We all eat. But what exactly are we eating? It's more than likely that you are buying your food at the nearest supermarket. Supermarkets support industrial farming, which is extremely unhealthy for both the farm animals, and you. To learn more about the horrors of industrial farming, watch this hilarious "The Matrix" spin-off here: http://www.themeatrix.com/index.html. Leo is the one..... Now that you have been educated about industrial farming, it's time to take action: I trust you are familiar with Starbucks? I trust you go there every once in a while for coffee or tea? Do you know what is in your coffee and tea? Industrial farm-produced milk, made painfully by sickly cows. The milk is horrible for you. It is filled with antibiotics, which can make your immune system resistant to medicine, along with many other unnatural ingrediants. I trust you'll want to improve this disgusting milk, eh? Here's your chance.... Simply send an email to Starbucks here: http://www.democracyinaction.org/dia/organ...TheMeatrix2.dwt. Or, you can leave little notecards at your local Starbucks asking them to buy better milk. You can print the notecards here: http://www.themeatrix.com/getinvolved/acti...bucks-cards.pdf Please start shopping less at industrial supermarkets, and start buying from family farms. There is one near you, There always is. Everytime you buy food, you are casting a vote. Make that vote count. |

^Not completely. Fresh food is a tad more expensive. But, simple things like buying brown eggs instead of white can make a statement. You can make a diffffeeeerrreence, peoples! Small little things can improve our environment! |

Well I was at Starbucks today and offered a free drink because of the Job fair going on there. I have to say...that was the best tasting poisonous sounding drink I've had in a while. I don't buy into all of this. Sorry but I'd like to hear both points of view on this |

... What is there to say? It's been proven that it's unhealthy. You can't just say "Oh, it's only a little unhealthy". You can still drink at Starbucks if it's soooo important for you. Leave a notecards on the counter as you leave. It's not that difficult. That, and animal cruelty is involved. They live in terrible conditions that make animal-spreading diseases easier to spread. It's your body. If you want super-antibiotics, growth-hormones, preservatives, pesticides, and manure in your body, by all means, drink Starbucks. |

All right. But only because you told me to What I'm saying is that I know people who have been drinking Starbucks everyday for years and they seem fine other than an addiction to coffee |

Obviously, I don't expect people to drop dead after a sip of Starbucks. But, in the long run, it is unhealthy for you. And I'm not saying Starbucks is evil. But if we get Starbucks to use better milk, it can have a huge impact on the US. It's not only Starbucks, it's factory foods in general. |

Well... The whole "Meatrix" concept is rather corny. But the message does come across. The food is contaminated, most food is. I do agree that the animals should not have to go through those living conditions, but the industries will never stop. I mean Amercians do like un-healthy food with more chemicals in it that natural ingredents. Look at McDonalds. And Starbucks is part of the industry that doesn't care about the pepole... It's about the pepoles money. |

So are you also saying that the milk that we get everyday from the grocery store is also contaminated...since Starbucks uses the same milk we drink? And by that we should boycott? The thing is is that Industrial farming is like the evolution of Regional farming, and farming in general is, I think, a billion dollar business. So if you basically say that we should all stop using the milk that is made Industrally...wouldn't that damage the economy? |

Yea, yea, yea. And Coca-Cola has cocaine in it and red M+M's and deodorant give you cancer. We've all heard it. I've heard about this already, you know what they do after the milking process? They boil it. Antibiotic germs and bacteria are destroyed in the process. Plus, since when is anything pure and "fresh" anymore? (Sounds like a Fabreeze commerical). Cows produce milk, we drink milk, we go to the bathroom, it gets dumped in our rivers, cows drink water, then produce milk. That's just from the water view. What about the grass they eat? Farmers use fertilizer, yea maybe from cows, but how do we know that they may be using like plant grow, with chemicals, to make grass grow faster? Then cows eat the grass with the chemical grow in it, it gets in their system, then into their milk. Nothing is ever fresh, especially now. I do agree that the animal cruelty exist within the milking process, but until someone finds a better way to milk cows, those cows are going to have to suffer, because American wants their milk. We have too many problems in American anyway, why are we worried about milk? You say that the milk is contaminated and is unhealthy for us. Well, so is a cheeseburger and a large fry. Yet, we Americans still eat that everyday. Ultimately, what I'm saying is that these big tycoon money-craving businesses aren't going to listen to you about milk contamination unless it gets out of hand to a point to where the government has to get involved. And all I say to all the people who buy "contaminated" milk is just watch your health, wash your hands, shower everyday, take in some vitamins every morning, and just live life as maxed out as you can. |
