major deus ex machina finish smacks Trigon back by herself.

A lot of people love that season just because it had darker tones, but it had a lot of problems that such did not excuse.

The Titans had a prison made for him? When did this happen? Was he even in a prison to begin with, like did the people of Azarath put him in a prison a while ago? I never read any of the Teen Titans comics, so I'm a bit clueless.

It seems like there's very few similarities between the original comic story, and the TV show adaption.
