--Enters from Asulien--

It had been a long flight, taking almost a day, but Mordain finally arrived at the site where he would lay Shaellana to rest. It was an area on the north-west side of the Vilyn Woods, south of Nairio. A calm slope fed down from the woods into the vast, open plains below. Flowers were plentiful in the summer, nestled comfortably amongst the long, green grass. At noon, the sun would shine from behind the trees onto the plains below, allowing the trees to provide the perfect shade from which to admire the magnifficent site. At least, that's how Mordain had felt about this place the last time he was there.

Long ago, Mordain and Shaellana had come to this place. They were young, then. Their love was in full bloom. It was well before Mordain's transformation, before the war, before any troubles had cursed their lives. Shaellana had leaned towards him that day and whispered into his ear. He had not forgotten her words. He doubted he ever would.

"You know, Mordain. I wish we could spend eternity here."

And so you shall, Shaellana.

Carefully, he laid her body on the grass at the foot of the slope. He turned and raised his hands, employing his magic to shift the earth at the foot of a beautiful, perfectly grey rock that gracefully emerged from the ground. He made the hole with care, shifting the earth to either side and leaving it there where it waited to be reapplied. Cradling her body in his arms for the last few moments he would get, he lifted her and laid her at the bottom of the hole. Gentle movements from his hands caused the earth to slowly cover her, creating a perfect looking grave.

With her body burried, Mordain leaned down raised his hands to the rock. He spoke words of magic to shift the surface of the stone, burning words into it for all time. The inscription read;

"Hear lies Shaellana, finally at peace and free from a world that did not deserve her. May she find the happieness in death that was not her's to know in life."

With that, Mordain sat back. He remained motionless, staring at the stone for the rest of the day.
"Stand against me if you must, for of course you will. Conflict is just another part of this flawed reality. You need to cling to your concepts and purposes, your feeble honour and glory. None of it serves any purpose in the end. And the end draws close." - Krodalis Thaendil.

"It really is amazing; she killed Kelan Wealer, not that I am complaining, but then the order welcomed her as their new leader. It makes one wonder if I were to ram a blade down her throat, would the monks then follow my commands?" - Mordain Thaendil.

One of the Last Guardians. Suck it.

The day had dragged on, and the time to leave was upon him. Mordain placed his hand atop the stone, speaking softly, "Goodbye, Shaellana." With that, he lifted himself into the air and headed towards Nairio.
