Apparently, the Wii is delivering on all fronts so far, but there are some potential future problems brought to light.

Mainly, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance for the Wii has apparently proved that with some games it would be a very good idea to program the classic controller options into the games so people can use the gamecube controller, because some games apparently will not work as well with the Wii's control scheme. The Wii controls apparently hurt Marvel: Ultimate Alliance badly in fun, especially considering it has no alternate controls. Many say the controls became boring quickly and they barely even wanted to finish the game due to a serious lack of variety in the Wii control motions and the fact that it works better with the traditional control scheme. It makes one hope the developers leave in classic controls with a gamecube controller so that good games won't completely flop due to awkward Wii controls and you won't have to go out and get a different version to enjoy it.

The PS3 has apparently been mediocre in it's launch. Sure, it has quite a few great games, but they were the usual suspects, like sports games and the millionth Tony Hawk skateboarding game (I honestly think it's time to kill that franchise, it's run it's course). Resistance: Fall of Man is the one game for the system so far that has the gaming world standing up and taking notice, but one isn't going to be enough in the long run. I've heard it said that "You only get one chance to make a first impression. The PS3 didn't dominate this time, it merely showed up".

However, what the PS3 seems ot have is quite a list of upcoming games. some of the upcoming ones look damn interesting and awesome. They may very well have had a mediocre launch, but they seem like the system will pick up and run in the future and even be the leading of the two more classic controlled systems in the future. It's a matter of time, especially if even half of the games in the pipeline for the PS3 live up to the awesome potential each of them has.

So apparently the internet verdict is, Wii dominates, while the PS3 is slow now, but looks almost certain to pick up in the future, especially with the mammoth support behind it from both legacy games (Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy XIII) and more original properties (Lair).

Well, I got a wii today (THANK GOD FOR TOYS R' US!AND BROTHERS WHO ARE WILLING TO FREEZE THEIR ASS OF FOR IT!)

How is it? It's great, interesting too, the controller gets some getting use to though

Is it worth the cost? I'd say so, it's nice and most of the games are interactive so it makes people get off their butts and play =D

How are the games? Cool some, others strange, XD I got the new legend of zelda game: Twilight princess and the graphics are great and the story so far is cool. Challenging also, (cause my brother couldn't get pass the first level without my help XD) awaiting more games, can't wait til more come out~

I'm still trying to find somplace with one.

Upstate New York is not an easy place to find a damn Wii unfortunatly.

Actually, thats probably a good thing at the moment. In order to be able to hook it to the internet I'd need a wireless router, considering the main line is upstairs and I live downstairs, plus I simply don't have a wireless router anyways. Therefore I wouldn't be able to go online with it.

Which is really bad, as quite a few of the Wii's features lie online, especially the one I want most, Virtual Console.

I wonder how much a wireless router goes for anyways... >_>

Probably more than you want to pay, but not so much that you won't pay. Yeah, my parents don't like me going online much on my games (no idea why), but I want to, so I can kinda relate. I may end up just seeing if I can buy the supplies and get online without them realizing. (neither of them know how my game system works, but my dad could figure it out, given a few hours)
