Done the samething but I rather not talk about it.

But I promised myself that I'll never drink. When I turn 21, I will never touch a single acholic drink.

Sorry if I mispelt anything.

It's not like drinking is bad. My family drinks at parties and stuff and I intend to do the same.. but when it goes overboard, then it could get nasty.

That's the whole point of drinking... as an adult (my country's constitution says so) i can drink... and i do it... before you shoot me, listen to my point of view...

I know that drinking is bad, after the 5º glass of anything you tend to do some stupid pranks... but you can stop drinking at the 2º glass... it's pretty simple, just saying stop to yourself... and if someone says to you "wuss... or any other stuff" tell him or her to go to hell or something like that ...

That's the difference between know how to drink and have a great time and how to screw a situation thanks to great amounts of alcohol...

Now, see, I don't drink. I probably never will in my life. I have no desire to get drunk all night and look stupid just because some people will find it funny. Sure this causes me a lot of problems with my friends and right now they really don't want anything to do with me. So damn them and what they think. Sure, I'm their buddy, but I'm not going to be their drinking buddy.
I always hope for the best...experience unfortunately has taught me to expect otherwise

I am with Shadow Avenger. I have never drank and probably never will have the desire to. I'll just stick with my Coca-Cola, thank-you very much.

Yeah I'm never drinking again! I tasted it and it smelled and tasted bad! I'll just stay with Coke at the moment.

Drinking is Badbadbad, so are drugs.

I simply don't see how chugging terrible smelling AND tasting liquid down your throat for a high is enjoyable. You get drunk. You lose your conscience. You do things that you will horribly regret; getting [a girl] pregnant, for one.

If people try to drink to forget about problems, guess what? When you wake up, the problem will still be there, and guess what? It will also be WORSE. Why? It'llbe worse because you can't even remember what you did after drinking, you will be IN JAIL for drinking (if under 21), and you will have a HANGOVERRR. Not. Pretty.

Sorry, this is a subject I feel strongly about.

Don't even get me started on drugs.
nil magnum nisi bonum.
enjoy the moment.

Funny thing is the way they make it in the movies is like this:

1. Guy facing serious problems, goes and gets drunk
2. Wakes up the next morning with a girl in his bed
3. Goes through some wackiness
4. In the end of the movie he gets married to the girl XP

Now the guy may have had a happy ending but what we gotta remember is that life is no movie. Strange things can happen but they wont always turn out to be right.

People go towards alcohol because it gives them a sort of overwhelming feeling especially when theyre depressed and they just cant stop themselves unless they contain some self control. Why go towards alcohol? Why consume urself in vile drinks to eliminate ur depression? Why not go another way? For me, my alcohol is reading fanfictions, watching animes, listening, anything to soothe me. Anything I like.

At certain times when I'm feeling down, going through problems, I drink........Miranda!!! Lol, I have never drunk alcohol. You can say I found different things to help me.

Adults or mature young adults are the ones who are basically allowed to drink because they are more trusted with self control but not all of them. You should really think about it, what are the consiquences? If you are unable to stop urself, you enjoy alcohol but still contain self control, then you are allowed to drink but you must stop when you know you're on the verge of getting drunk. Everyone else who can, must stop!

Just think, you may think tht drinking is harmless but it can get you in reall serious deep s*** (densors make a forum so much safer =P)

like Yorsh01, someone is forcing you into it? First say buh bye to the person and then s/he may go to hell LOL XP

Good for you, Jason. Of course, I'm only 12, so what do I know?

Reading all those stories about underage people doing drugs, I wonder: did they ever pay attention to those school programs they do? I mean, every year, we have at least five different groups telling us not to do drugs. (by the time I go to high school, my pen pal says, they're going to be talking about some OTHER interesting things but I'm going to shut up about that now.)

Trust me, you don't even know the half of it. I'm not even in high school yet (I'll be a freshman next year), and there are so many kids already on crack, drinking, and even taking it so far as having sex with other kids. Horrible, isn't it?

Well, anyway, kudos to you, Jason! That was a great choice. I'm glad nothing bad happened to you. Just goes to show that fitting in is not the most important thing in life. 'Cause now, those people that were 'fitting in' are fitting in with marks on their records. Don't get me wrong, though, I wish that wouldn't have happened to your friends, but life's lessons aren't always earned the easy way. All morals aside, you did the right thing.

I honestly have no desire to ever drink or be involved with that kind of thing. The smell has never appealed to me in any way, and I almost get sick when I do smell it. I'm not against drinking, but I don't want anything to do with it.

Weirdly, my school doesn't have any DARE programs like that.

One time when I was 9, my dad, my sister, and I went to this one holiday dinner place. (My mom and my other sister were in another state for volley ball) We were eating and they were passing out wine and stuff like that.

Everyone had two cups- one for juice or something like that, and a wine glass. They didn't take out the wine glasses for children, oddly enough. My dad took my wine cup and poured in hardly any wine. There was HARDLY anything in it, and he said it was alright if I drank it.

I don't know why I didn't drank it, probably because my mom was an alcholic back then, fearing I would be an alcholic, or fearing that sour and bitter taste go down my throat. I really didn't know what it tasted like, and I never did. And when I kept on saying I didn't want to drink it, my dad said, 'It's alright if you drink it.' But I kept refusing. Then my sister's friend offered her some wine. (About the amount I had) She drank it. (She was 11 at the time) Then my dad got pissed off at her.

Ya...I really had no idea why I didn't drink it, or why my dad got mad at my sister. Maybe because he wasn't there with her. And why I just said this, I don't know why. Maybe because you can read more stories of those alchohol problems or fears. Probably when I'm 21, I'll have one drink here and there, or I probably won't drink at all. Trust me, my mom had to go to rehap for one month. And without seeing her for ONE whole month just shattered my heart. And I don't think you wanna be the one in rehap.
