JakMakai is right you know. They can't copy everything word for word from a book into a movie. It would be too long.

Still, as long as the characters and the plot are the same, it would start making sense.

Thank you, Typhoon.

One of the reasons why i liked the PoA movie better(only slightly) than the book, was because i thought it flowed better...but, then again, i haven't read the 3rd book in a while(i lent it to my aunt. I've been begging her to read it, hehe) Also because of the...eh..."little moment" between Ron and Hermione. :shifty:

But i think the only movie that'll be longer than 2 or 3 hours would be the 7th one. Because i think that the 7th book will be maybe 1,100 pages(i don't know, i'm crazy like that) If this happens, then the 7th movie might be a four hour movie with an intermission.

(i'm in a better mood! Yay!)

The thing about them cutting parts out in the movies is that they added things in that were in the books, but never explained them.

In Prisoner of Azkaban they never tell you who exactly Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs are, which it does in the book. Also, in the film, it never tells you why in the name of hell a stag saves him, I thought that was a pretty important story point.

Well, maybe they did that so then people would read the books, thus boosting sales.

Or maybe it was the director's style to do that.

The people who see the movies will find out anyway in movie 5(Snape's worst memory)

SPOILERS!! IF YOU HAVE NOT READ BOOKS 4-6, DO NOT READ THIS POST! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Yeah. I really liked GoF. It was my favorite book in the series! Yay! I thought that HBP was okay, the ending was so sad! I ACTUALLY cried! Grr... I hope that they go back to school next year. He said that he wasn't going back to school in book five, but he should! Damn Snape... :chair: That would really suck if they didn't go back.

GoF is rated PG-13 because of the end. Character death, blood, violence...yeah. And I can't believe they took out Dobby, Winky, and the Durslys...well, such is a price to pay for a good movie, I suppose...

I guess they're tired of the House elves and I had been thinking that the movie shouldn't have the Dursleys. Anyway, I haven't seen any promos YET, but still I can't wait to see it.

May i inquire as to why you hate it?

I liked the PoA movie. It had a good feel to it(Raven and the Beast boy, if you want to discuss the movies, IM me on AIM).

I LOVED GoF(the book). I thought it was one of the best books out of the series...so far, HBP and PoA are tied right now.

That is what I am trying to say. THAT, is why I didpise the POA movie!

Uh....check out Mugglenet. They have SO much news on it. There was an international trailer a while back, and the US trailer should be released on September 16th(along with Corpse Bride in select citys(the corpse bride is in select citys...i think).

And septermagicmage, maybe they want to make more money with the books(so maybe people will read them more and it'll get more popular or something, or just thats the directing style...i don't know which)

Or, maybe they just didn't want to make the movie too long or something. I dunno. There's probably a good reason for it. They wouldn't just do that to tick us off, would they?

No...they wouldn't.

They're probably thinking about the little kids who see this..(maybe not so many now) and the teenagers who see this who aren't Harry Potter fanatics. If you weren't a Harry Potter Fanatic, would YOU want to sit through a 4 hour movie?

I would, but I'm a fanatic, so...

I don't think anyone that works on the movies gets book money if they don't work on the books. Plus the movie fans(that don't read the books) don't know they are missing anything.

I have seen advertisement in theaters and Corpes Bride comes out Sep. 13 in select cities.

Actually, the Trailer for GoF comes out TOMORROW at 9 AM EST on AOL Moviefone, check it out when you all get home from school. Or whenever..

You would think that all the ranting of people going: "THEY CUT SO MUCH OUT!!111" on some forums, that they would know by then that they missed something.

And i know that they don't get money. But seriously, would you want to sit through a four hour movie? I mean, like i said, i would if it was Harry Potter, but the only other four hour movie i sat through was Gods and Generals(which was surprisingly good, actually)

But if it's a movie you don't enjoy, i wouldn't want to sit through four hours of...The Grudge or some stupid movie like that.
