The only sequel I have ever really liked was Lion King two... and Lion King is some good stuff XD

Lion King was great! But then the producers ruined it with Lion King 1 1/2. That version was a piece of horrible, nasty, retarded crap.

Uhm, anyways, I dislike most of the movies that air on Disney Channel nowadays. Before they were pretty good, but now they're blah.

Little Mermaid movies were, are, and always will be "blech."

The first Brother Bear was bearable (XD... no pun intended... *crickets*), but a sequel to it would be horrible (I haven't seen the sequel).

The Emperor's New Groove was really good, to me. But then they ruined that with Kronk's New Groove and the (OMG!) "new disney channel series!" Both of those stink...

And I hate the fact that when they finally get a good movie, they think that they should make a sequel to it. It ruins the value of the first movie completely. >.>

There's a Cinderella 2? What the heck could happen in that? She loses her glass birth control pills and by the stroke of midnight a seed shall be planted in her belly?
Sorry, that was gross

actually, the mice just listen to about three stories about cinderella or some s***.the first storie is about cinderella adjusting to palace life,
the second is about one of the mice feeling left out,and becoming a human for a little while.the last one is about one of cinderella's step sisters falling in love.

actually, i liked the first brother bear. the music was good.
one thing ive noticed about most movies- not always necessarily disney- is that the sequel always has the main character find a mate. for example-
santa clause 2
brother bear 2
ice age 2

or the sequel's always about the main characters' offspring having "problems" and "living their own lives". like:
lil mermaid 2
lady and the tramp 2

im sure theres plenty more but my mind juss went on blank.
the worst sequel ive ever seen was beauty and the beast 2: the enchanted christmas. It -was-the-WORSTEST-movie ive ever seen. to me.
the only sequels i think ive ever actually enjoyed was the aladdin trilogy. it cant be topped. no way.

I haven't watched a disney movies since I was a child (great I sounded lioke an old man) and as most of you have mentioned, the secueles stink and I think I know why, the reason dor a second part is only to make more money, they only use the popularity of a movie for this propuse.

I really don't like most of disney movies, like Snata clause 3, the new one, but that's just my opinion.

The end of the world is nothing compared with my room, don't enter there... I'm serious.

I blame Aladdin.

As much as I liked the two sequels (which I think are the only good direct video Disney animated movies), it was the first chain-reaction that started all this mess. Since Aladdin had a two sequels, why can't all the Disney animated movies have sequels, too?

-_-

Although... maybe it was the Rescuers Down Under, which is the sequel to the Rescuers, is the REAL culprit. But, the only difference between that sequel movie and all the others is, it was the only sequel Disney movie that was shown in the movie theater.

Hmm...

No matter what the cause, it's simply unfortunate. Many of the movies are self contained, needing a sequel of no kind.

Sequels to shows can be good, whether movies or succesor shows. Batman: Gotham Knights (oficially titled The New Adventures of Batman) is an example of a follow up show being very good. Aside from a few designs which needed no changing. Same for direct to video animation movies

Disney can't seem to get the job done with their movie sequels, though, unlike shows, and I think part of the problem is they are both never interesting and completely unnecessary. Cinderella 2? The Little Mermaid 2? What's left to get without pulling things directly out of their asses? Which is exactly what they do.

Unfortunatly, it's a sad habit of theirs. They can't seem to make many good original movies these days either.

The latest on this front is "The Fox and the Hound 2". I haven't even bothered looking to see how it is, as it's 99% likely to suck. A shame too. I liked "Fox and he Hound". One of the few Disney movies I truely enjoyed. Sad to see it get an unnecessary sequel too. =/

Best thing to do at this point is disavow any knowledge of sequels to Disney movies at this point. Few are worth the time.

Umm.... I hate pretty much all direct-to-video Disney movies.

...Well, not all. The Return of Jafar, and King of Thieves were the only ones I liked. Pretty much.

Have you noticed in Disney movies, the girl gives up something for the guy.

Tarzan
Little Mermaid
Beauty and the Beast
Cinderella
And more.....

Fox and the Hound was one of my favorite movies. I always cried. But with Fox and the Hound 2 coming out....I'm with dl.

The thing with Disney these days is that they don't know when to quit. They keep on churning out direct-to-DVD movies.

Alice in Wonderland was a good movie to see when I was a kid. If they were to make a sequel based upon the book sequel, I'd be fine with that, as long as they did it right.

Hercules should've just ended with that one movie. Hercules: Zero to Hero was just an excuse to start the TV series, Hercules.

Tarzan and Jane, again, was just an excuse to go through with the Legend of Tarzan TV series, which was equally as painful. Tarzan II did not make me a happy kiddie, as it is a crappy prequel. The heck is that?!? Tarzan and Jane should've been the second one!!! There should be NO Tarzan II! Disney, you should've left Tarzan alone. That way, it'd be more fun to see that Tarzan taught himself the abilities he has now, not another average-Joe gorilla!

Now, the Aladdin sequels, they knew how to handle. The Return of Jafar had Jafar destroyed in the end. I knew it wasn't going to end there, so they made the TV series. ... You've failed, Disney. However, you made up with the final part of the series, Aladdin and the King of Thieves. Aladdin met his father, Robin Williams returned to play as Genie, Aladdin and Jasmine finally married, and Iago left the team to go journeying with Aladdin's father. A wonderful end to the Aladdin franchise.

The Little Mermaid II, OH MY FREAKIN' GOSH!!! Ursula should NOT have a sister! Thus, there would be no sequel! And now, supposedly, the Little Mermaid III's gonna be another crappy prequel! Man, the Little Mermaid show even premiered before the sequel, and I didn't even like it then!

Return to Neverland disappointed me in many ways. For example, no hungry crocodile to torment Hook=an unhappy SoniCalvin.

I haven't seen Mulan II, and frankly don't care, as there doesn't seem to be any villain. And if there is, he/she is probably a piece of crap who is either related to Shan-Yu, or someone entirely different.

Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas was actually pretty good. The villain in this one is actually supernatural (sort of), and he just plain scared me. Although, considering that he was voiced by Tim Curry, I can't really blame him. They went too far with such things as Belle's Magical World.

Simba's Pride... ehhhh..... it was..... alright, I guess. Same goes for Lion King 1 1/2.
