I hope this is the right spot. Well we are all entertained by the computer but some want to mess it up for us : viruses. I despise them. Because of viruses I don't have my scanner, printer, and Microsoft Word anymore. And I lost all the cool pictures I made but the files are gone! Now my brother has a virus. We've been trying to figure out how the viruses started and now we have a theory.......free games! Yeah, free games from cartoon network! That's all what my brother does on the computer; he plays their games 24/7. Now I have proof the CN is truly evil . (just kidding) Viruses ruin all the fun. Once I find out who creates these bad boys I'm gonna go and do this to them: .

That's why you need Norton AntiVirus, etc. It makes updates to new viruses being introduced on the net. BTW, please don't spam in this topic with, "VIRUSES SUX". Keep this discussion educated. ;) |

Yuck, I hate those blasted things. You could have gotten it from a number of things. Though I doubt from CN games . YOu could have gotten it from a popup somewhere , or just from a random site. My last computer was totally wrecked by a virus. I could use IE or even open My Computer and I couldn't view any of my files . I'm much more careful with my new computer .

As we all know viruses are deadly to your computer. Virses are awful. In my Sims 2, there's this cheat code and if you use it, your game and computer go whacky. |

My dad suspected they were from CN's games. It's not the first time that my brother has had a virus. It always happens when he goes to that site! He doesn't go anywhere else but cartoonnetwork.com! So my dad downloaded us a virus protection system named Panda. He's gonna put it on my computer soon but it doesn't let you go on some sites when a virus is detected. I'll get really mad if I can't come here anymore.

Yes Viruses are evil. I've lost all the files on my PC many times thanks to them, and lost Word also! Well when I first got the web back in March I was very naive about everything on it! (My family are technophobes). So yeah, I was basically surfing the web without antivirus protection, using Limewire, and being a n00b! XD Anywho, I've learned so much in the last 11 months! So no viruses or spyware infestations for ages now! XD I'd just say, be aware! |

I recently just had a terrible virus that wouldn't even let me enter windows! It'd stop me at the start up screen! I took it to be fixed, and they did fix it...but now the comp is a bit slow and messed up, even tho the system had to be completely wiped. ._. I lost everything too...luckily I backed everything up onto disc, so I'd still got all my files - but I lost a load of programmes that I now have to reinstall! It was called the Isas.exe virus. BEWARE OF IT! It'll eat the brain of your computer! |

Sorry to say this Jason but Norton anti-virus doesn't work very well, it absolutely wrecked my computer, my antie installed it and a week later it deleted ALL my microsoft core programs and then all my other programs then I was left with nothing left but the internet and norton anti-virus, then I tried downloading an episode of TT and it shut my computer down, Dad ended up buying a new one T_T Anyway, I've heard that if you have MSN if this certain person adds you to it's contact list you find out it isn't a person and it's, infact, a virus. So be careful who ya add. They're on to us :shifty: |

Uh, thanks for the warning. Well, Norton AntiVirus works on my computer. My dad loves it. However, I don't. I don't believe it's that strong to delete the virus. I mean, it deleted a few of my virus before. But a lot of the big virus cannot be cleaned by that program. So, my dad had to go on their site, and found out how to delete it. |
