"Smart boy." Saying nothing more, she turned and left. Now she had to seek out the nameless man and inform him of their new orders. |

"Stand against me if you must, for of course you will. Conflict is just another part of this flawed reality. You need to cling to your concepts and purposes, your feeble honour and glory. None of it serves any purpose in the end. And the end draws close." - Krodalis Thaendil. "It really is amazing; she killed Kelan Wealer, not that I am complaining, but then the order welcomed her as their new leader. It makes one wonder if I were to ram a blade down her throat, would the monks then follow my commands?" - Mordain Thaendil. One of the Last Guardians. Suck it. | |

Kassandra entered the man's room and looked down at him. "The Master has a second task for us." |

The nameless man returned to his contemplations. He could be patient, there was no need for hasty action. |

Another day past, the ship now only two days from Amei. Kristian had been unable to get anything further from Wyrillyn; the man had descended into mad gibberish, preaching about the end of the world and rocking back and forth. He wanted answers from Wyrillyn, but knew he was not supposed to talk to him. Questions raced through his mind, but he was forbidden from talking to the prisoner. He would have to wait. |

The final day of sailing had passed. From the helm, Brakk could see the shores of Weissland and the port city of Amei. ----- Kassandra stood over Wyrillyn. "Ten years, Wyrillyn. You hid from Him for ten years." She leaned closer. "Did you really think you could hide from the Master forever?" Wyrillyn shook back and forth, shaking his head. "You have no idea what you're serving." "Oh, but I do. He is the harbringer that will deliver salvation in the only form possible; oblivion. You were a fool to turn away from the true cause." Wyrillyn laughed. "You say that like you know him. You don't understand... I have seen... I have seen his face, his mind, the true extents of what he is. He revealed it all to me." He lifted his head to her. "You cannot possibly imagine." Kassandra stood tall once more. "The end is coming, Wyrillyn, and like it or not you will help the Master to deliver it." --Leaving Sea of Strength-- --Entering Amei-- |

The nameless man had finally come up on the deck for the time being. After so many days in his room without leaving, sleeping, or eating, it must have un-nerved the crew to see him suddenly be there. --Leaving Sea of Strength-- --Entering Amei-- |

The Lord Castoden

--Enters from Coast east of Ordail-- James awoke on a boat; he could tell by the steady rocking, the sound of the waves, and the smell of the sea spray that permeated everything around him. He was lying on a small cot, with his hands and feet bound. As he looked around, he found a beautiful-looking, tan-skinned girl sitting next to him, looking down at him. "So, our guest awakes," said the young woman. "Alisha Morlan," said James, recognizing the girl from Ahm-Shere who had tried to secure aid for her country. "James Castoden," said Alisha in turn. "King of Weissland," said James. "Did you forget?" "Your authority does not hold over me, I am not your subject," said Alisha. James shook his head. "I am not vain or arrogant enough to spout off my title as if it makes me better than you," he said. "I am simply reminding you of the station I hold in Weissland. A station that the people of Weissland will not easily give to another." "What are you saying, Castoden?" asked Alisha. "Do you really thing you will get away with this?" asked James. "We captured you from your Captain of the Guard," said Alisha. "We have little to fear." James smiled sadly and said, "You know so little, Miss Morlan. Captain Kassal is one of the greatest warriors I have known; you overtook us by surprise. But if you think that because you could trick us into letting our guard down that Weissland will simply be a pushover, you'll be in for a shock. There are forces in Weissland that will visit wrath upon you worse than your nightmares." James could see Alisha suddenly get uncomfortable, but she covered it up well and immediately changed the subject, "Nifty sword you've got here." She picked up the sword of Mhairi, still in its scabbard and held it up. Realizing what she was saying, James smiled and said, "Someone tried to pull it out, didn't they?" Alisha nodded. "One of the fools I hired," she said. "Lightning ran up his arm and he screamed as if his hand was burning. Interesting magic." "Only the blood of a Castoden can wield that sword," said James. "Well, then," said Alisha, picking up a blanket off the ground and wrapping it around the blade. "We'll keep that nice and safe." "What about my armor?" asked James. "We have that as well," said Alisha. She leaned in and said quietly, "You know, Castoden, just say the word and we will return you to Weissland. All I require in return is aid for my country." James simply smiled at her. "This is the wrong way to go about this, Miss Morlan." Alisha leaned back on her stool and shrugged. "We shall see." Edited by Hotshot, May 20 2011, 02:43 PM.

After some time, one of the sailors descended the wooden stairs into the hold and announced, "We are approaching land." Standing up, Alisha reached down with a knife and cut the bonds around James's feet. "Come, Castoden, see who you are denying help to." --Leaving Sea of Strength-- --Entering Ahm-Sheran Coast-- |
