Horror: John Carpenters "The Thing". There will never be any better. It can be seriously spooky in some parts, even after repeated viewings, and the special effects hold up to the day. Plus, Kurt Russell is just plain great. Sequel: "Aliens". By far the greatest sequel of all time. Don't give me any T2 crap. While that was great, no movie stands up to repeated viewings as much as this Cameron Classic. For Utter Badd@$$edness: "Robocop". You just get the biggest feeling that you are watching a half man and half machine reach badness unfathomed by anything else other than the original Terminator. There will never be another scene as bad@$$ as the one where Robocop tosses Bodicker through the windows as he reads him his miranda rights. Plus the movie is just so damn quotable. Cartoon: "Beavis And Butthead Do America". Come on, you know it was hilarious. Action: "Rambo First Blood". I dare you to find a more testosterone soaked movie. No joke. Cheesy cool Movies: The Evil Dead movies and Army of Darkness. I am not kidding. Bruce Campbell reminds me of Jim Carrey, except he is more of a crazy cool kinda guy than a wack job. A hilarious wack job, mind you, but still a wack job. Comedy: "Monty Python and the Holy Grail". There is no equal, not from Carrey or anyone else. Even my mother, who hates british humor, loved the movie. Not to mention the black knight and rabbit scenes were priceless. As you can see, I have a lot of absolute favorites. It just felt wrong and to confined to try and narrow it down to one. |

Edward ScissorHands! Edward Scissorhands! Oh, not because of Depp--I just love Tim Burton movies (yay for music by Danny Elfman!). I like just about all of the movies that had Jim Carey in them, but the best humor/parody movies have to be Robinhood Men in Tights and The Princess Bride XD Ugh, there are a lot of other movies I like, I just can't name them off the top of my head at the moment... |

Man, I have a BUNCH of favorite movies, but jeez my all time favorite makes me sound like a love-sap. But my favorite movie is Dirty Dancing. Make fun of me all you want! But you can't deny that Dirty Dancing is THE best all time favorite 80's movie ever! I LOVE that movie! Don't get me wrong, though. I do love the occasional Pirates of the Caribean, the Curse of the Black Pearl, The Crucible, Incredibles, Lion King, Sixth Sense, Friday the 13th, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Shrek, Shawshank Redemption, Planet of the Apes, Back to the Future, the Breakfast Club (another 80's classic). And another movie or rather "DVD" I've been watching is "Strongbad's 100 E-mails" If any of you have not visited homstarrunner.com then... you are punkus. |
