Regardless of how many allies leave, the United States is still going to win this war.

Just something I feel like sharing: In the summer of 1944, over 100,000 men lost their lives

Where in the Pacific or in Europe, or both combined?

And I think that this is a new Vietnam

Combined

How do you think it is a new Vietnam? Did John Kerry and John Murtha tell you that?

No, it's a comparison

A regular army (the US) who relives in air suport, fights a guerrilla movement (Vitetcom back then and the Insurgents now) who uses, basicaly ambush tactics and infludes terror on the local population.

At least Kerry didin't went AWOL
And the soviets dispite of their casualities defeat the Germans in the last stage of war, I don't remember seen a US flag over the Reichstag

Well, I don't think it's a modern day Vietnam. For one thing, a lot more people were dead. We've been into this for over three years and so far 2503 (As of 11:42PM, June 20th 2006) soldiers have died.
58000 died all throughout Vietnam.
I don't see the comparison.
I'm not sure if this is similar, but the media gets almost orgasmic when bad news comes out of Iraq

Oh, and there's no draft

Yes that happens a lot.
It doesn't matter.
Saddam will be found guilty and he will be executed.
And something tells me Rosie O'Donnel will shed a tear

May I ask a question? Sorry to intrude btw >.>

No one in my family seems to have said much about Iraq lately and I haven't heard much about Britain in Iraq either.

Is our country going to pull out of Iraq soon? If they have, then when did they? If they haven't, then what to you think would be the consequences of doing so? Would it make an awful lot of difference or not much? And if they are going to, then when?

Look, there is always news about "Plans to withdraw troops by 2007" or something like that but then we don't hear anything else out of them. We won't know anything for sure until we hear it from Tony Blair and/or George W Bush

We have to look at the facts:
1) This is just one soldier
2) This does not reflect the actions of the entire US Armed Forces
3) A charge does not mean that you're guilty-I had a teacher who was arrested and charged only to find out that he hadn't had sex with a student

I'd like for it to end soon, but I doubt it's going to happen.
