The Arm Of Retribution

"Or do they see you as evil?" James asked pointedly pressing on the point he felt the man and revealed. "The archmage and his cousin also?" |
"Should you ever feel agony for the loss of your Brothers due to enemy guns, bear through it with a stern smile and let your enemy know that you will get into combat soon enough. His judgement cannot be avoided! Should your charge falter under heavy resistence, roar your devotion in His name and amount whatever strength you have left at one enemy point and crush it utterly! Let the enemy feel your pain by turning their's into agony! Should you lay beaten and dying on the field, laugh with pride for even in death our enemies will fear us, leave them with a scar that will haunt them till the time of their retribution!" - Chaplain Valorus

"They see me as evil, and Drakkon as evil for following me. They will likely judge you all the same way." said Mordain as they moved south. |
|
"Stand against me if you must, for of course you will. Conflict is just another part of this flawed reality. You need to cling to your concepts and purposes, your feeble honour and glory. None of it serves any purpose in the end. And the end draws close." - Krodalis Thaendil. "It really is amazing; she killed Kelan Wealer, not that I am complaining, but then the order welcomed her as their new leader. It makes one wonder if I were to ram a blade down her throat, would the monks then follow my commands?" - Mordain Thaendil. One of the Last Guardians. Suck it.

Nathaniel could see that the Realmer thought what he had asked was some probing question and that he had showed his hand. Nathaniel only ever said what he wanted to say, he could not be tricked into revealing things or caught out. The mage said "The disease won't cause their deaths. I'll be very clear about that, I am going to kill them all, each and every one of them. I will not stand idly by while they hunt people who are loyal to Weissland. I will do everything in my power to do what is best for Weissland." |

There are older and more powerful things in the world that have faced me and underestimated my resolve, to their end." - Nathaniel Drakkon "For what is dead may never die, but rises again, harder and stronger!" - Aeron Damphair, a Song of Ice and Fire. The group made quick progress far south and slipped easily out of the forest. They would make a large arc in their movement to keep a great distance between themselves and the monks. Wyrillyn looked to the sky as they walked. Dark clouds blanketed the land, with thunder rolling and raging within. Krodalis was close; the old elf could feel it. Moments later, heavy rain began to fall. The thin layer of snow upon the ground would be quickly swept away. --Leaving Turschen-- --Entering... Not sure what to call the place, really. Any thoughts? We're just south of Turschen now, heading east-- |

((Well, judging from the map that puts us heading towards Lekath. How about either Turshen or Lekath grasslands?)) |

One of the monks approached Kelan and Laiya and reported, "Kelan, they are heading around us; they must have sensed our presence." Kelan nodded. "Let them wander. We will strike when we are ready." Laiya looked at him and the odd look that was coming over him. "Are you sure you are pursuing the best course of action?" she asked him again. "What about the Dark One? What about that threat?" "We cannot trouble ourselves with that now," said Kelan. "This is our number one priority." "We can use Mordain, and that mage," said Laiya carefully. "We can use them to help stem the tide of evil that may come over this world. Think of the greater good, Brother." Kelan rose and stared down at the armored female monk and shouted, "No! This must end now! We must put a stop to this!" And with that, Kelan shouted, "The time is now!" and winked out. "Aracen," whispered Laiya as the other monks around her teleported as well, and, closing her eyes, she followed suit. --Leaving Turschen Woods-- --Entering Lekath Grasslands-- |
