I know there's already a Harry Potter thread, but this movie desearves it's own discussion.

Just a warning, this talkback may contain spoilers.

My friends and I went to go see this last night at 9:45pm. All other times were sold out. We had to get there three hours before the movie started to buy our tickets, and we waited in line for about 45 minutes. Overall, it was worth it.

This was definately the best one out of the four. Although I was disappointed on how much of the movie was changed/skipped from the book. But I do understand that they had to make some cuts to fit it under a reasonable amount of time.

Fred and George were hilarious, I could not stop laughing at those two. The effects were amazing! I love the dragon and the merpeople scenes.

Eh, can't really think of anything else at the moment. I'm still trying to get over the awesomeness of this movie.

"Oh my God... I've killed Harry Potter!" XD

Also, too bad they had to cut Ludo Bagman, Winky, and Dobby. =(

Whoa, Sam! You saw the movie the exact same time as I did! The last show right?
I had a basketball game at seven and had to stay all after school so I couldn't watch it until the very last one.

Fred and George were definitely hilarious! The aging potion and then one of them asking Angelina to go to the ball while they were in study hall for Snape!
I couldn't stop laughing!

Who thought Voldemort looked freaking scary? Scary as in...extremely awesomely scary in the good way to where you exactly imagined it in your mind?

I thought of him bald with black clothes, but I thought he would have glowly eyes.
That was awesome....

Then Cedric dies, UGH! I cried...I'm sorry I'm sensitive! And then being so into the movie I couldn't help but cry! Then Harry started crying over Cedric, then Cedric's dad starting crying over Cedric, then I started crying over Cedric!
Ehm...moving on...

Who thought Dumbledore was a little out of character? I mean seriously, Dumbledore is suppose wise and calm and realistic, when he suddenly grabbed Harry after his name was called in the Goblet of Fire and he was in that trophy room, that was so not like Dumbledore at all! (I miss Richard Harris!)

I realize that the actor was probably feeling that Dumbledore was losing his cool because suddenly everything is out of control, yea okay, I agree, but not so early in the movie, Gosh! Voldemort didn't even rise yet! Don't take it out on Harry!

And after watching this movie, I was very curious...

What's Hogwarts' interprative dance when they visit other schools?
(When the two schools were introduced, they both went into some kind of dance)

Anyways, there's my two cents. I may give you four cents later.

I give this movie ***** stars!

Especially the computer graphics...

Dang, you beat me to it!

Ok, just a note, i go to Mugglenet and The Leaky Cauldron ALOT. So, I've seen alot of clips from the movie before i went...which i went to the 3:25 show!

Hooray for Stanislav Ianevski(Viktor Krum....hehe...inner-fan girl...)

God, this is the first movie i cried in. I just...tears pouring down my face crying.

Blue, SamRH, you guys said everything else i wanted to say!

The Score was great, infact, at school, i sang "Do the Hippogriff" (the first rock song at the Yule Ball) in ALL of my classes. People were looking at me like: Dude, what ARE you doing?

as Blue said, 5 stars. Hands down.

Yes the movie was total awsomeness  . Too bad they didnt put Dobby or Winky or even when Harry won the Triwizard winnings that he gave to the Weasley twins. It was sold out on the opening date so I had to see it Sat. morn but it was all worth it. Plus the fans dressed up for the occassion. Well done!

I totally agree with Sam and Bluemage. The movie was awesome!

And Fred and George fighting and Neville saying "OMG I killed Harry Potter!" was absolutely halarious!

The graveyard scene was pretty cool, but Voldemort didn't really look that scary....except for the fact that he was green and had no nose. :p

I, also give it a ***** stars!

Hmm....

They excluded like SO MUCH. It was sort of butchered, come to think of it. I liked it, but it was butchered. They didn't include SPEW, they made Dumblydore too uptight, and they modified things too much.

Overall, it was okay.
nil magnum nisi bonum.
enjoy the moment.

Agreed. They took so much out of it. Like there was supposed to be a giant spider in the maze and it was supposed to injure Harry. Also there was supposed to be Studts (or something like that) in the maze as well. And wasn't there like a Pheonix song when Harry and Voldemort attacked at the same time?

Ah well, other than that it was cool. :slade:

^There was a Phoenix song, actually. They also got rid of the elves (drunk Winky! come back!) which I didn't like, and the maze walls didn't cave in on people, there were ACTUAL THREATS in there. I got really angry when they didn't include the sphinx.
nil magnum nisi bonum.
enjoy the moment.

I agree with Spazz and Satans Spawn. The movie was awesome, but they cut out so many parts that I wanted to see.
I thought the Twizard Tournament was where Harry got to know every contestant better, and Cedric was a close friend. In the movie, they made it look like they were all competing for their lives or something, and they'd do anything to win or something like that. It was a bit frustrating.
Ron and Hermione's SPEW arguements weren't in it!! I wanted to see that. That would have been hilarious.
But I have to say Voldemort's face was totally cool, and the part where the "Priori Incantem" happened was cool, too.

HP was ok. But I love "Can You Dance Like A Hippogriff" :worship:  They cut out a lot of the good scenes though. :annoyed: But now due t othe movie, I'm in love with Voldie. :meditate: Also, I love the part when Nevile say "I killed Harry Potter!" and the part with Moaning Myrtle (hehe) My rating: ****

I think it's pretty obvious that they would cut that out. Otherwise the Priori Incantartum scene wouldn't be that good if Harry was just lying on the ground like that.

I really hate the beginning of this movie. Why would they exclude the Qudittch World Cup? If they left that in, I think the movie would have been fine.

I loved that moive! I went to go se it 4 times and I would see it more if I had enough money.... Anyways I can see why they rated it PG-13. Not only the death of Cedric, but Ron cussing. I enjoyed the movie and I can't wait for the next one.
