I like Family guy, don't get me wrong, but I don't think it's as funny as it used to be. I watched it when it first came on, when I was nine, and I, being a small child, didn't understand much, but still thought it was funny. My mom didn't think it was a "good influence," and it got banned.

I got back into it when I was 12, after I moved to San Diego. The first one I watched on adult swim was the one where Peter wants to get his favorite show, Gumble 2 Gumble, back on the air, and he pretends Chris is dying to do it. I could understand alot of the humor, and I laughed my ass off.

We got the first volume of DVDs, and watched them all. I honestly never once saw a bad episode of Family Guy on those DVDs. My dad got the second volume for his birthday, and they were all hi-f*cking-larious. I was excited beyond belief when I found out about the new episodes.

Now, about those new episodes...while alot of them are funny, there was kind of a drop in quality towards the end of the season. The first one with Mel Gibson had me laughing 'till the cows came home, and then I laughed at the cows, but after the next few, it kinda...sunk in quality a little. One example was the one where Chris went to the rain forest. That whole time, I barely cracked a smile.

It picked up in quality later on, and the last few had me laughing again. I loved the ending to the season finale when Peter says about Meg "I hope she dies, that girl really deserves it."

Poor Meg...

EDIT: I still think South Park's better. Nothing on Earth will change my mind.

I've never seen the show, and I don't think I ever will. But I just L-O-V-E the song, "Can't Touch Me!" I plot to use it in a TT/A:TLA/KH Parody.

How's this for outrage: Not only did Family Guy lose the Emmy for Best Animated Series, but for some reason, South Park's "Trapped in the Closet" Episdoe was beaten by...THE SIMPSONS!?

"The Seemingly Never-Ending Story," beat a controversial episode of South Park, in which The Church Of Scientology and follower Tom Cruise were mocked. Simpsons producer Al Jean said in his acceptance speech, "This is what happens when you don't mock Scientology."

I'm sorry, but the Simpsons stopped being Emmy worthy back in 2000

Hey, that wasn't a bad episode. I thought that the layer-upon-layer of storytelling was clever.

Still...T.I.t.C should have won. That was brilliance right there.

Exactly, SHOULD have won.
Almost everyone knows about Trapped in the Closet. Ask anyone what the Simpsons episode that won and you'd get, "Ah, I didn't see it."
I think that was an insult

Well, you know Issac Hayes, the guy who played Chef? He's a Scientologist. And he quit because Matt and Trey made fun of his race.

They replaced Chef with Chef Vader lol

I think the Simpsons were a good show, I'm still a fan of them, but only of the old episodes, the new sucks.

I have seen the "Family guy" several times, and I really like it, it is a hilarious show.

Maybe I'm a Simpsons' fan but if they stop being funny I don't find any reason of keep watching them, so now maybe I could become a Family Guy's fan.

PD: in my country they change the actors and actress that gave the voices to the characters, now being sincere I never see a new episode, those sucks too much (here repeat the old episodes)
The end of the world is nothing compared with my room, don't enter there... I'm serious.

#1: It wasn't his RACE. It was his CUL--er, RELIGION.

#2: He wasn't replaced! He'll come back one day! He will, dammit!

#3: Everybody knows that, Ty.

You know the joke about Cartoon Wars, right? There's a rumor that Matt Groening and the Simpsons gang sent flowers to Matt and Trey after that episode aired, and that Mike Judge from King of the Hill said that they were "doing God's work."

Not sure if it's true or not, but dayamn, it is funny.
