So far in my house there's been a big discussion on the war against Iraq. Mostly because my big brother (Simon, now you don't have to ask 'which one out of the ten has went to Iraq?') has went to battle there and there has been alot of killings too so we're really worried. I'm not sure if my brother will ever come back. Really I'm as scared as...as...the most worried person in the universe here XD So does anyone think it'll end anytime soon? And if not, when do you think it'll end? Has anyone you know gone to Iraq? Discuss here |

Interesting to see a post like this but no unusual. Satan's Spawn, let me just say that your brother is a really brave person and he's doing a good thing over there. In my eyes, the war is a good thing, it's just not being handled properly. But Iraq is doing better than anyone in the far left ever hopped (or wished) it would be. |

Going into wars are very dangerous. I fear for my friends' relatives that were sent to Iraq. Practicly every week we hear something in the news about people dying over there. Like what Shadow Avenger said, they're really brave to go cause they know that they may never come back home to greet their family again. Satans Spawn I pray that you're brother will be ok and all the soldiers fighting at Iraq. |

I don't hate the Iraq War. I don't hate the fact that the rest of the world is trying to reform Iraq so that they don't pull their extremist crap on us again, i.e. World Trade Center, London bombings, etc. What I do dislike is the people devising the war. It's not being done right. A little off-topic, but I am praying, PRAYING that we (America) will put back a Democrat in '08. Our country can't handle another Republican as President (Sorry to republicans, but it's how I feel) for a long time. |

The British are fighting there too and i know someone whos gone to war in Iraq as well. But something tells me the Government and its allies in other countries don't give a rats-ass about the PEOPLE in Iraq, but rather the oil. And i know the UN said that will leave the oil for the Iraqi, but you can't trust them as far as you can throw them. Theres gonna be nothing reformed about the Iraqi government and the second europe and the so-called superpower pulls out, it won't be long before it goes back to the same way it was before, like all thos other Arab countries. There rumours going about that Briton and several other European countries plan to pull out soon. |

Honestly, I don't think so. President Bush said four more years in Iraq. And I support the war in the country. That's all. But this is just me, the Iraqs will tell us to leave when they want us to leave. ^^; |

I support the war for their freedom but I dont support the republican party and probably wont for the rest of my life. As for the war itself, I have cousin who just came back from iraq and he was even stationed in Fallujah. |

Your cousins are brave and honourable people. I support the war and if I were an American I would vote Republican. The Iraqi elections were a success as are teh training of police and military forces. People keep saying that Bush is the worst president of all time and I strongly disagree with them and point out that you can't really judge a president's term(s) until 20 after he has left office. I don't think Iraq is the new Vietnam-there will be no draft and Iraq and the middle east will be better because of this war. |

Why did Bush declare war against Iraq? He claimed they had nuclear weapons. Guess what? They don't. You ruined a whole bunch of innocent lives for NOTHING. Okay, you took Sadam off. Now hold and election there, find a new and better ruler for them and get the heck out. Really, it's all about the oil. Instead of keeping a steady economy and trading for oil, he had to go to war. Instead of using his money to help stop the war in Palestine/Isreal/Whatever you call it, he had to waste it on, gasp, another war! I hope it ends this year. I hope Bush makes SOME good use of this authority. I am a democrat, but I know he's most likely misrepresenting the republican party.\ "Nuclear", not "nucyaler". |

It was not only Bush who said Saddam had WMD's but it was also the following: The CIA, Russian Intelligence, MI6 (Brittish Secret Service), CSIS (Canadian Secret Service), Egyptian Intelligence, Jordanian Intelligence, NSA, Bill Clinton, Hilary Clinton, John Kerry, John Edwards, Ted Kennedy and the Kurds. Now, all these people said that he had WMD's...and they also said that he was going to hit the US...Bush made the right call. |

He got them pissed because he didn't get 'UN approval'. Like that's any good. Saddam was bribing the UN. That's what got the allies pissed off. But they can't be all, 'We knew there were no WMD's' because like I said, they said there were. |

hmmmm, good point and there own intelligence agencies knew about them too. Well I suppose we should wait till like 29 years after the war when the secret files get released, we'll know everything then. |

The thing is, most of the left wing pundits (Franken, Moore) forget about that-or they just ignore it-and constantly say that Bush lied. It seems that they forget about Clinton (or any Democrat) mentioning WMD's in his term. They also forget that he bombed Baghdad in 1998 (During the Lewinsky scandal) because Saddam would not let weapons inspectors in. And...it happened less than 10 years ago. But you know, Bush is a Republican...and they're evil, so...yeah. |
