I'm pretty sure I'm not the only guy on here who likes football. I know there's at least one guy who plays. Patriots/Panthers is on, and Ben Roethlisberger just threw a touchdown to Hines Ward in the Steelers/Texans game. Discuss?

I'm a football player!

I play for Rancho Cordova Highschool! The Undefeated champs for 10 years and we're going to crush 2005 leagues!

Congrats DNA. My high school team kinda, um, sucks. My brother, he's on the coaching staff, he's in denial. Think that the Clairmont High Chieftans are the best team in football. Tch. Idiot. My friends on the team all say the defense sucks.

Patriots lost. Chargers lost. If the Raiders can win against the Chiefs, then I'll be one very happy boy.

As of right now, I'm playing Freshman Football. Our team, the West Milford Highlanders, are 1-1 so far, and the Varsity Team's 2-0 YEAH!!! :winner:

Hey, Da Bears kicked Lions' booty this weekend. Vikings and Packers don't look too good right now either, which means NFC North might be up for grabs. So maybe this year us Chicago fans will really have something to cheer about.

Go Bears!!!

Okay, despite the fact that this sport rocks, but what is up with 'gay' team names? Jeez!!

Hey, they're a helluva lot better than baseball names. What the hell is a Dodger?

Anyway, I really am surprised by the Packers, Vikings not so much. I knew the offense would struggle without Randy Moss. He was one of three offensive threats they had. As for the Bears, I think they might seriously have a shot at the title, especially with Rex Grossman out of the picture.

Now what I'm wondering is the AFC South. It could be pretty tight between the Colts and Jaguars.

Da Bears got their butts handed to them by Cincinatti, so I'm not entirely certain they're going to be of a caliber to go against real contending teams. But with both Green Bay and Minnesota in melt down, and Detroit in chaos, there's a good chance we can take the division. They had a bye this week, so hopefully they'll be in good shape to take on Cleveland.

As for Dodger, the term comes from 19th-early 20th Century slang. It originally meant someone who was sly or artfully sneaky. In other words, cunning. The term has fallen out of use in that context, and the baseball team of that name is really the only place where it is still in use (at least in the US; I think it may still be in use in the UK).

Yep I like football (I'm a tom boy)
But since most people on here are American, Austraillian ect you probably wouldn't have heard of the team I support, it's Manchester United (Man U for short)
But I don't think I like football as much as baseball (even though I don't watch baseball I still love to play it)
Glory, glory Man United! Glory, glory Man United! Glory, glory Man United! Glory, glory Man U!
