"And are those laws against us leaving when we want to?" Justin asked with piercing irony. ((Shaellana is on foot or horseback?)) ----------------------------------------------------------------- Ranorist had a sad look in his face as he looked into the shadows which hid the face of Mordain. "No," he said. "Do not do this Mordain." Cloudwulfe bent low again, kneeling between the four Legion soldiers. He began to mumble to himself once more, looking up at them intently. |

((Foot.)) "Only when one of your own is defying the will of our commander." Shaellana did not like this, not at all. Still, she had no reason to attack the Realmers unless they tried to attack her. ----- Mordain's patience was up. He released two words of Black magic from his lips. Coils of dark magic burst from the ground and entangeled Ranorist in moments. With the big man bound, Mordain walked towards Cloudwulfe. "Get up." he snapped. |

Ranorist roared in fury as the magical rope or whatever it was gripped around his limbs and dragged him to the ground. If it were not for the magic which formed them he would have ripped them apart, but at the moment they were too much for even his strength. Still he fought against their hold. Cloudwulfe looked up at Mordain with fearful eyes. "Go away from me elf. Leave me alone." ------------------------------------------------------------ As Bana heard Ranorist cry out he called out to Justin and ran towards Shaellana, lifting his sword as he did so. He knew she was probably a too skilled for for him to handle, but he could buy time. Justin turned his horse around as Bana leaped between him and Shaellana. He dragged the reins and kicked the horse forward towards the flames. The horse however was fearful of the fire, its eyes going white. Justin managed to force the stupid animal a bit more forward, then he stood quickly up in the saddle and leaped from it. He landed in the grass on the other side of the flames, rolling on the ground. |

Legion soldiers moved towards Justin instantly, their weapons held ready to attack. They knew not to kill, but to capture. Shaellana ducked beneath Bana's blade and swung her swords across the tendons of his mount's front legs. The beast cried out in pain and Bana fell to the ground. ----- Mordain nodded to the Legion soldiers. Two of them grabbed Cloudwulfe's arms and made to drag him to his feet. |

((Bana was not mounted, but it's alright)) Bana rolled away from his mount picking up his horse. The horse continued to scream in pain, it was bleeding badly. He circled around Shaellana, sword held ready, lookin for an opening in the flames. Justin stood up between the Legion soldiers. Following a quick feint he rammed into one of them who did not expect such a move, kicking his knee into the groin of the man. He moved past him and slid past another, kicking his fist into the face of his foe, knocking him down. But his pace had slowed down and behind and at both side they were closing down on him. -------------------------------------------------- Cloudwulfe screamed at the two man grabbing his arms. He managed to push one of them away, but could not handle two at the same time. They held him down. "Don't do this elf," he cried out. "Don't do this." |

Shaellana spun forward. With one sword, she knocked Bana's blade out of the way. With her other, she jammed the butt of the handle into Bana's throat. The man staggered back, coughing violently. Shaellana swung her leg and knocked him to the ground. She extended one sword towards his sword-arm and placed the tip of the other at his throat. "Do not test me, Realmer." ----- One Legion soldier swung his axe towards the Realmer, but his blow was dodged. As the man recovered from his dodge, one Legion soldier grabbed him from behind and began attempting to wrestle him to the ground. Others closed-in to help. ----- The Legion soldiers took a firm hold of Cloudwulfe and turned him towards the column, forcing him towards it. Mordain walked with them, leaving Ranorist tangled in his magic. "And why not, creature? Tell me why you carry the taint of necromancy and perhaps I will be able to release you." |

Bana pulled himself backwards, trying to get out of reach of Shaellana's blade. But he could feel the heat of the flames on his back and knew had no way to run. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Justin felt a strong man make a bear grab at him from behind. He tried to break from it but his opponent was indeed strong. But Justin used his foe's strength against him. As a Legion soldier moved towards him Justin leaped up and kicked him hard in the chest, knocking the man down on the ground. He managed to free his right arm just a little bit in this move, and rammed his elbow hard into the muscle of his foes stomach. The guy holding him released a little on his grip and Justin managed to wrestle free, kicking back with his foot as he went forward. -------------------------------------------------------------- Ranorist could see the Weisslanders taking Cloudwulfe. "No, Mordain," he roared. "You're making a mistake now Mordain." It was more like the Legion soldiers dragged or lifted Cloudwulfe, more than he walked himself. He did not answer to Mordain, instead trying to break free from the two Legion members. |

Mordain waved to the Legion soldiers and they stopped. They didn't release Cloudwulfe, but they stopped. The Mage of Shadows turned and took quick, purposeful steps back towards Ranorist. "And why is that?" He roared. His voice was fiery with rage. Clearly, he had had enough. "There are far too many secrets creeping around these days. Tell me Cloudwulfe's!" ----- "No where to run, Realmer. Surrender." said Shaellana. Her words were cold and impassive. If there was one true talent Shaellana had, it was making her actions completely unreadable. From the way she looked and spoke at the moment, this man would have no idea whether or not she was going to kill him. It instilled fear. ----- The Legion soldiers kept advancing on Justin, forcing him back until his back was to the flames. "Give it up, Realmer. No blood has been spilt yet. Don't give us a reason to change that." |

"This man," Ranorist managed to gesture towards Cloudwulfe, "Was a secret to me only until almost a week and a half ago. All I know is that Ariakas ordered me, Justin, Bana and Angus to bring him to Weissland. But I know that I was ordered to defend him, and I know what you are capable off. What your followers are capable off. I will not leave a man whom I was set to protect fall to your claws Mordain." ------------------------------------------------------------ Bana looked met the cold, neutral gaze of Shaellana and held for a short moment without blinking. Then slowly he stood up, ignoring the sword pointied towards her throat. She pressed the blade against his skin as if to hold him up. But Bana ignored the blade and stood all up, forcing the blade back at the same time. ------------------------------------------------------------- "We'll see," Justin said. He kicked out at impressive speed and leaped past the man to his left, getting out of the circle of Legion soldiers dangerously close to the flames. He could feel the heat on his skin but he passed. He began to run now that he was free of all the foes close around him. |

Mordain turned sharply away from Ranorist and waved his hand at the Legion. They released Cloudwulfe. Then, with another wave of his hand, he dispelled the magic holding Ranorist. "Get out of my sight, Realmer, before I change my mind." said Mordain through gritted teeth. ----- The Legion soldiers did not pursue. They waited around the flames. ----- Shaellana did not raise her weapons to Bana, but she was ready to. "You are a brave one, aren't you? Bravery gets you killed." |

Ranorist rose from the ground, caressing his limbs and nodded to Cloudwulfe. Justin who had ran from the area where Shaellana, Bana and the Legion soldiers was reached them. "We will go quickly," Ranorist said. "I will go and get Bana. You Justin, take Cloudwulfe and our things and get out of here." Justin grabbed Cloudwulfe's shoulder and took him to where their things lay, not far from the burning circle. The Legion soldiers had watched Mordain releasing Ranorist and Cloudwulfe, but eyed Justin and Cloudwulfe wearily. ------------------------------------------------------- Bana stopped moving when he stood up. "So they say," he answered Shaellana. |

Mordain stood motionless, his eyes cast towards the skies. This was a mistake; he knew it was. These actions went against everything he valued. And yet, he was still going to let the Realmers go. Why? He wasn't even sure of that, himself. Understanding, he presumed. Mordain knew what it was to be judged for what you were, rather than who you were. ----- The High Seeker spoke two words. The flames vanished. Instantly, the Legion soldiers moved to grab the Realmer, but Shaellana held up her hand. "No. He is free to go." she said, nodding towards Mordain. |

Bana simply nodded to his Shaellana. He hoped he would not have to fight her again in the future. He and Ranorist joined with Justin and Cloudwulfe. The column had stopped now that they had reached Fargon, but it was doubtful they would stay there for long. The Weisslanders did not have much time. "Do we really have to leave?" Bana asked. "We need to find Ariakas," Ranorist responded. "But is it not more likely that Ariakas will find us, than that we will find him?" Ranorist looked at the younger Mjolnir member and nodded. "That is more likely. But we have to leave nonethless. Staing among the Weisslanders will only give us more problems. They do not trust Cloudwulfe. For the record, I do not trust him either now, but that matters little." At the same time Justin brought the last horse they had (his own horse) to the others. As he did he passed close to Mordain. He called out to him, "I am sorry friend," he said. "It seems circumstance wanted it otherwise. Thank you once again for my release." |

As Mordain met with the other commanders of the army mage lord Amalrith gallopped to the meeting at full speed. He had come straight from his wagon. "Lord Mordain," he called out. "Lord Mordain. The magical blocking of spell spheres." He dismounted as he spoke. "It is gone." |
