I've pretty much tried to portray Fang as a ruthless bounty hunter in KH:O, actually. And I plan on making him a bigger threat as the RPG goes on.
Yeah I guess, but take a look at the Chaotix's first meeting with "Eggman" in Sonic Heroes. Espio takes note of his appearance saying, "That's the evil genius, Dr. Eggman." And then Charmy goes on to say, "Dr. who?" That's what I don't like about the Chaotix's reinvention! Right there! It's as if they had forgotten who Eggman was, since they had first met him in the 32X game, Knuckles' Chaotix. Although Charmy is supposed to be a scatterbrained kid, so I guess it'd be natural for him to easily forget things.
Sonic the Hedgehog (1991) Sonic 2 (Game Gear) Sonic 2 (Genesis) Sonic 3 Sonic & Knuckles Sonic 3D Sonic Adventure Sonic Adventure 2 Sonic Heroes Shadow the Hedgehog Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) Sonic Unleashed Sonic Chaos Sonic Triple Trouble Sonic Blast Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure Sonic Advance Sonic Advance 2 Sonic Battle Sonic Advance 3 Sonic Rush Sonic Rush Adventure Sonic Rivals 2 Sonic Spinball Sonic R Sonic Riders Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity Sonic Drift Sonic Drift 2 Tails Adventures Sonic Labyrinth Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood Sonic the Fighters Look at that mess. That's the number of games that the Chaos Emeralds have played a part in. You'd think that Sega would cut them a break. |

You've done a pretty good job with it, too. Don't make him too ruthless, though. Even a weasel has something he cares about more than the bottom dollar.
Easy fix only available to us Americans: Eggman was known as Dr. Robotnik back then. Now going by Eggman, Charmy would have plenty of reason to be all "Dr. wha? WTF?"
Really, they should sit down and come up with another power or reason to go through special stages. Like, going through one and completing it would give you a new ability. That would solve the problem, really. Because lets face it, the Emeralds have shown up in half of those games partially so the games had an excuse for including the trademark special stage. But my idea would give them a proper rest. |

For God's sake, even Nintendo decided to give the Emeralds a part for Brawl. The last time the Emeralds were given a break was Sonic and the Secret Rings, when the seven World Rings took their place. Secret Rings!! And that was a year ago! Goddamn it! And in Zero Gravity, even when they're replaced in the story by the five Arks of the Cosmos, the Chaos Emeralds are still in the game as an unlockable board Sonic uses in Normal Race mode to turn into Super Sonic! And now, Sonic has a separate Super form for his Werehog form! So, what's gonna happen this time?! The Emeralds get together, and yet they're still corrupted?! Good God! Please, Sega! Get those Emeralds out of our faces! Put in a different plot point other than the Chaos Emeralds! |

Alright! Finally, a full playthrough of Mykonos, Greece! ... Even if there are random passers-by getting in the way. You can spot the new character at the end of the video at the level results screen. http://www.campsonic.com/2008/08/20/sonic-...tage-on-mykonos Also, we've got more screens of the game taken from Leipzig, as well as a bonus piece of artwork. http://www.sonicstadium.org/news/get-a-loa...ns-from-leipzig The Wii and PS2 ports of the game aren't looking too shabby either. http://www.sonicstadium.org/media-n-stuff/...the-wii-looking |

ArchAngelUK, the man who runs the Sega Blognik, made a post after inquiries were made with Sega's brand manager about Fang's rumoured return.

Those screen shots look awesome! Though I'm a little creeped out by the whole stretchy arm thing O_o...What does Sonic, let alone a Were Sonic, need strechy arms for? |

That's one thing that baffles me. Part of me thinks that it might have to do with the fact that Sonic Team wants to make this game more cartoony, instead of giving it a realistic visual design like the one seen in Next-Gen. I'm all for having cartoony visual designs for this game, but c'mon. That's just ridiculous. Man, Sonic puts Mr. Fantastic to shame! EDIT: There's a new gameplay video of one of the daytime levels, and it actually looks more encouraging then the E3 stage demo done for GameSpot. http://www.sonicstadium.org/news/meet-chip I like how Sonic's looking at the score at the end of the level, and upon receiving an S rank, he does a break dance. It goes to show that even Sonic has some small knowledge of his existence as a video game character. |

In 1-2 weeks, one of Official Nintendo Magazine's writers, Chris@ONM, will be going hands-on with the Wii version of Sonic Unleashed. http://www.officialnintendomagazine.co.uk/...ghlight=#902333
Chris went to Leipzig to try out the Wii version of the game, but he was told that the Wii version wasn't working properly, so he went to try out the 360 demo instead. http://www.officialnintendomagazine.co.uk/...cle.php?id=5625

Hmm. That is really bothering me. I had a feeling the Werehog gimmick was going to be a mistake. Which sucks considering that he sounds relatively impressed with the game so far. |

By the sounds of it, the Werehog sections are at least playable. I don't really mind the Werehog sections, because by the looks of some of the gameplay videos, they remind me of some of the older Sonic games when Sonic wasn't just about speed, but also a little bit about exploration. Heck, even the regular daytime sections have some exploration too in the form of multiple paths. |

We'll see, I guess. I've got hopes on this game. It looks to be shaping up better than anything I've seen in the past six years of Sonic games. I don't want to be let down again. I'm hearing positive and somewhat mixed reactions thus far, so at the very least, I'm hoping for a playable and somewhat fun experience. Kinda like SA2, which had a lot of flaws, but still managed to be a fun enough experience. |

This seems to be a popular thread, so I guess join. It's kinda hard to, cause I'm not much a Sonic fan and there are a a bit to much to even count. But this game's plot and development seem to similiar to Jak 2. |

Do join the discussion Ghetto. We could always use more people to discuss things. XD I'm surprised you're not much of a fan of Sonic. Any particular reasons? Did the 3D games just sour you to it? |

Well, I don't COMPLETELY hate it. It's kinda hard to explain why. But if I were to shorten it, I'd say I hate it and love it at the same time, but yea, some of the 3-D's did sour my taste. |

Any of the 3D's past Adventure 2 completely soured me on the whole thing in general. Still, I hold the 2D games in high regard. Not to mention I hope Sega can get it's ass in gear and get the whole 3D thing right at some point. Game sequels usually get better, but it seems like since Adventure, the only one I thought was actually great, it's gotten worse and worse. Weird. |
