I love the whole series, it's just awesome. The fisrts games were harder to finish (at least for me) than the last one, but all the games were amazing, except those of the CD-i, but that's another story. The point of this thread is to disscuse these games, so if there's one or two fans of Zelda come here and talk about it. Here you can tell us about your experience not only with the games, also if you've read the manga, or if you like the characters, this thread is for you! |

I played the origonal Zelda on the Super Nintindo. It was awesome. I loved it. Then here recently my step dad got Zelda. (Really I have no idea what the name is.) And he mastered it I believe, so at that time I didn't want to play it. He said it was no fun, but whatever. He's a jackass living with his mom now, so I don't believe him anymore. Anywho... I loved the very first one. It totally rocked my socks. |

I've played Zelda before, but after a little while I got bored and sadly this game didn't entertain me much, it's still a great game I just have a lack of intrest of things after a certain time passes by. The only copy I have is like the old nitendo one, still try to play it but nowaday it just lays there, I hoping to get more zelda games cause some of the games are really great but I can never get em XI |

Zelda is a series thats never really grabbed me. Strange as it may seem, I never really cared much about the adventures of Link in Hyrule. I've recently gotten to play it through the online fan game, Zelda Classic, a tile for tile remake of the game, except with a quest editor allowing you to use sprites and tiles to make a custom quest involving whatever you want, which was the real reason I got it. I don't know. The game, like the original Metroid, just seems... dated. It was great for it's time, but the whole thing can be overly confusing at times as to what the hell your supposed to do. However, the new Zelda game, Twilight Princess, DOES have my interest. With everything I've heard about this game, plus the promised innovations with the Wii remote, I'm excited about a Zelda game for the very first time. Aiming an arrow directly into the face of an enemy with the Wii remote? Win! |

I love the games! Unfortunatly, I've only owned The Ocarnia of Time for Nintendo 64, and was gripped by a moment of insanity and sold it in an attempt to earn enough to get the PS3 when it comes out. Oh, well, I'll get it back later. Love the series though. One thing: Somebody put in a jump button! |

The Legen of Zelda was one of the first games I finish by my own, It took me lot of time but the satisfaction of ending a game so big by myself made a great fan of the whole series; but of course that's not the only reason I have to love it, also the deep story it had (for the time) and the graphcs (also for the time). The chalenge in it was amazing too, in my opinion, those are some of the reasons which made Zelda an awesome series.
Maybe you're right DL but I was born in the time when this game had its time and sincerely I still consider it one of the best games I've played. But don't misunderstand my word, if in your opinion this was or is over estimated, well I respect that. Speaking of ToZ: Ocarina of Time, I enjoy the game too; after the original is my favorite one, the dungeons, the fight against Ganon, I love it.
Here DL we agree, I'm eager to play Twilight Princess, I want to see how is gonna be the new control in it, use it as a sword, or like bow even use it for fishing! |

Oh! Oh! I have! Well, most of it. I've read it on the internet. I thought it was pretty good. It's not as good as some mangas, but I thought Ocarina of Time was very nice. It was really cute when Link was younger, it made me ship ZeldaxLink. xD As for the later mangas, I didn't really enjoy that much. Sooo, as the games themselves, Ocarina of Time manga is far better than all the other Zelda mangas, and I recommend it to all who enjoy action filled, funny, and very cute mangas. ^^ Of course, all of the game are classics =) |

Yeah, I also think the manga of Ocarina of time is the best of all the series, a good drawing and a good story. The topic is still up, keep talking about the manga, if you want of course.

For the record TOB, I never said it was a bad game. I was a gamer around when this game was big. It's just... Well, it's still good when you consider the time it came out in, like Metroid. It's just like I said, it seems a bit dated. It's not the gameplay's fault at all. The gameplay itself is topnotch. It's just that sometimes the story can be overly confusing as to what you are supposed to do or where you are supposed to go next. Castlevania 2 had that very same problem. Great ideas and gameplay, shoddy way of knowing what the hell to do. It kinda borders the line for me of frustrating and fun. I don't want to be told what the hell I'm supposed to do as I like figuring stuff out, but I don't like not having a damn clue as to where to go or what to do. Running around until I stumble on something by dumb luck gets tedious after awhile. But again, the gameplay is great. Zelda Classic custom quests made by other people can really make you appreciate the gameplay more. When there is more of a story and things are fleshed out more, it becomes a whole lot more fun. That said, I do plan to upload the SNES "A Link To The Past" when I get a Wii. It's supposed to be one of the pinnicles of the series and now that I've given it a bit more of a try I think I might grow to like it. I think the Wii remote is going to add a lot in regards to what you can do in Twilight Princess. Actually, the Wii remote has a lot it can add to gaming in general. Swordfighting in a game can be a hell of a lot more exciting now. Screw using a controller in a Star Wars game. Now we'll be using the Wii remote to control the lightsaber! I just wish there was a way to plug it into a power source so I don't have to deal with batteries. Thankfully there will be a perherprial for that before long. Third Party companies are good at getting that stuff out quick. I've never actually read the manga. I've only just now heard of it. Like the Metroid E-Manga, these things have eluded me until recently. I may have to check this stuff out... >_> |

Maybe I didn't explain myself correctly, I was trying to said that maybe you consider this games weren't as good as most of the people says, I wasn't trying to express that you think the games are bad. So, sorry if you thought that. About the Wii control, I'm quite excited about that, I want to use the master sword! and the bow!
Yeah! the pigs! those things are just funny! but the game was too easy for me, not as a big challenge as others vidiogames, but I did enjoy the game. |
