Nathaniel Drakkon stood by the lying form of Tmar. He hacked left then right, his sword cleaving through two more undead. He swung round, sweeping his sword up into a high block as one of the remaining fel knights tried to bring his sword down on Nathaniel's back. The strength of the fel knight almost broke through Nathaniel's block, and the mage crouched slightly to get his balance. As he locked eyes with the fel knight, he smiled slightly. Before his enemy knew what he was doing, Nathaniel slid his sword downwards and side-stepped. The fel knight stumbled, the pressure he had been exerting on the mage's sword now his undoing. Nathaniel thrust his sword into the side of the fel knight's gut, before slicing the back of his knees in one fluid motion. As the fel knight slumped to his knees, Nathaniel placed the tip of his blade at the back of the fel knight's neck, before pushing. Nathaniel withdrew his weapon, slicing the throat of a grasping undead as he returned to his original position. He finally answered Borsun "I'm not going anywhere." |

"It is forfeit," Borsun mumbled to himself as embedded he threw his sword in a curved throw. The sword seemed to take a life on his own, flying like a boomerang through the battle slashing apart numerous undead and fell riders alike before returning to Borsun hand, following him hacking apart two skeletons which opposed him. "We are all going to die here then." |

((Quick question; what exactly are fel knights? Gorfang, you posted that they were bleeding. This confuses me as my entire army is formed from undead. When you started talking about fel knights, I assumed you meant the skeletal riders?)) Urden released Haidas, the man falling to the ground. Taking a spear from nearby, the Dark Disciple drove it through Haidas's shoulder and deep into the ground below, fastening the man to the ground. Finally, he kicked Haidas powerfully in the head, disorienting him. His blade glistened with fire as Urden made his way towards three mages who fought bravely for their very survival. One of them lay on the ground, and it was that mage who was responsible for the death of a necromancer. Urden looked forward to ending his life. |

The vanguard of the Weissland army, comprised of light and heavy cavalry, reached the refugees and charged into the fray with the orcs, relieving the bedlaguered guards. "For Weissland!" they cried as they charged forward. The orcs were caught on the flank by the charging cavalrymen, and in an instant the cowardly beasts turned and tried to flee, their morale broken. However, the cavalry showed no mercy, riding the orcs down and slaying every last one of them. |

((Oh right. Lol, I completely forgot about them. My bad. Just to clear it up; they're not demons, their spirits encased in armour. So no blood. The full army is still undead.)) |

((Ok, cool. I'll edit the blood bit out. I think I only mentioned it in that post. EDIT)) Nathaniel hacked down another skeleton. There was little time to stop, but he had some room. He called his staff back to his hand. The rain storm continued to slow the other undead heading away from the rearguard. The animated mud dragged more of them down, even managing to crush a few of them. Nathaniel could sense that the spell was beginning to wane though, and would last only a few minutes longer. |

Bana cleaned his blade on a piece of clothing the dead orc had on him. He then stood and stared at the dead body, wondering why the orcs choosed the side of Drathmor. Who was leading these creatures, why did they think they would gain at joning the Great Necromancer. Bana watched the cavalry of Weissland riding the last of the orcs down, then he turned around and continued on with the rest of the march. |

General Feies, commander of the cavalry, rode up and pulled his horse up in front of James and Aldron. "Milords." "The refugees are safe?" asked Aldron. "Yes, Milord," said Feies. "We rode the orcs down and utterly destroyed them." "Are there many casualties?" asked James. Feies shook his head. "We were able to respond quickly enough. We only lost a few men and refugees." "Very well," said Aldron with a nod. "General, you should keep your cavalry up ahead of the refugees to make sure they are not waylaid again," said James. He looked at Aldron for confirmation. Aldron nodded and said, "Yes, keep your cavalry as a vanguard." "Yes, Milord," said Feies. He saluted and rode off to the front of the column. |

Urden pushed a skeleton aside and swung his sword towards one of the mages. He recognised the man from the Great Wall. Yes, this was the Weisslander that had been brought before Lord Drathmor by the vampire, thought Urden. Still, his identiy mattered little. Soon he would be nought but another mindless slave of the Master. The man dodged, but Urden'Hel continued his attack. ----- Spreading his wings, Mordain circled back to James and Aldron. He walked beside the two men. "These orcs will not be the only foes that await to attack us on the road to Asulein." he said. |

As the Dark Disciple attacked Nathaniel, he ducked and dodged, weaving away from his attacks. Nathaniel feigned a low attack on the left, only to quickly raise it and strike his opponent with the edge of the sword. As Nathaniel stepped back and raised his guard again, he could not be sure the hit had done anything at all. |

Mordain shook his head. "No, I did not. But the arm of the Dark Lord is long; he will not want us to escape the clutches of the undead pursuing us." ----- Urden'Hel laughed manniacly. "You're the boy that escaped Moarbrek, aren't you?" He grinned. "Know this, mortal; you will fall before me and join the countless, nameless dead I have cast into the void of history!" With a roar, he attacked again. The man's legs almost buckled under the strength of Urden's strikes, but this one was stubborn and held out. |

Borsun turned and launched a powerful ball of magical, scorching fire into Urden'Hel, pushing the Dark Disciple away from Nathaniel. Borsun was about to cast another spell against his foe when he was hit from behind by another powerful beam of energy. He fell forward into the mud with a scream, a deep wound burnt into his back. He screamed in inhuman pain as another ray of magical fire shot from the fingers of the suddenly arrived mage from behind him. The mage was dressed in black robes with a hood which covered his face. Borsun' mind was consumed by the incredible pain which filled his body. Cyrush, member of the Dark Council, stepped closer and put a foot into his terrible wound. Borsun could not take it anymore, he was broken and fell unconscious. "Finish your work Disciple?" Cyrush said as he gestured towards Nathaniel. |

Urden'Hel stepped forward and struck his foe to the ground. He put a powerful foot on the man's chest, pinning him down. Lowering his blade, he put the tip to the mage's throat. "Ironic, mortal, that the cold embrace of death should come to you from my fiery power." |

"We are moving as quickly as possible," said James. "How can zombies and skeletons catch up with us? And if Drathmor's elite troops come, there will be too few of them. Drathmor's armies rely on numbers, and with the distance already between us, he will not be able to draw us into battle before we reach the city." |

A second force emerged from the west, displaying the colours of Weissland. With Narandar at the head, the remnants of General Rios' army joined with Aldron's force. __________________ Xander forced his way through the undead, brutally crushing skeletons and undead torsos and faces with his hammer, throwing some back with his fist. He had seen Haidas defeated and the disciple escape unharmed. His anger and his hatred for the undead strengthened both body and mind. |

"General Feies's cavalry is riding in the vanguard ahead of the refugees and the main force. Around eight thousand men," said James. "Why?" ((To be honest, I'd rather we didn't have consant battles on the way to Asulien. It's getting a bit annoying to be constantly fighting.)) |
