Well, I've researched a bit and I've found that it is believed that water animals (well, animals in general) can sense things, and when something bad is gonna happen they turn away from the magnetic pull of the Earth (or the Gravitational pull...something like that). And so far animals are beginning to act rather strangely, like there's that Whale that's been spotted in the river/lake running through London, and in Maryport (which is a few mile from where I live) a dolphin has been spotted in the harbor and won't go. The dolphin hasn't been on the news yet because they're trying to keep it quiet so people don't crowd round it. I've always had a bad feeling, like something bad was gonna happen, but that feeling just keeps on getting stronger... I don't wanna even attempt at trying to think about what's gonna happen next...but right now my insides are churning...and that usually isn't a good sign...I feel sick and scared at the same time. So what are your opinions on this? What do you think is gonna happen next? Another tsunami? Earth quake? Volcano erruption? Another ice age? Global warming? (I predicted global warming and as far as I've heard...it's happening). Discuss here |

Eh, I don't believe in global warming. I don't thkink that the earth will end itself. Another disaster will happen, but it won't wipe out humanity. We'll do that ourselves. Something bad will happen, it always does. Every year something happens that kills alotta peple. It just happens. So just go on like you usually do and dont be supprised if you see the news and something kills alotta people. |

I think the whole 'global warming ' thing is overblown. I was watching something on PBS and they said that up where all the icebergs are there are underwater volcanoes that can generate temperatures of 7000 degrees. That's hot. Also, scientists did studies where they dug into the ice and they concluded that it was a lot hotter in the middle ages then it is now. Plus, my dad has said that this planet has gone through volcanic ages and ice ages so this may be another part of our planet's evolution. |

A whale at NJ was lost in our river too. People looked at it and stuff while rescurers were trying to make that it'lll go back into it's own enviroment. Global Warming is a possiblity of happening. If there's a big hole in our atmosphere we're in deep $^!#. Oh I'm scared now! |

There really is no need to be scared. Being scared creates panic and when you panic, chances are you die before anything big can actually happen to you. |

OK...the sun is reported to last another couple BILLION years. Are you still worried? Plus if it were to go out tomorrow...I think we would last a couple of years. A science teacher told me that it takes a couple of years for the rays of the sun to reach earth. |

I still don't feel safe I tried to imagine the world...like it wasn't there and then I realized if it wasn't there I wouldn't know because I would be dead and then I tried to imagine nothing as if I wasn't there and I tried to imagine the universe not here at all...I felt so confused and my eyes kept on snapping open. I was weird...Oh yeah, you know that whale I told you about? Well I've just found out that it's dead... And there's a rumour about finding a dead dolphin that has been washed up onto land... That gut feeling is still there and...well I don't usually feel much (it is possible to not be able to feel many emotions...the only ones I ever feel is depression and love and I've been scared once or twice) and this sudden rush of emotions is confusing me...

I honestly think there is nothing to read into a whale being seen on the Thames. Animals do weird stuff. It's natural. We all do dumb weird things. That doesn't mean that the world is coming to an end. But since we're talking about bad things happening, what do you think of the new Osama tape? |

Osama? That goat fu*ker can't do sh*t anymore. He wanted a "truce" so we could rebuild Iraq togethter because he heard that most Americans do not support the war in Iraq. ... It's the war in Iraq most people don't like, Osa-sh*t-head. We still wanna lynch you and sodomize you with a traffic cone. I'd suggest we all live for today and not give a fu*k about the future. We're all gonna die someday. Who cares if an asteroid is gonna smash into the earth in 50 years? I plan on being in the afterlife way before that! |

Wow...you don't like Osama, huh? Then again, I don't think anyone except the terrorists like Osama, and even then I have to imagine that they find him REALLY annoying. I find the 'truce' completly absurd and I trust Osama as far as I can throw him. I was completely appalled though when I heard Star Jones had said that she doesn't trust him but would like to hear what he'd like to say. If Mrs. Jones is in here, let me tell you Star, something tells me it would involve the pouring of blood from your body, every body in America, probably Canada and Israel. Cause you know whenever a terrorist wants something, they're going to mention Israel and the Jews. Man, I love it when celebrities try to sound like they know more than they do. Star Jones advice about Bush and Osama and I quote: "One of them has to put it back in their pants and zip up." First off, I don't think anything Osama wears has a zipper. Second, that is the dumbest thing I have heard come out of your mouth. Third, you don't trust Osama but you'd want to hear what he has to say. I would like to strike me second point from the record. THAT was the dumbest thing you could say. You can't negotiate with terrorists. Do that and...well, to put it simple: If you give a mouse a cookie...he's going to want some milk. |

I actually support Osama as I am a muslim. About the animal thing, I believe it was as well writen in the Quran that they can sense when any sort of disaster is coming. And about any sort of disaster to come...well, I'm living life as it is. I do think about the future, what my life may turn out as and if any precaution is needed, but mostly I'm not that worried of the future. I'm happily living through today. We are to die of course, there's a certain time for all of us, but we shouldnt really pay heed to that but instead just live on. |

crazygurl, I assume you don't support the action that he led an attack that killed thousands of people and left thousands of people spouse/child/parent-less in less than one day? :-S I respect the fact that you have grown up to support a figure that is important to your country/religion, but I, (along with all if not most of America/other parts of the world), have a hatred for him running unbelievably deep. As for the world, it's not natural disasters that will eventually destroy societies...we'll destroy it ourselves it we don't have a major wake-up call. The problem is that we (and I can be guility of this myself) are too greedy and selfish. Our whole goal in life is to "get mine". Until we learn to give more than get, and actually care about values, I don't see us going anywhere but down. |

I agree 100% on that one Jason. But I still think that natural disasters will give that extra push to destruction. I don't know why but every time I look out my window some sort of angry, bad emotion seems to come. It's almost as if I'm angry at what the world and we have become. Like Jason said, everyone seems to be "get mine, me, me, me" (I added a little bit). But I don't think it replies to ALL people, I mean some people (like me) don't care about life and are just waiting for death. Others...well, see above. Uhm...question, I know there's been a lot of disasters but I'm not quick enough to keep up with them all...
Who is Osama? *Gets death glares from all members* *shrinks* Not my fault... |
