"We don't have much to bolster it with," said James. "We've lost half the army already, half of the whole army."

"The dwarves can provide their aid, as can the Order of Light. We are also still awaiting the arrival of Gor's people, as well as the remnants of our army from the Realm."
"Stand against me if you must, for of course you will. Conflict is just another part of this flawed reality. You need to cling to your concepts and purposes, your feeble honour and glory. None of it serves any purpose in the end. And the end draws close." - Krodalis Thaendil.

"It really is amazing; she killed Kelan Wealer, not that I am complaining, but then the order welcomed her as their new leader. It makes one wonder if I were to ram a blade down her throat, would the monks then follow my commands?" - Mordain Thaendil.

((The Weissland Army consists of Men, Elves, and Dwarves, correct? So wouldnt' all three races be included in the totals?))

"The men from the Realm will not bolster our forces too much," said James. "Even when they all arive, we will not even have a hundred and fifty thousand men. And who is Gor?"

((Not sure, but Lathaon and I were talking and he said that the dwarves still have a lot of military strength to offer.))

Mordain turned and pointed to the skies where Gor flew atop his dragon. "Gor is the chief of a powerful tribe who make their home in the mountains along the coast of northern Weissland. His people will provide powerful soldiers for our cause."

((Just in case you mixed it up Jimmy, I was unsure about the wording I don't think Mordain talked about Realmers but rather the last Weisslanders to arrive from the Realm led by Rios and Narandar

If you did not mix up and referred to these nevermind))

((Yeah, I referred to the Weisslanders coming from the Realm.))

"Tribesmen?" asked James skeptically.

"If you doubt them, my Lord, then I would suggest that you test yourself against Gor. His people, the Az'Gor, are an old and albeit primitive people. They have a tribal existence, based around a faith in spirits and their shamanic leaders, but I assure you that any one of them would match three of our own soldiers."

"How do they keep up this fighting prowess? Where do they get it from?" asked James.

"It is in their blood. Long ago, terrible things were done to their ancestors; dark experiments were preformed upon them, involving ogre and troll blood. The blood of these creatures now flows through the veins of the Az'Gor."

James wrinkled his nose. "They are half-breeds. Well, we will take what help we can get, but what good it will do us, I don't know."

Mordain did not fail to notice James' disdain. "And do you have something against those have been deprived of pure blood?" His voice had regained its fury and its dangerous edge.

"Oh?" There was more to Mordain's voice now, something greater than his usual anger. "And what is it that makes half-breeds so untrustworthy? For that matter, what sets the pure-bloods above them?"

James stopped, looked at Mordain for a moment, and then laughed, shook his head, and looked away. "You would never understand. You've lived in Weissland your whole life. Things aren't the same in the rest of the world. You can hold your views and I will hold mine. Get down off your high horse, my lord."

"My high horse? You have branded all half-breeds the same, and you acuse me of arrogance?" The mage's hand tightened around the rim of his saddle. He was speaking through gritted teeth.

"You can't force your opinions on others, my lord," said James, his own voice now rising in anger. "You know nothing of my life. You pulled me away from my life to use me for your own purposes. And don't deny it. You could have done it at any other time but you chose to do it when you did. You chose to do it when it suited you best, with no thought as to what I wanted. You were content to let me sit in the White Realm and let me build a life there and then rip it away from me when you needed me. You know nothing of my life."

"I have walked this world far longer than you. I do not seek to force my opinions upon you, but rather to offer them before you. You would do well to learn to listen to the teachings of others." Mordain took a breath, regaining his composure. "Tell me, do you only mistrust half-breeds, or is it something stronger than that?"

Nathaniel could hear the argument from where he was on the edge of the knights who had travelled up the column with Lord Aldron. There were few nearby who could not hear the heated debate between Lord Mordain and Lord Castoden. It was certainly something Nathaniel would not get involved in, despite his distaste for unfounded prejudices and such blanket statements. He had seen enough of the world to know that things were rarely black or white, but rather shades of grey for the most part. As he began to think on this, the spirit of Lilith Albrecht appeared, floating along beside his horse. He was sure that Lord Mordain would be able to see, and likely hear her, as his second Shaellana had. He was confident that there were no other mages of sufficient power to see the spirit, even the mage lords amongst the column.

Lilith smirked "Dissention in the ranks is it? Oh, what a shame, but you'll all be dead soon enough."

Almost under his breath, Nathaniel said through gritted teeth "Shut up spirit."

Without looking around, he pulled the reins of his horse to the left and turned around. He rode back down the column some way, until he saw Loter Arthious just a bit further back. He slowed his horse, turned it back to the north and waited for Loter to reach him. Nathaniel fell into step with him and nodded to the elf in greeting.

James stopped and looked Mordain in the eye. "Oh, it's more than that, quite more than that. There have been too many occurences, too many 'coincidences', too many foul deeds to allow me to have any faith in certain things any more. My time in Weissland has changed some of those thoughts, but not all, and there are some I don't think will ever change."

Loter returned the nod to Nathaniel as the man fell in beside him. Then he gestured towards the head of the column.

"What was discussed," he asked.
