Yeah... If you figure these out I'll give you a big thing of pudding and cake! 1. This is a 2-syllable mystery. I live in a box, if you know who I am then you got the 1st syllable. I am good for cooking foods especially soup, if you know what I am then you got the 2nd syllable. Hit me and you will receive a prize every time. 2. There was this black dog in the middle of a black road all the houses are black and the moon and stars weren't out.The power was out in this town and a guy whose headlights were out was driving down the road and almost hit the dog but he swerved just in time. How did the man see the dog????? 3. You are in a room with two doors. One leads to heaven. The other leads to hell. In front of each door is a talking parrot. One always tells the truth. The other always tells a lie. You have no idea which bird is is front of which door. You can ask one of the birds one question to correctly determine the doorway to heaven. What question do you ask and to which bird? Birdfire: you got 2, 3, and 4 wrong.... |

Some of these have been answered before but I'm just doing it as I go along. I don't answer ones that I already knew were answered, but after I answer some of these riddles I find out someone else already answered them. This is confusing...
I read that in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire! It's a spider! XD You can't fool the bookworm!
A teapot? I think I saw that on a Lunchables box.
If you're talking about the word "that" then it's two.
Your nose (I also heard that one before... on a gum wrapper. Dang, I'm weird.)
Tomorrow. Also saw that one on a gum wrapper.
IT HAS NO Es IN IT! I'm GOOD! (cough)
A shoe. (Hm... Someone told me it was a shoe. A river has a mouth? Why don't I know this?) |

Oh yeah? I'm a bookworm myself... I'm a strange contradiction; I'm new, and I'm old, I'm often in tatters, and oft decked with gold. Though I never could read, yet lettered I'm found; Though blind, I enlighten; though loose, I am bound, I'm always in black, and I'm always in white; I'm grave and I'm gay, I am heavy and light - In form too I differ - I'm thick and I'm thin, I've no flesh and bones, yet I'm covered with skin; I've more points than the compass, more stops than the flute; I sing without voice; without speaking, confute. I'm English, I'm German, I'm French, and I'm Dutch; Some love me too fondly, some slight me too much; I often die soon, though I sometimes live ages, And no monarch alive has so many pages. That's in a book! I think... |

2. It was morning. Or the sun was out. Either one. I think. 3. GAH! I forgot this one! I KNEW IT, TOO! (Oh yah, and my taste in books differs from yours. I love Meg Cabot and Wendelin van Draanen. Also I'm in love with Calvin and Hobbes comics. I'm guessing you like fantasy or supernatural stuff?) Here's a REALLY easy one: Melanie lived with her horse. On Tuesday she went to go to camp and stayed for two days. Then she came back on Tuesday. How can this happen? |

(anything that isn't a mystery or romance *gags*) 1. What does man love more than life Fear more than death or mortal strife What the poor have, the rich require, and what contented men desire, What the miser spends and the spendthrift saves And all men carry to their graves? I was waiting for some one to get the dog one! You get cookie! The horses name was tuseday! |

The end of a river (like if it leads into a bay or otherwise larger body of water) is refered to as the mouth of the river. Actually, I screwed up the riddle; I think it was actually supposed to go "what has a mouth, but does not talk, is always running, but never walks" except I didn't realize that 'till late last night. Plus, Deadringer pointed out that I could have added "has a bed, yet does not sleep." Riddle me this: Pronounced as one letter, And written with three, Two letters there are, And two only in me. I'm double, I'm single, I'm black, blue, and gray, I'm read from both ends, And the same either way. What am I? |

*gasp* you don't like mystery?! HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE SAMMY KEYES?! That is the BEST series I've ever read. What kind of cookie is it? I love chocolate. At first I thought it was wife, then love, then sympathy, then pity (which is really the same thing) then clothes, then their souls... then I thought, 'Ah, screw this riddle! I'll wait until someone else figures it out.'
Is it a three-lettered palindrome? I can only think of "mom" or "dad" but then that doesn't make any sense. |

Here's some lame ones I got out of my homework journal: The man who made it doesn't want it. The man who bought it doesn't use it. The man who uses it doesn't know it. What is it? What occurs once in a minute, twice in a moment but never in a thousand years? You have a barrel, filled to the top with water, which weighs 150 kilos. What can you add to the barrel to make it lighter? What is greater than God, more evil than the devil, the poor have it, the rich need it and if you eat it you die? An electric train is travelling north at 100mph. The wind is blowing in an easterly direction at 25mph. Which way is the smoke from the train blowing? A **** lays an egg right at the border between france and spain. Both countries are arguing over it. Who has the right? A man pushes his car to a hotel, pays the owner and pushes his car away. What is he doing? Until I am measured I am not known Yet how you miss me When I have flown What am I? When set loose I fly away Never so cursed As I go astray What am I? A big boss had a brother who died. What relation was the big boss to the brother who died? (Brother is not the answer). Jack's mother had four children. The first was called north, the second was called south and the third was called east. What was the fourth called? The more you take the more you leave behind. What is it? What always ends everything? What belongs to you but is used more by others? Lame huh? Well that's my school for ya.
