Okay, well, one's about to speak up now. Me and several of my friends at school are huge Harry Potter fans and we've been discussing what's gonna happen in the 7th book for about a year now and we did that for the 5th and 6th book too. I think we've mentioned the realtionships five, maybe six times now? We almost couldn't care less. WE're really into the plotline. Me and one of my friends had about an half-hour long debate over who's gonna die in the 7th book and how. But yeah, I gotta see this movie, too. If it's as good as my friends have said, I'm going to be thrilled, especially compared to the last two films. Now, if only I can get someone to take me...(man, I need a driver's lisence!) |

Wow, seems like this is a love-it-or-hate-it movie. I read the book a few years ago and I can't really remember a lot of the real story, but I thought the movie was great anyway. Very dark, which is cool, and the casting for Umbridge was fantastic. The woman was made for this part I think. She seems really nice but is totally evil. Sweet. Plus, her total pink outfit seemed to drive Bun nuts. She's not a fan of pink. Makes me love this movie even more. I gave it four stars. Some stuff was definately cut out of it, but it was still great to watch. |

Well, the movies in general seem to be a love it or hate it affair in general, from what I've gathered. A lot of book fans don't like many of the changes made for the movies. On the other token, the more moderate book fans and those who haven't read them seem to love it. In general though, the movies sell seats, so there can't be THAT many people who hate them. Though, while I can't say from experience, as I haven't watched the films, the old adage probably rings true here as well: The book is always better then the movie. |

True that. Harry Potter 5 is one of my favorite books in the series, but then when they make a movie, I mean, you have to leave stuff out. The directors could exceed the budget and not everybody wants every little detail like in the book, either. My cousin Elizabeth told me a few weeks ago that she only watches the movies while Arianna reads the books and watches the movies also. So, like you and Thames said, it's a love-it-or-hate-it kinda movie. Which I think kicked ass. (5 stars) |
