So, no one better deny this, because if you do, then you'd be lying to yourself, to your fellow web surfers, and you probably have low self-esteem. How many of you attempt to do your homework with that nice big shiny internet worthy computer sitting right in front of you, and you suddenly have the urge to get online and on the message board? I have...multiple times. It's why I'm failing Algebra II. So, why not make a homework help thread so that we can help each other with research projects, book reports, or just good ole' algebra? Thatta way, we get our homework done, and still be on the internet! Pretty clever huh? So, if any of you have a suggest, link, or know how to work a certain problem post it here. And someone may actually help you. And if someone actually does know something, please PM them the suggestion. They'll get it faster. Remember 600 heads are better than 1! Here's a suggest for those research projects you have. Go to www.itools.com for the perfect research stuff on the web! So, here's my little project...thing. I'm studying Transcendentalism in American Literature. And I need to find five recent songs, movies, stories, comics, TV shows, whatever that has came out recently (Like from 2000 til now) to fit these five catergories. Noconformity, self-reliance, free thought, confidence, and importance of nature. So, if you guys can like suggest some things that like fit those words and PM me would probably be the best, I'll be on the internet more often than usual! deadline is Wed. Jan. 18th. |

^Everything on the news is sad now. =( For those of you who touched on the Shakespeare project thing, I found a focus, and that's his play "A midsummer night's dream". I still need a thesis statement though... |

You're writing an essay or a research project? Oh well, doesn't matter. Pick three main ideas that you want to focus on, from the play of course. And then form the statement with those three ideas, a like so. "The reason that Midsummer Night's Dream was an important play of the Shakespearean time was that it was written by Shakespheare, it has the word "dream" in it, and it's just plain cool like that." I don't know your three ideas, but you put them in the end of the statement like the above. But note, that was just an example.
If I wanted to do that, I would have just written a fan fiction by myself. Oh, and I turned it in already, I mostly used Teen Titan comic books. And a few of my favorite songs, it worked. I got a B |

Tricksterchild and I are doing a ROGATE project together. If anyone doesn't know what ROGATE is, it is a research project for honorable students and then you have to make a 10 minute speech on the subject in front of 2000 people! We decided to do Television content. For Television content we need a survey for your grades if you watch shows that has "inappropriate content". We need to know if grades slip because of the tv. Or even a survey/poll if you have violent thoughts when you watch tv. I was thinking I could post these surveys here since there's over 600 members here and it be a huge help to our research. Maybe even a topic about what shows you guys watch the most (I know it's gonna be TT). Do I have permission to post a topic? Which survey would be the best for the project? I think this would benefit alot for us. |

I suggest two things: Pick one or the other. 1. Create a new topic and put the survey there. 2. PM random people who would make prime and honest survey-ers the survey. |

Sorry about the double post. I'm doing a report about Martin Luther and I need to add on how he had an impact on things during his time (1400s-1500s), and how he affected us today and in the future. The report is due tomorrow. o_o |

Well let's just say without him a lot of people in our society would still hate people from their difference of their skin. Now black people have more rights. Without his leadership blacks wouldn't have been able to run in office, vote, or even sit at the front of the bus. Now things have been cooling off and less and less people are racist. I've never really encountered someone who actually said a really harsh racist comment to me so as time goes by people will remember Martin Luther King and hardly anyone would become racist. I'm not saying that racisim will ever stop. Opinions don't change quickly and as long as people are different there will be racisim. But our society has changed so maybe racism can come to an end. Did I help enough? Because I learned alot about MLK in Social Studies class since it's black history month. He really did contribute to alot of people. If you have a friend who is of color, then imagine that you couldn't even talk to him/her because they were black/asian/hispanic/etc. I recommend you to watch the movie Mississippi Burning. It really does describe what racism was like around MLK's day. Although it's rated R it really is educational in a way. Hope you do well in your report. |
